The best restaurants serving British food in North West

We visited after reading the great reviews. The service and food were good. A pleasant atmosphere. The menu was greatly reduced from the one on the website which was disappointing.

What a lovely place to go for a bite to eat, slice of cake or just a cuppa. The staff were exceptional, wonderful welcome, all smiles. Good menu and very reasonably priced. What we ordered was lovely. Fabulous place well worth a visit x

I was the DJ at my Grandson's Junior Football Team's end of season presentation last night. All I can say is that Berni was nothing but helpful in allowing me access to her venue to set up my gear in advance of the event. The food provided by Berni last night was top notch and everyone had a great time. Great venue and I would book an event here. 👍

If you come from Fleetwood, you probably already know about this little gem of an eatery on Fleetwood Freeport/Affinity. We visited today and as always, the food was first class, freshly prepared and with very friendly staff. The menu is extensive, and there is something there for everyone. I am a fussy madam lol and it was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much. Just as an aside, it is not uncommon to have to queue to go in, but the queue is dealt with quickly and you very rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes or so. A queue is always a good sign of somewhere to eat❤️

This was our second time dining at 263 and it was just as wonderful as the first. I had a family member visiting and the team had very kindly signed a menu as a little memento - what a great touch! The food was once again incredible with a few changes from the menu on our previous visit - impossible to pick a single highlight but the salt aged beef was certainly the best I've ever had, and the black trompette madeleine instantly unlocked treasured childhood memories of freshly baked cakes - a perfect way to finish the meal. The team were fantastic, a slick but personable service that shows their commitment to the craft. The Sommelier was able to flex her knowledge of wines by expertly helping us select a bottle for the table based on our tastes - never an easy task when there are three people, but it was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. Overall just another brilliant experience from 263 and I'm already excited to return!

Delicious ice cream & friendly staff! Maple and pancake flavoured cream was sooooo creamy. My son’s ice cream was served with a small piece of candy floss. The cobweb ice cream was delicious too! Highly recommend a visit even on a cold and wet day!

The tea room was shut last time we were in Allonby so we were pleased to see it was open. We were stopped from entering at the door in a slightly uncomfortable manner. We asked if there was a table for 2 which there wasn’t. We asked if there might be one later and were able to put our name down and to come back in half an hour. Our waiter was really polite and friendly but in general, the service wasn’t great and we had to ask for our drinks when we saw 2 tables who arrived and ordered after us and was clear ours had been forgotten about. Our table didn’t get cleared for a while despite several staff walking past and it was only when we grabbed the attention of someone and said we’d like to order cakes that it was finally cleared. The whole atmosphere wasn’t particularly friendly or nice. Unfortunately a disappointing experience and we wouldn’t go back in a hurry.

Welcome CB2!! 👏 Lucky enough to work nearby and very happy to be a new regular! The decor is amazing and lovely to experience in what was a very wasted old building that has been crying out for something like this for a very long time, I've worked nearby for nearly ten years and been in this space through all it's forms and can say absolutely that this is the best I have seen it (by far) and the best service I have experienced (by far). The service is absolutely outstanding and the coffee... Wow! The best I've had for a very long time. Food excellent and super efficient staff. Well worth a visit! Everybody needs a little CB in their lives 🙌😊

Every time I go to this cafe the coffee and cakes are excellent, and the service really friendly. It's delightful. Have to say that the coffee is particularly good!

I had a browse of what this quirky little deli had to offer and eventually chose to try a Wheaten Wheel. Think of a big, thick Burton’s Wagon Wheel- mallow-tastic!

Lovely food but extortionate prices! We had 2 sourdough bread toasts , a pot of tea, a glass of squash, and 2 cakes and it came to almost £39!!!! I could have had a cooked lunch for the same price. There was also a hair in the meal.

What A Gem, excellent authentic Food. We first tried a takeaway and was so impressed we decided to book a table, we was so glad we did very impressed with the quality and variety of the food on the menu. The Dorsa is a must to try. Service was top notch all the staff very attentive happy and had time to explain the dishes especially Richie !! He was such a pleasure to have serving us. Would most definitely give this new place a go, you wont be disappointed. Keep up the good work

Excellent, amazing buffet service! Great food, great quality and epic portions. After hearing very good reviews we ordered buffet for 20 for a family occasion.. We could easily have fed the entire neighbourhood! Delivered professionally and courteously straight to our front door. Highly recommended!

Went on a Saturday evening, exceptional service, even better food, all had steak 10/10, would definitely recommend, Will was our waiter who new his steaks Tip go in Tank bar before get the receipt and you get 10% off your bill at Pendergast

Very friendly staff great food and always doing something to help the locals who can't always afford chippy for the family ie offers on dinnertime and tea time meals and superb offers during covid and when the kids are off school. They should be rewarded for their efforts 👌
