The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving British food

Visited here for lunch today to grab a quick bite on my lunch break, got food to take away. First of all the wrap was wrapped up poorly and fell apart on the way back, paper disintegrated and it leaked into my bag, not a great start. I got the hosin duck, which was very fatty and unpleasant, couldn't even eat a bite. Cost about £6 (no meal deal), felt very cheated as it went in the bin. Don't bother with this place, there are much better places to eat in Manchester.

Avoid this business!! They have recently defrauded me out of £350 for a wedding cake they never intended on making. Most of the numbers for them do not work.

We wanted a cooked breakfast but it's not possible anymore. Limited range of plastic wrapped bread products. Miserly fillings. The staff are lovely but it's a pathetic offering.

Must get here at 5am sharp for bakes or 11am for pizzas to get anything hot. Had 2 steak bakes at 5.20am today which were barely warm. Their shelves are just full of stone cold steak, chicken bakes which are sickly or stone cold pizzas with a very thick base little topping which I endup feeding the crows.

We were a big group with kids. Pre ordered our food but it still took forever to come out, and then was pretty awful all round. Staff were friendly but had no clue what was going on. Very disappointing

if I could do minus I would, absolutely rude owner... what do you want.....is not the way to speak to customers.... the coffee was awful.. Avoid avoid avoid

We went to this cafe last Saturday - and as it was so hot we thought we would try a couple of salads... They do one hot meal, apparently, which we did not fancy - but had advertised Roast Salmon, which when i enquired whether that was hot, was told it was in the fridge. i ordered a portion to share with my partner who after eating half on the bagel felt ill, and indeed had to rush to the toilet after eating most of his food to throw up!!!! I wonder how long it had been kept in the fridge in this heatwave? I therefore did not risk eating it, and when i told the chap who had produced this, he just shrugged his shoulders??? I SO regret not taking any photos! i shall not visit this place again, and have advised friends NOT to risk going to this place.

Disgusting service, food missing from every single meal, dirty cups , no drinks for kids even tho alot of advertisement of free kids meals but nothing for them to drink , staff dressed in jogging bottoms not professional at all. Not warned at time of ordering that food would be missing when we asked for discount as food was missing it wasn't much off at all for what was missing no atmosphere not even a little bit of music playing wouldn't recommend at all. Shame I even had to put 1 star

Since it changed name to Mr frys prices have shot up to large chips and two mugs of tea £12 is ridiculous use to come here all the while when Allisons all the specials advertised are never on its only saving grace is Adam but don't see him much now due to delivery take aways

Placed works breakfast order. Hoped this would be our new regular food order cafe. How wrong was I. Placed large breakfast order told 40 mins oh delivery time and still charged delivery charge we are based in wednesbury too so not far from them, that was fine especially if it was worth the money. After 1 hour I rang for update on order. Was told order not yet started did I still want it. Yes I did . Too late to go elsewhere. Gave them our works number just in case. Less than 2 minutes later they called us back to say our order had been cancelled due to us being rude. They were very busy and looked after their regulars and put the phone down on us. The only rude people being rude was them if they can’t cope with the orders they get then don’t accept them in the first place. Don’t bother with these unless they know you personally. Very poor business ethic

it bloody 'onked of currys the dirty little fobs.Please clean the bloody floor, its covered in whit, sticky, mayonnaise type liquids and i also found a 3" crusty green and yellow big toenail in my chicken vindaloo. Now remember when you're a bad boy, yank grabs a shoe... hope everything gets fixed and i don't need to eat anymore nails,

Terrible bebida y ambiente realmente aburrido. El personal dejaba mucho que desear y parecía bastante desinteresado con sus clientes. No volvería de nuevo y no lo recomendaría. Desperdicio de una tarde y dinero.

Fui al restaurante para el almuerzo con mi pareja y mis dos hijos y me encantó ver tenían un menú para niños. Sin embargo, cuando la hamburguesa de mi hijo salió parecía muy apetecible, un poco como una de esas hamburguesas puso en el microondas, mi otro hijo había pescado y patatas fritas (patatas fritas congeladas claramente) con la menor dos piezas de confinado de pescado en dos enormes piezas de pasta. había pescado y patatas fritas del menú de adultos que era muy seca y las fichas donde congeladas. Para ser sincero nada cualquiera que teníamos era terriblemente agradable. Nos preguntaron sobre 4 veces si habíamos terminado antes de que nos lo cual era molesto y nos hizo sentir muy incómodo y prisa. Cuando la camarera venía en una de las ocasiones que pedir de que estábamos hecho ella me dijo "Me referiré helado para los chicos" de tal manera que les gustaría oir lo que significaba que claramente lo como algunos, me parece una ogre para decirte que no. no quería pedir postre. Ella se volvía al recoger los platos dijo "conseguiré el helado" para que los chicos son ahora pedirlo ejerciendo presión innecesaria en mí. Cuando la factura era las bebidas donde cobran es una manera muy extraña. tenía una pinta de zumo de naranja y refrescos agua que era pormenorizada como 4 bebidas por separado, dos naranjas y dos Dash soda, y el costo £1.25 por un 1/4 pinta de zumo de naranja. parecía un muy complicado y confuso procedimiento para una bebida. Los niños tenían naranja mezclado con agua del grifo £1.25 . todo era muy pobre, ridículo y decepcionante.

Bien después de una noche fui aquí por un bocadillo pensando en conseguir algo sabroso, la verdad es que acabé con secador del perro. Literalmente el Bloody pelo del perro. Tuve un bocado en mi butty y para mi sorpresa terminó con un pelo.

El servicio era pésimo, comida tardaban mucho en venir y tarda una eternidad para conseguir la atención de los camareros y camareras que te sirvan más bebidas mientras se espera para la comida. Me decepcionó mucho, así que mis amigos. La comida y las bebidas estaban bien caro para lo que se dieron, aunque está en Londres,
