Sadly this venue has gone downhill. When we first started visiting years ago the Staff were always friendly, welcoming and organised. The food menu was extensive and always fresh and delicious.

We liked the pub so much we bought a house nearby. Good ale, wine, food. British pub food plus tapas and pizzas. Plenty of parking. Quite a number of vegan options (not that I have those).
Highly recommend The chequers Inn, as a business user staying away most weeks its extremely refreshing when you have a warm welcome on check-in.
