This place has it all, great food, a relaxing ambience and amazing staff. Thank you for taking such good care of me in 2024.

We have been here a lot over the last few months and it never disappoints. But we booked for New Years Eve and I did honestly expect the standard to be less given they were catering for a lot of people at once but how wrong I was! Could not fault anything and it was all piping hot and really tasty. And the best thing was they did not rush between courses. This is honestly a really lovely family run pub that deserves to be busy … it’s like calling into a friends house; nothing is too much trouble and you never feel like you are putting them out. Have not had a single bad meal here ; would recommend to anyone. Feel so blessed to have this on our doorstep.

En route to the lakes lunch Fish cake and chips and crispy chicken sandwich and triple cooked chips . Chips were definitely out of the freezer , the fish cake was ok but nothing more and my husband said the crispy chicken was boring . Tartare sauce served with the fish cake was one of those really cheap ones out of a jar . For nearly £13 for a chicken sandwich plus £3.75 for a portion of chips it should have been better

What a lovely cafe. Warm welcome, extensive menu, good service and good food! What more could you want! Highly recommended!

Visited for the first time on route to the west coast. Lovely dog friendly cafe set within a holiday lodge park. Very good food. Off the beaten track but would certainly visit again if in the area.
