We decided to have a drive over to Lytham between Christmas and New Year. I went online and looked for good places for brunch and was immediately drawn to Lytham Kitchen. On arrival, there was a small queue outside, but I was undeterred, and we didn't have to wait long before being seated upstairs in the window, which was a delight in itself. Service was cheery and efficient, and the menu had some great choices with a menu of winter drinks. I chose the mulled wine, which was the best I'd ever tasted. Our food (cheese and tomato omelette and veggie brrakfast) was beautifully presented and very tasty. Portion sizes were good, infact we couldn't eat it all. Prices were reasonable, and we enjoyed the whole experience. We will 100% return to Lytham Kitchen next time we are in town.

Made a reservation and wven had it confirmed by email the day before, however on arrival to the restaurant the day after the email confirmation/reminder it was shut, with no contact made to myself, imo do not bother visiting as they even though they claim the guest is god, it clearly isnt by this behaviour. Very disappointed and a complete waste of time.

We attended an event at the Clifton Arms Hotel which we really enjoyed. The decor of the hotel was lovely with a great view over the seafront. Breakfast was excellent - nice choice of cooked options to order as well as a small buffet of cold items to help yourself to. The car parking is limited with some spaces quite tight, but there is free on street parking along the seafront so not the end of the world.

Couldn’t get in the Lytham Kitchen as they were full and so glad we didn’t as staff were a lot more helpful. Visited over August Bank Holiday weekend whilst on holiday in the area. Seated straight away on a large table at the back of the tea room. Menu has a lot of choice with all the food you would expect Jacket potatoes with various fillings, sandwiches, home made quiches, scones cakes etc. The prices are very reasonable especially for a town centre tearoom. I think the thing that makes it special is the attentive staff. My daughter is autistic and has communication problems but they were very kind, talking to her (not us) and understanding what she was trying to order. When our lunch came the plates were massive ! I ordered quiche thinking it would be a slice … it was a full individual quiche with salad and a pot of coleslaw. The jacket potatoes were like a full meal again served with plenty of filling, a salad and pot of coleslaw. My parents in law were very pleased to get loose tea in their pot and not the usual tea bags. Unfortunately we were all too full for dessert but from the ones we saw they looked delicious. Would definitely recommend and hoping to call in again next time we are visiting the area.

Fish batter was appauling, pale soggy and tasted of flour. Kitchen blamed new batter, no kitchen would served that fish at £18. Peas were solid and dry. The manager was very accomodating and refunded the price of the meal but not the point, we went for a lovely lunch. If they cant servce fish and chips there is something!! Vey bellow average/ wont be going back!

Visited Lytham today, usually eat at The Lytham Kitchen, they were full so we walked over to ‘Seniors’ fish n chips. Absolutely fantastic value for a lovely ‘mini meal deal’ cod or haddock (definitely wouldn’t have called it ‘mini’ chips, mushies, cup of tea or coffee, bread n butter, £8 !!!! Lovely food, service, and freshly cooked. We’d have paid double that in the LK, will visit ‘Seniors’ again.

After all the rave reviews we had heard about the excellent Whispers since our arrival in Lytham in May 2024 I can only say that my experience was somewhat underwhelming. Whist toasties & coffees are not going to stretch any chef worth his / her salt, our food was bland & disappointing. With so much competition in town I don't foresee a re-visit anytime soon...

We visited Palm without a reservation without realising they were about to close. Despite this we were greeted by the extremely attentive and friendly owners who were only too delighted to serve us. We had a terrific meal and it was obvious that the pride the owners have in their establishment is evidenced in the quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff employed and they clearly have a very talented Chef. We spent some chatting to the owners before we left and we were left feeling they wanted to create something special in Lytham. We would definitely visit again, just a pity we live in Cheshire. Palm deserves to go from strength to strength.

Booked two rooms at this hotel the met office issued amber warning for snow and advised against travelling Called the customer service centre first thing in the morning refused to move the booking to another date A very dangerous policy when you have a 500 mile round trip to the hotel Never again will I book with this company Terrible customer service with duty of care to their customers
