A lovely 2 days stay at Hartwell House Spa. A beautiful house in exquisite grounds. The spa facilities are top notch and the treatments exceptional. If you book a massage, Christine is your girl! I asked for a deep tissue massage and got a deep tissue massage...that's rare! Beautiful accommodation and delicious food. We will be back!

Friendly relaxed cafe with yummy cafe food and brilliant cakes. The coffee is really good and the hot drinks always properly hot! The staff are wonderful, it’s a relaxed atmosphere and there is a fair bit of room around tables for a buggy or two. My favourite is the quiche with salad and chips - so good.

We popped in to this pub hoping for a cup of tea while in the area. The staff member was closing up for a short time, however she kindly served us tea which we drank while sitting in the nice garden. She checked that we were OK, offered use of the toilets, then locked up and left us to enjoy our tea. On a fairly quick look the pub looks very nice inside, the menus on display were interesting too, and the place is certainly worth a longer visit in the future.

Well what a shock one of our favourite places we have been going to for years has got rid of their wonderful cafe. So disappointed that the family run community loved farm cafe has sold out for a sports bar and venue. Clearly more interested in making money than the local community, glad my poor mum and her fellow group of oaps aren’t around to see the eyesore. Won’t bother with the trek from MK now for their lovely sausage rolls.

My car was rendered immobile by flood damage enroute, after shopping and eating at the Garden Centre and Cafe we waited for assistance from the AA. We were guaranteed transport home and vehicle recovery with our AA policy. As closing time approached we reached out to the cafe manager with no response at all. We contacted the overall manager Dan. His response was appalling he proposed to lock us out of the garden centre , in the dark, in the rain, as it was utterly crucial that the three keyholder staff remaining got home, each to their individual crisis (There was local flooding and power cuts) So his solution was to stand four lady pensioners ranging from 60 to 93 years old on a public road. I asked him to think laterally and find a solution. The stranded vehicle would be unavailable to the AA locked in the car park. I appealed to him to think it through and find a solution , he replied it was not his responsibility and he had a "Duty Of Care" to his staff! He showed an utter lack of compassion and care in this situation. In the end the AA arrived minutes after closing time , Dan did not engage with the AA repairman who then worked under the threat of gates being locked. What monster would put a man like this in a position of responsibility for his vulnerable customers I would ask?
