The best restaurants serving British food in South Northamptonshire East Midlands

Another Northamptonshire Pub that made a stranger who only moved the to area at the start of the lockdown very welcome. Gorgeous cosy interior that has not been corporatized or over developed. Friendly locals easy to engage with. Oh and the ale is stunning The village is stunning and sits on the equally stunning Knightley Way among the lightly used back roads around this largely undiscovered section of the county. Restrictions for the crisis are sensibly managed and not at all onerous. Food has not yet restarted but I am sure it wont be long and there is no reason to believe it wont match the excellence of the rest.

I was looking for a stop over for a couple of nights, whilst visiting the Sandringham xmas fair. Stayed at the Crown inn Friday night and Saturday night. The location was spot on. Very reasonable price for a night with a dog and a good full English breakfast included in the price. The evening meals were good. Hot and plenty of it. To top it off, the selection of Beers and Wines were great. We're already looking forward to our return visit maybe early next year. Thank you to Charlotte and the staff for a great couple of days. Had a great experience, really friendly staff and excellent service. Food was delicious, and plenty of vegan / vegetarian options. I had the mushroom and ale pie. Ideal location for lunch or dinner after a walk at Stowe Gardens. Definitely would go back. We have pretty high standards but we were impressed, deserves a higher rating on TA than it currently has :)

Absolutely excellent food, service was outstanding the lady that served us, Millie, ensured our night was perfect. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back again.

Amazing customer service, Charlie and the team made the visit warm friendly and cosy on a cold winters night. Full praise to the chef for the standard of food. We look forward to many more visits.

I came here on Friday night with my partner for the first time and we weren’t disappointed. The Fox is a lovely old pub with a great atmosphere and attentive staff. I ordered the crab and lobster fish cakes and my partner had the venison burger. Both really delicious and very filling. We were sad we didn’t have room for dessert! Thanks so much. We’ll definitely be back.

Nice sunny day made it a really good experience so we could sit outside very clean and tidy and the nicest cappuccino I have ever had

Solíamos frecuentar LA RED LION a menudo, pero desde el cambio de propietario no es el mismo. La calidad de la cena ha bajado y la cálida bienvenida que acostumbrado a recibir de la anterior dueña ha dejado con ella. Es una pena, ya que este puede ser un fantástico pub/restaurante ya consolidado bajo el antiguo régimen.

Sunday Roast for 11 We all had Sundays roasts and even though they had run out of Roast potatoes The meal was tasty hot and everyone enjoyed The staff were excellent and served up our meal without any long delays Very attentive without being intrusive and friendly even on the shift changeover still great service Would recommend

This little bakery is a diamond . Fantastic cakes bakes and bread with a great location and super friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend this place . Oh , and the best Eccles cake I’ve ever had.
