Yesterday was great. Had a lovely quiet early evening drink. Won't try again. We were looking forward to a good end to a fantastic evening. What a shame.

This pub is attached to the Holiday Inn, and as we were stuck for somewhere to eat friday night they took walk-ins so we gave them a go for a bite. Service was fairly quick for beers, and there was an offer of a burger + pint outside so I plumped for that (but it was only a specific type of cheeseburger. The chips were a small basket but thick-cut and dryly crispy, a great accompaniment; sauces came in small sachets and were a bit limited to typical ketchup and mayo. The place wasn't too crowded and we were happy to sit and mellow, taking in the news up on screens all around. I've eaten here before and I'll certainly return when I'm in the area; there are plenty of other places around nearby but many closed due to the pandemic, so it's nice to get some normality there.

Sono stata qui con mia sorella..abbiamo ordinato una bistecca al sangue ed è arrivata super cotta.,,un classico dei pub inglesi fish and chips ed è arrivato un findus con tantissima panatura!! Mai più!!

Cinco de nosotros vinimos a comer, uno de los miembros del personal nos acercó y nos dijo que necesitábamos ir a la caja a la que respondimos que todavía estábamos eligiendo nuestras comidas. Tres de nosotros tuvimos hamburguesa y papas fritas, pescado y papas fritas y un pollo makhani. La hamburguesa y las patatas fritas de Aberdeen Angus eran encantadoras, el bacalao y las patatas fritas estaban bien y el curry estaba aguados. Estuvimos allí en la hora feliz, así que tuvimos una jarra de sidra de 3 pintas para 13, así que todos pasamos unos 18. 50 para una comida y un vaso de sidra, que no estaba tan mal. El personal parecía bastante amable y estaba bastante ocupado con los bebedores cuando llegamos.

Come in during a game and all you’ll find are locals cheering on their team. The bartenders are friendly and always give a wave if I’m just passing thru. The burgers, nachos, garlic bread and tiki masala are my go to items. Stop in and have a pint while you enjoy your favorite football (or other sport) on the tellie!

Popped in for a couple of pints and watch a bit of sport. Beer is pricey but probably average for the area. Got served quickly and it was friendly enough. Can’t say it’s a great place but ok for a pint or 2.

Egal an welchem Tisch man sitzt (wir haben 3 ausprobiert) spürt man deutlich die kalte Luft sobald jemand die Taverne betritt oder verlässt. Wir wurden 15 Minuten lang nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass man die Bestellung an der Bar aufgeben muss. Das ist ja grundsätzlich OK, nur sollte einem das nicht erst auf Nachfrage mitgeteilt werden. 25 Minuten nach der Bestellung kamen unsere Hauptgerichte. Der Hinweis, wir hätten aber noch Vorspeisen bestellt, wurde äussert pampig beantwortet, die kommen dann auch noch irgendwann. Ich habe dann nachgefragt, ob das so üblich sei, dass die Vorspeise nach dem Hauptgang serviert werde. Darauf musste ich hören, die Reihenfolg spiele ja wohl keine Rolle. Das Essen (Rainbow Burger, Fisch & Chips und Nachos) war durchs Band matschig, lauwarm und ungewürzt - sprich ungeniessbar.

This place used to be good. Not anymore. I ordered the burger m “comes with fries slaw and pickles” well no it doesn’t. I got fries but no coleslaw or pickles. When I paid at the bar before my food had come they had added 10% service charge to what I paid. How do I know if I want to tip before getting my food? I certainly didn’t want to tip as the food was missing!! Beer is very pricey but that’s London TVs are rubbish. If you’re going to show sky sports at least pay for the HD package.

This bar use to be called the "Pub of Pubs" back in the 80's and has been called The Tavern for years now. Nice large hotel style pub with excellent staff and service and reasonable prices. Food is generally good but not amazing (mind you it's hard to find "amazing" pub food in London anymore). Excellent outdoor large seating area for the summer. They seem to have live music Friday nights which was excellent. Open very late for London pub hours so always a perfect spot for a nightcap.

