We ate here after a trip to Alton Towers. Food was fabulous with huge portions. My daughter had the fish and chips and I had the sharing platter starter as a main course. Both meals were absolutely delicious. Would definitely eat here again.

We visited this establishment for the first time today as we squally only venture to the one downstairs but they have become too expensive. I chose eggs Benedict and a avocado smoothie , my partner had a breakfast however she said there were too many beans other than that it was nice and she also enjoyed her smoothie which was the mixed berries one. My eggs Benedict could of been a lot better the ham looked grey and pale and the eggs weren’t at all fresh as the yolks were very pale , if the establishment uses fresher ingredients I think they would do well , it was very tasty but not fresh and the smoothie was to die for it was awesome , staff were friendly and helpful.

My wife and I decided to eat at the Depot after watching a film – we won’t be doing that again! The staff were friendly, but it was hard to attract their attention. The food was very basic, sloppily prepared, and overpriced. Delicata Squash and Feta Salad £13.00 Out of the bag salad leaves with under cooked squash, with the skin still on and a few bits of feta. Apparently the dressing was nice. Cod Goujon and Dill Aioli Sandwich £10.00 Overcooked fish in a dry, barely warmed bun, a few leaves and some grated apple. Asked for some mayonnaise, which at least made it edible.

Came here for a treat as it is quite expensive and not somewhere we can go on a regular basis. Very disappointed Breakfast and coffee were Luke warm. Poached eggs were like hard boiled eggs! Orange juice was full of ice so not much juice. Service was very slow. Not what you expect from Bills we won’t be returning.

Beer is cracking (although I do question the high price a pint considering the brewery is walking distance away!) Nonetheless, remains one of my favourite ales. The food however has nosedived since we last visited a few months ago. They used to offer really good toasted sandwiches, fish fingers, chicken and bacon etc with chips, which nice and pretty reasonably priced. I was disappointed to see these gone from the menu and instead, plain Sandwiches offered (which I think are around the same price, cost cutting maybe?) Anyway, my wife has the salmon and cheese Sandwich and I had a steak pie. The steak pie, brought in and not made on site, was one of the worst I have ever had, all pastry and sauce, spot the meat. My wife's sandwich has the cheapest looking sliced bread going. Apparently it's from a local bakers...if it was, it's a crap bakers. All in all, food not as good as it was, bring back the toasted sandwiches/baguettes as they were SO much better. Won't eat here again if that menu and the quality remains the same. Good place for a pint still.

Had the gourmet 10oz rib eye steak not good very chewey and over cooked sent back and came back still over cooked, so not happy but the team member offered us a free drink on the house which was nice of them, the food in this pub is usually 100% that’s why we eat here regularly
