The best restaurants serving British food in Winthorpe Newark and Sherwood East Midlands

Staying in the area for a week and always like to try the local village pub. This one has to be one of the best, especially for food. Had lunch on Saturday absolutely amazing pork belly tapas with fries plus mac n cheese and went back the same evening for specialty burger plus a grilled garlic chicken all things worthy of a 10 out of 10 some of the best food ever tasted. Add to that very reasonable prices lovely staff friendly locals and impeccably clean toilets. Wish this pub was in our home town

We had one of the best Sunday Dinners in years here, what a lovely place, we’ll be back soon to explore the menu, thank you for a lovely experience.

Stopped in for food with my family and all meals were excellent. I had Steak cooked to perfection and my elderly parents were impressed with their meals too (Burger and gammon). The owner was also very friendly and pleasant, coming over to check how things were. Couldn’t fault the service will definitely return

Good quality and reasonably priced food as usual. Lovely venue for lunch out while browsing around the showroom.
