The best restaurants serving British food in Brampton Daventry East Midlands

I wasn’t aware of CafeMonde before a friend suggested we meet up there for lunch. It’s hidden away down a little road and very rural and very pretty with great views and, if you love horses, you are in for a treat! It was a beautiful sunny day and we sat outside under the shade of a parasol. I was pleasantly surprised to see several vegan options on the menu and the food was well presented and appetising. I had the vegan hummus platter which was delicious. We all enjoyed our food. There was a good selection of drinks and some nice looking cakes (which we resisted!) Staff lovely and friendly and I will definitely return soon.

We had an amazing meal and night out at The Coaching Inn last night - we were served in the bar area by Pia - she was amazing. Such a fabulous waitress, so friendly and perfect service all night. The pea purée with the fish and chips was amazing and my friend had the bourbon chicken wings and said it was the best chicken she’s ever had! Reggae Ray provided the entertainment and he was excellent - such great songs and a great atmosphere. This pub is just the best- amazing food, drinks, atmosphere and entertainment.

Went for Easter Sunday lunch. The menu was Sunday roast. The food was absolutely exceptional and completely delicious. Presentation was mouthwatering and the taste lived up to this. The service was excellent, with all the food coming together and the waitresses being so polite and friendly- nothing was too much trouble. Super impressed with their awareness of allergies. Thank you!

Very disappointed. Service was very slow. Despite booking the reservation had not been noticed so the table was not ready. Risotto was just like boiled rice, very bland.

We had the most amazing festive afternoon tea here today. It definitely deserves a special mention as the homemade sandwiches, cakes and biscuits were fabulous and the attentive staff were outstanding. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family as a great find! ☆☆☆☆☆