Frankly not a bad pub for a hotel. Went to watch the football and found that the quality of the screens leaves a lot to be desired. Good selection of beers and wines and prices good for the area.

You might not expect to find a great pub/restaurant in a hotel but this one really is! Food was great - we had fish and chips, cheese bread, pasta and beef pie. All the food was fabulous.

Situated on ground floor of the Holiday Inn, this tavern is great for a casual meeting place to have a few beers and quality pub food...great sharing plates.

Had football on but still managed to find a table in a quiet corner. Ordered a beef with ale pie with chips instead of creamed potatoes. It should come with seasonal vegetables but they did not turn up. When asked for it, a bowl of 2 broccoli arrived. Told the staff that it was disappointing but no response and just walked away. The pie was wet and salty. Should have stick with my favourite just across the road. Food Menu is limited and rather expensive. £11 for a large glass of Shiraz. Won't go back again with so many other choices close by.

The disappointment started when ordering. I ordered a vegan avocado pasta for my partner and a spinach tortellini for myself. I was promptly told however that (without properly checking) they were out of the tortellini. I figured this wasn't an issue and ordered the vegan pasta for myself. Along with two diet cokes. After payment had been processed I was told that they did not have any vegan pasta left and was asked begrudgingly would the pasta 'have to be vegan?' I replied yes, though was suspicious of the need to ask this without the offer of refunding the order. She replied that they would have to send someone to the restaurant to pick up some vegan pasta. I asked if it would be possible to cancel the order, but was told that the vegan pasta could be fetched. Foolishly I agreed to this and returned to the table with the drinks. After talking to my partner we agreed that if they had to go to another restaurant, when the bar had quite the queue after me that it would be best to cancel the order and go elsewhere. In addition the diet cokes tasted horrendous with a metallic after taste. I returned to the bar, barely a minute after leaving and flagged down another member of staff. I mentioned that I had ordered and wished to cancel (for a second time). The original member of staff walked past at that moment and said that the pasta was already cooking. I thought it was strange that the pasta had not only been fetched, but was cooking as I knew no one had left the bar to get it from the upstairs restaurant. I was told it would be three minutes, but it was an approximate 20 minute wait until the food arrived. My partner and I were disgusted, the pasta was clearly not vegan and whilst the menu promised 'fresh avocado, sweetcorn kernels, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil and garlic' the offering before us plain pasta with no sauce or marinade with only a few sweetcorn kernels sprinkled around and what appeared to be one tomato cut into quarters. Disgusting for the £10 price paid. My partner and I left the disgusting food untouched and with the abysmal drinks having only a few sips taken from them. We returned to our room and were further enraged after viewing the receipt and seeing we had been charged a 10% service charge without our knowledge or being stated on the menu. We promptly ordered from somewhere else in the hopes that we would find some edible food that night.

great pint of guiness seved here, nice light bites and atmosphere. we had a few drinks early in the evening then came back for night cap, nice comfy sofas and chairs,

Halloumi starter was ok, it's a good job because the main was atrocious. Ordered Aberdeen Angus Texan Burger ... absolutely, well YUCK! Genuinely tasted like a funfair burger, it was definitely a cheap, frozen burger - disappointing as when you order Aberdeen Angus Burger, you expect a little better than that - especially for £14. Not sure where the Bacon was from either but it didn't taste like bacon, in fact - it had absolutely no taste at all. Chips were definitely cheap and frozen and only tried 2 (2nd one just to make sure) but no, tasted disgusting, bland, greasy and rock hard. Ordered just after 6, received starters within 10/15 mins , not long to eat as you didn't get much with the starter. Genuinely think that they forgot about our mains until my husband asked for them and they came out just after 7pm. Really bad service. They had already tried to bring Pizza to our table that wasn't ours 20 mins earlier. Children's meal was as bad - same awful chips that came out steaming hot and a pizza that was cooked extremely crispy that made some serious crunch sounds when we eventually cut through it - my child will literally eat anything, says something when he wouldn't even eat a quarter of what we had got him. Would absolutely not recommend at all and regret spending my money in there! Gone to bed very hungry!!!

