The best restaurants serving British food in Brereton Rural Cheshire East North West

We booked a table for 3 yesterday lunchtime. For my birthday. The bar was busy on arrival and the restaurant was full too. Lovely atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and attentive without being too pushy. We had the lunch time menu. We all had different meals but we couldn't fault any of them. Everything was excellent. We really enjoyed it. Will definitely be going back. We felt it was really good value for the money.

Waited 80.mins for food, the Sunday beef roast was terrible cheapest cut of beef ie ever had. think I'll still be chewing it next Sunday 1st time and last

Incredible food as always! Great portions and great value! We got the Gyros which is a recent addition to the menus in the last year, battered sausage , fritters, large chips and a pot of gravy. Only have a picture of mine i’m afraid 🤣 Other half had the battered chips and most of the gravy Will always come back ❤️

My friend and I met here regularly for lunch. Today we took advantage of the 40% off mains promotion offer which was very welcome. Or waiter today was called Will. He was charming and most helpful.

Visited today on a dog walk with friends. Booked table last week. Very disappointing food! I had a prawn sandwich with fries. I counted 3 prawns and there was very little mayonnaise. One of my friends had the Lancashire hot pot. It was a disgrace for the price. It looked like a starter, the little pot wasn’t even filled to the top! Such a disappointment. Very small amount of lamb and 2 slices of potato on top. He ended up hungry! We told the waitress at the end, and she said that she would pass it on to the chef. However, we never got an apology or any feedback. Attended the wedding Fayre yesterday. Very concerned that if we book my daughter’s wedding that this is an indication of the standard of food and customer service. Such a shame as a lovely setting.
