The best restaurants serving British food in Heathfield Croydon London

I went to this restaurant on 23/08/2024 with my friends. I asked if I could have a kids meal as I knew I wouldn't be able to finish the food and I was told I was not able to. So, myself and my friend decided to share a fish as the fish would've been too big for me to finish. The lady who took our order was lovely but she was informed by the "floor manager" that we are not allowed to share a meal and each person has to order their own meal. Ridiculous! I have never been to a restaurant where I cannot share a meal with someone. As someone who suffers with an eating disorder - big portions of food make me very anxious and uncomfortable. Especially in public places. For this reason, I will not be returning to this restaurant to eat in. There are plenty of reasons why people might want/need to share a meal. I don't agree that there should be a rule of every individual has to order something. Please reconsider your eating in rules!

We visit mostly on Sunday lunchtimes. The menu is really varied. You get huge portions! Just like home cooked food - cost is reasonable - love it!

Recently visited the Cricketers with friends for a beverage, how nice it was to finally have a member of staff (ROXI) Who looks to be happy in what her job entails and gets on with same in a professional way with a smile on her face, will be returning again hopefully she's still be there.