Esta es una parada conveniente/estancia en el Holiday Inn después de un largo día de turismo. Nos pareció caro, pero competitivos con productos locales. Como empleado de una aerolínea, pregunta por el descuento de la aerolínea.

La comida fue muy mal preparados y apetecible y el servicio es bastante brusco. Lugar tiene música muy alta y es aire acondicionado de techo muy corrientes.

Definitely worth a visit. The food is good, I had the chicken curry which is a house specialty. In my humble opinion, it was excellent and I will return. Service was good

Six of us ordered a selection of items from the menu and only one person ate the meal. There wouldn't have been any more than two chips from any of the plates that were edible. What a waste of a great location, have a beer and watch the TVs and as soon as someone offers you a menu start running.Casey family kerry

We stayed in the hotel where this Pub resides and we spent a few nights after a long day of touring. Lots of good people, great ciders, prices were good. Food was not bad - Pub food! Kitchen closes at 10:30 so make sure you order before they shut down.

Se non si vuole uscire dall'holiday inn c'è' comunque la possibilità' di godersi l'atmosfera tipica di un buon pub, molto frequentato dagli equipaggi che soggiornano in albergo. Buona scelta di birre e cucina apprezzabile. Unico neo...la moquette sul pavimento.

Excellent pub in the same building as a hotel chain. I wandered in here while in London on business mid-September. I was looking for a place to wind down after a long and busy week, this was perfect, only 3-4 blocks from my hotel. Got a beer and found a quiet sofa near a fireplace (unlit) and a TV. Ordered the leek and potato soup for a bite to eat--it was good, but a bit thin, bread was good. A couple of beers later I was feel alright with the world again.

The pub is attached to the holiday Inn, we found the staff very good but the air conditioning in the place left it feeling freezing cold. There is a good selection of meals available but I found that they were delivered to the table only just warm. The price of hot drinks were also high even for a hotel.

Nice tavern, typical hotel type. Several TV's to watch. Fish and chips were good. A bit different in the UK. Order at the bar and they will bring you the food.

lovely place to unwind after a busy day , and tv's in the corners of the room to watch and enjoy your meal and drink with. I recommend the Nachos which were very nice indeed. Drink prices are alittle expensive but then it is London so Prices are a little higher

This is a typical pub where you order your food at the bar. You will receive generous portions of food here. We ate there twice so I have tried the burger and the chicken makhani and both were delicious.

I had a sandwich one night with a good friend of mine and the food and the chips were so dry and tasteless ...just wasted my money seriously ...if you ever go there please avoid food and just stick with their beers wick are not that bad !!

A short walk from our hotel. Charming place, can get crowded. There was no table service so you had to place your order at the bar.

London beer prices but with good atmosphere in the evenings. A reasonable menu and a good wholesome meal was enjoyed with friends. Such a shame it does not open for lunch or afternoon, especially in good weather.If you enjoy Guinness or craft ales and don´t want to pay £4.50 but £3.00, then there are several bars nearby.

Good but busy place to get a drink before heading out or night cap. A good selection of ale at a reasonable price for London.

Maybe the Tittle is a little harsh at the staff are charming and welcoming, but for a slice of English pub life go beyond a hotel bar and visit a real pub in South Ken.

Crews from several airlines stay at the hotel and so the pub is crowded every evening. The Guinness is cold and plentiful. The lamb shank, hamburger with chips and the curry chicken are all pretty good. One of my pilot buddies had the fish and chips and pronounced it really good.

