Visited here for lunch today to grab a quick bite on my lunch break, got food to take away. First of all the wrap was wrapped up poorly and fell apart on the way back, paper disintegrated and it leaked into my bag, not a great start. I got the hosin duck, which was very fatty and unpleasant, couldn't even eat a bite. Cost about £6 (no meal deal), felt very cheated as it went in the bin. Don't bother with this place, there are much better places to eat in Manchester.

When visiting the Hardman Street branch with my girlfriend earlier today for an attempted lunch, the service was shockingly awful. We ordered a hot sandwich meal deal - the sandwich being £6.49 and an extra £2.50 for the meal deal addition. After initially ordering the sandwich and waiting 5 minutes, it was shouted to us that actually they had ran out now and couldn’t make what we paid for, so offered an alternative. The alternative option chosen was then also revealed recently out of stock. After finally deciding on a 3rd option and waiting for nearly 20 minutes, we approached them and asked where it was, to which they said “oh we forgot to put it through”. We were having a tough day already and only had 25 minutes for lunch before a 2.5 hour meeting so this was the only chance to eat something. My partner left upset, with this making an already hard day much worse, especially after them only refunding the sandwich and refusing to refund the £2.50 meal deal because it had already been received. The fact that £2.50 wasn’t even considered adequate compensation for the mistake they’d made, after awful service and incompetency, is absolutely shocking and I would not recommend this store to anybody.

the business has completely stopped using them. The person managing the orders there is a disgrace for the business. They are useless at helping customers and wont put any work or effort to keep clients. The person responsible for the shop there is a completely disgrace and shouldn't be working with people or for people. To the owner. The lost a full business orders because of this person in charge, Something to look into. the person should be fired!

I've been a regular customer of Philpotts for a number of years as its local to my office and before COVID-19 the people on the counter were great and never got an order wrong. Unfortunately since the new staff have been employed at Philpotts, they must get 1 out of 3 orders incorrect and I order the same thing pretty much on a weekly basis (covid weight gain still in progress). How hard is it to get sausage, hash brown on brown toast right? They are also extremely rude and if it wasn't so close to the office I wouldn't return. Philpotts are like an abusive ex, you keep going back for more trying to remember the good times but only ever get disappointment.

I was using the app to order food to take advantage of the offer they had on of a 25% discount I had seen advertised last time I was in the store. I ordered at 11:36, and put through a bacon and sausage sandwich and a salad box, the payment was accepted. I went to collect my food with my colleague, and once I arrived I was told my order was rejected as they stopped serving breakfast at 11 and the product should not have been on the app. I was expecting my salad to be completed due to how it was explained to me but in fact the whole order had been cancelled, and not one apology had been offered as to an issue that was not caused by me. I then attempted to reorder at the till and asked if there was any way I could take advantage of the offer in store, which was met with a firm no and went on to tell me I couldn’t do it on the app either as it is of one time use. I was absolutely shocked by his attitude to this and he offered no apology or any assistance at all. There was no one else in the store at this time so I refuse to believe it can be excused by being busy. It’s really hard to put into words to express his attitude but if that is what Philpott’s consider good customer service then I can’t imagine you’ll do well for much longer as people return to the city centres. Considering your business seems to be begging for customers after the pandemic, to then treat a regular customer with such contempt would not be the smartest move in my opinion. I was made to feel as if this was my fault and I was unwelcome in the shop. The manager was incredibly argumentative ensuring he had the last word and raised his voice on a couple of occasions, I hope your CCTV has audio so you can review the footage.

Went in was greeted with a member of staff pointing out menus and informing us of ordering procedure. Very pleased with Covid procedures in place. Enjoyed our meal service was great very happy.

A couple of drinks and snack before our flight. We ordered food which was a long wait, turned out the table number had been taken down wrong. Staff were apologetic and re ordered the food. Katie brought the food and offered us a complimentary drink... she didn't have to and it was appreciated, Thank you Katie, and great customer service from all the team today 😊
