Saint Smokeys Bbq House

Westgate, Canterbury
08/12/2018: Dagje kerst shoppen in Canterbury!! Gelezen op Tripadvisor dat het lekker was dus geprobeerd!! Was genieten!! Héél lekker!! 15 min wachten meer dan waard!! En dan nog voor die prijs. Een echte aanrader!! Top!!
13/11/2018: Ate here with my daughter and loved it, ordered from the lunch menu for £6.50, I had a quarter of a chicken with breast meat with medium barbeque sauce, salad and rice and a fizzy lemon drink and my daughter had the same but with chips and coleslaw and fizzy orange. The lady serving was very pleasant and the food is cooked to order so this is not fast food but we didn't have to wait too long for our order. Food is served on wooden plates and was delicious. Seating isn't the most comfortable but other than that no complaints. Used the toilets and they were spotless, will definitely revisit and would recommend. My daughter want sure if I would like it but I did. A small amount of outside seating at the front but obviously too cold for that atm.

The Old Bank Steak & Ribs

Queen's Park, Brighton and Hove
01/12/2018: Wot a little gem this place is. The food is cooked to perfection and there is a good choice on the menu. They have brilliant deals such as 2-4-1 cocktails at certain times and offers relating to 25% off your food bill at off peak times. Our waiter, Tom, was very attentive and the magician was a nice touch to the evening’s entertainment. Will definitely be back.
30/11/2018: I came here with my husband as we had planned a night away in Brighton. Having searched Trip Advisor for restaurants the reviews seemed good so we decided to try it out and we were not disappointed!

Windsor Grill

Castle Without, Windsor and Maidenhead, 45-60£
18/11/2018: Quickly becoming one of our favourite restaurants in Windsor, very good quality food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere!
17/11/2018: Booked here for sons birthday Tuesday 13th 8pm.Shown to a very nice table ambience throughout was very nice.Ordered a beer glass of wine and a cocktail and nibbles of pork crackling and olives plus was given bread nice butter. The crackling was the best I have had clearly homemade not packet if the apple sauce was a little strong for me.

The Wellington Arms

Baughurst and Tadley North, Basingstoke and Deane, 30-45£
17/12/2018: My friends from France who were staying with me in Tadley were very impressed with the Wellington Arms. Surprisingly on the Tuesday night that we visited there were two other French families eating there.
01/12/2018: Went as a foursome (self, wife, son and daughter-in-law) and we all enjoyed our meals. I can't remember what everyone had but my wife had twice cooked cheese souffle starter and I had the mussels. Both were excellent, the mussels being large and juicy. For mains we both had cod, mine being common or garden 'fish and chips', my wife's being cod loin on a bed of mash etc.and these were also very nice. The treacle tart dessert was excellent. I'd give it 5 stars but for the fact that the chips were only OK.

Istanbul Restaurant Barbeque

St Jude, Portsmouth
12/12/2018: We received a warm welcome from Mike on arrival. We ordered a bottle of their house red, which is always good & then followed up with Tarama salad & Arnaut Cigeri for starters which we both shared as we did with our mains of beef ribs & Chicken Kulbasti.
09/12/2018: Another return visit from Essex to Istanbul restaurant , only a few weeks since the previous visit .

The White Hart

Witley and Hambledon, Waverley
29/11/2018: Came for Thanksgiving dinner with a small group of friends and we had a really delicious meal. The turkey was a revelation - moist and tasty instead of the usual dry and bland. Service was friendly and attentive and the best bit....there was a brilliant duo playing live music in the bar so we rounded off our night in there with several knock-out old fashioneds - thanks for a truly great Thanksgiving
27/11/2018: Party of eight friends on round table, plenty of room. Shared starters, excellent, turkey with trimmings for most of us, amazing burgers for two. Staff attentive and efficient both in restaurant and bar. Great group playing live that evening.