Part of the Holiday Inn so nice to have a pub without leaving the hotel. However, it charges hotel bar prices. A bottle of prosecco at £35 is extortionate even in London. OK for a pre dinner drink or nightcap but nothing else. We didn't eat here but the food looked ok.

This venue is supposed to represent a typical British Pub, in reality it is the main hotel bar, the food is okay, the service can be slow, and the drinks prices are quite high. They also have the cheek to slap on a 10% service charge and have a tip box on the bar! It can get very busy in the early evenings, during my 5 days here there were a lot of (very loud) American tourists.If you want a real British Pub, just walk up some of the smaller roads in the area and you will come across quite a few.

Great Bar, the beer was the best tasting in the area, wine selection was great. We were also impressed with how clean this pub was

The Cromwell Tavern, in the Holiday Inn Kensington, has a captive audience. I'm afraid that may make the service a bit lax. While the place feels homey enough, lack of wait staff means you have to go to the bar to order everything -- food and drink. Lack of bar seats actually makes this a small venue with difficult seating. Food is OK.

Very homey and comfortable. Easy to relax and adjust into. Good food....price tend to be fair. Friendly wait staff.

This pub is attached to the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum and is a typical looking London pub with seating outside for fine days. The menu is extensive, with lovely sharing platters, which were delicious. There are TV's all around the pub for sporting events but not too loud that you couldn't natter with your friends or hubby if not watching the sports. The prices were very reasonable also and always busy, which is always a good sign.

O local é muito legal, a comida muito boa, principalmente o Fish & Chips, porém o atedimento deixa a desejar.Os atendentes são um pouco mal humorados.Mas o ambiente traduz muito bem um bom pub inglês.

die Cromwell Tavern ist was für Sport Fans. 5 TVs über den Raum verteilt zeigen die wichtigsten sportlichen Ereignisse live. Wir hatten Glück und durften neben dem FA Cup Halbfinale Wigan Arsenal gleichzeitig Bayern gegen Dortmund live schauen. Nicht selbstverständlich in englischen Pubs. Das Essen ist okay aber nicht mehr. Der Service aufmerksam.

Read a few good reviews on this site about the Tavern and as I was staying around the corner I thought I'd give it a try. I was first greeted by a barman who was more interested in the football on the TV rather than making eye contact. I studied the menu and placed my order. I had decided on the traditional chicken and leek pie with mashed potatoes and peas. The price was advertised at around £11.50 but was charged a 10% service charge without any mention on either the menu or from the person who took the order. If you're not from the UK, this is not the norm or entirely legal. My food arrived and was simply a bowl of thick chicken and leek gloop topped with a cold piece of pastry. The only positive was the mashed potatoes as they were superb. If you are visiting our country from abroad please don't take this pub to be a real pub or the food to be 'traditional' English food as it's far from it. I really couldn't wait to get out of there.

Although the Cromwell Tavern looks like a proper pub, we should have gotten the point when the only entrance from the outside was the emergency exit. It's likely only visited by guests from the Holiday Inn, with which it shares building.There's really not much point in going here. If you like different beers you're out of luck - they only have five to choose from. A joke of a pub from that perspective. The food was not great - both the fish and the chips had spent too long time in the deep fryer, and were rock hard. The bangers and mash didn't taste much. No beer to speak of, no food to enjoy - just choose another pub.

At the end of a day out and about in London it was really convenient to 'come home' to good honest food in a comfortable pub environment.Large screen TVs showing sports, which could be a little loud however, plenty of space to move away from the noise to a quieter 'spot'. Great atmosphere. A real cosmopolitan feel to it.Fantastic staff.

Great pub if you are staying at the adjacent hotel. Pretty good selection of beers and the food is alright. Only open in the evnings.

Surprisingly good food (I had cod and chips - fresh fish that day). Staff very friendly. TVs showing sports.

Was like a real London bar of old, prices were very reasonable for food and drinks. Comfy seats and lots of big screen TV's to watch.
