The best restaurants serving British food in Clandon and Horsley Guildford South East

Lovely place, with seats outside including a blanket if chilly. The staff are very friendly and you can have a complementary biscuit with your coffee.

Another great visit to the King William IV on New Year's Day even though it was a very wet and miserable day. We were met by our new Spanish best Amiga Maria who welcomed us (again) and looked after us well and even brought us up to date on her plans, we hope that she has a great short break in Barcelona. Great atmosphere, great friendly service from all the staff and great food. The Chef even went the extra mile with a special Vegan meal for my wife when the one on the menu was not to her liking - she just doesn't like burgers in any form or indeed beetroot she has reminded me. For a change the choice of the Service Charge was worth it, we just hate having a "discretionary" one forced on us - we are happy to pay for the good service that seems to be the norm @ KWIV. .... and we got Milk Chocolate Eclairs with our bill Overall we are still struggling a bit with the increasing cost of eating out which seems to have been the case since COVID hit - but it is our choice and we are so glad to have had such a good experience yesterday. We are conscious of all the staff who have worked hard at unsociable hours over the Christmas and New Year periods - our thanks to the staff @ KWIV who did it with a smile. The staff were friendly the food was lovely and served with a smile and hot nothing was to much trouble will be returning there again highly recommend

Great lunch lovely food. Excellent menu something tempting for vegetarians as well as meat lovers.Also excellent choice of mocktails and alcohol free beers including on draft. Beautiful setting warm country pub. Will be back!!

Went for a big breakfast and it definitely was! Food was cooked well and, despite being fairly busy, arrived without too much of a wait. Staff were all friendly and the cafe was tidied quickly. Nice atmosphere. Good value for money, would happily visit again
