The best restaurants serving British food in Amble Northumberland North East

This place is superb. The food is divine, the place is spotless , food is excellent value for money. Very dog friendly and to top it off the staff are just the nicest people ever. You would be daft not to visit. Highly recommended

Excellent lunch, there was a good choice available and it was reasonably priced. I have a milk intolerance but there was still a good choice on the menu as they have vegan choices too. Friendly staff and great service, would visit again.

Popped in for drinks on a night away and I wouldn’t return. The place was dark and lacking atmosphere. The barmaids were in an abundance compared to the amount of customers on a weekend. The barmaids were chatting about the lack of their sex lives speaking so loud using absolutely vulgar terminology mainly about how they hadn’t been touched by their partners in x amount of days and others saying how many people they’d been with in that weekend. The chatting was very loud so the whole bar could hear but mainly entertaining 4 old/drunk lonely customers around the bar. Not a wide selection of drinks it looked like they were waiting for an order that was late. Really not our cup of tea at all no wonder it was dead with more staff than customers. If you think conversations like that are appropriate for all audiences you probably shouldn’t work with the public. I’d have liked to say it was just the younger staff talking about such matters but an older lady in her also involved.

Fab food ! Lovely atmosphere ! Busy place as everything is cooked fresh , but worth the wait ! Sea food platter was spectacular !

Chose this as a budget option which looked ok from reviews. It was every bit as good as promised. Our room was well-appointed and very comfortable and the bathroom excellent too. Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. The staff are warm and friendly and nothing too much trouble. I certainly hope to return for a longer stay.

Now have decided to reserve tables for football, so most tables have sat empty and people piling in but can't get a seat while these seats are still empty as they still haven't turned up. Can't organise anything just a joke. It should be the policy first come first served or let everyone on site know the rules have changed so it's not just the selective ones who can book. Wonder why people give up on this place
