I recently visited Stanhope arms and was thoroughly impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The pub itself has a charming, rustic vibe, with a mix of cozy seating and a lively bar area that’s perfect for both relaxing or socializing with friends. The beer selection is top-notch, with plenty of local brews and classic favorites to choose from. I tried a pale ale that was crisp and refreshing – just what I needed to unwind after a busy day. If you’re more of a cocktail person, they’ve got a creative list of drinks, too! The food is absolutely delicious! I had the fish and chips, and it was crispy, golden perfection. There are also some great vegetarian options that I’m excited to try next time. Whether you’re in the mood for a light snack or a full meal, there’s something for everyone. What really sets this place apart, though, is the atmosphere. The pub has a great mix of locals and visitors, so it’s lively without being too loud. It’s the perfect place to enjoy good food and drinks. I’ll definitely be back soon! If you’re looking for a pub with great food, friendly service, and an all-around chill Stanhope Arms is the spot.

The staff were so unfriendly and gave terrible service. We had to ask for tap water multiple times, for them to bring just the jug with no glasses, they only cleared the table when we asked them to, and they were just super sour the whole evening. Also, I ordered and paid for food and a glass of wine, I was then told the kitchen was closed, so they refunded me for the food but not the wine, which I only ordered as I thought I was going to eat.

¡Solo quería dar las gracias a Nimfa y al equipo! Hiciste el día tan memorable y especial para mi madre y nunca lo olvidaremos. Realmente aprecio todos sus esfuerzos. Esta es mi segunda visita y nos encantó nuestra experiencia y volveremos muy pronto. La comida, el té y el café eran absolutamente deliciosos. Y Nimfa fue tan atento y realmente hizo todo el día increíble. Mi mamá estaba celebrando su cumpleaños y el equipo, incluyendo el manager (sandeep) se esforzó tanto, y funcionó como mi mamá no fue irse. Todo el mundo es tan encantador y el lugar es espectacular. Yesterday was great. Had a lovely quiet early evening drink. Won't try again. We were looking forward to a good end to a fantastic evening. What a shame.