The Duke of Wellington

Clandon and Horsley, Guildford
29/12/2018: Looking for a restaurant to entertain visiting friends, never been to this place before but it was close to their accommodation. A bit put off by the gastropub description on their website but meal was surprisingly down to earth and wholesome and reasonably priced. I honestly think the beef and beer pie was the best I have ever had. Not much choice of bitter but what they had was well kept.
28/12/2018: Called in for drinks part way around a walk. Attractive looking pub and they were OK with my friend bringing his dog into the bar. Roaring log fire is always welcome in winter.

Jack and Linda Mills Traditional Fish Smokers

Regency, Brighton and Hove
24/11/2018: Nice hot kippers & mackerel baps, delicious soups. Good prices, no long waits, clean, and served by a lovely couple!
17/11/2018: Rally nice place we loved the food and the staff was really friendly definitely we are going back !!!

Charcoal Grill

Knaphill, Woking
23/11/2018: Best around by far. Only criticism is the staff need to wear disposable gloves then handling both food and cash.
06/11/2018: Lovely fresh food and always great service. This is one of our family favourite takeaways, definitely not your average kebab shop.

The Hut

Totland, Isle of Wight, 20-30£
22/11/2018: This was one of those perfect meals that one sometimes has by the sea. The weather was fine, the food was good, the company was excellent. We had sand sole with salad and chips. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the service was pleasant and efficient. We accompanied our meal with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, and finished it off with delicious puddings and coffee. Our table was by the windows with a spacious view of the Solent. Marvellous and memorable.
09/11/2018: I’ve been to The Hut several times now with family, couples and this time, some mates. We started with jugs of rum cocktails, had dinner with top food and wine and finished with a few more cocktails. Its a really lively place and definitely seems to be the place to go. Will be back in the spring!

The Horley Charcoal Grill

Horley Central, Reigate and Banstead
13/11/2018: If I do have a take away I will always use charcoal grill. it is the best by far in Horley. Never scrimp on potions.
03/10/2018: I don't go in there too often (bad for fighting the flab!), but on occasion when I have missed a meal I've found my car driving in that direction. Very generous portions and a good salad with the kebab. Better than the ones I've used in Reigate.

The Waterfront Bar & Restaurant

Totland, Isle of Wight
25/11/2018: It was near to where we were staying, and people we knew said it was good. So we gave it a try. In the late afternoon, we had a drink overlooking the bay. Very pleasant, an excellent local lager, a generous glass of wine, and a surprisingly low price given its prime location.
20/11/2018: Having eaten here several times over a few years I have witnesses the Waterfront in bad times and good. Happy to say I was please to see the massive improvement in all departments from quality of food and service and the last time I dined there, a few months back, it was for a Sunday lunch that was fantastic.

Anatolia Barbecue Restaurant & Takeaway

Ashford Town, Spelthorne
08/10/2018: The food was perfect, the service was great from freindly staff. Portions amazing and all for a great price. Highly recommended this place for wonderful BBQ grilled food. Enjoy.
31/08/2018: Can honestly say I’ love this place friendly staff their food is all prepared as you wait and always faultless with a very varied menu something for everyone

Casa Brasil

Paulsgrove, Portsmouth
18/08/2018: We have dined in a few of these restaurants at various locations so we know what to expect. The choice of salads and hot food Looked so fresh and appetising and there was a wide selection of barbecued meats. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was busy but you are never rushed and can stay as long as you want. Very enjoyable and lovely atmosphere.
18/08/2018: This was our second family visit. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The buffet was amazing and a meal in itself but we were there for the meat!

The White Horse Smokehouse & Grill

Steyning, Horsham
23/12/2018: Went for family Sunday lunch. Very smart and attractive room but food was poor. I ate only about 5% of my roast beef which was very tough so I asked to take it for the dog which was done happily but not asked why so little had been eaten. Bill was 20% higher than it should have been but corrected quickly with an apology. Smart and stylish but poor food.
22/12/2018: The car park is small and neither my friend nor I could park, so we drove around for 20 minutes until we found a spot on a residential road. However, The atmosphere of this pub was super, the staff were incredibly helpful, kind and friendly. Everything was going well, until I tried to order the ribs, which were unavailable. So I went for the 'minute' sirloin. As the member of staff informed me, this wasn't one of those flat minute steaks, but a 'tiny' steak. That was fine by me, until I got it. The rest of the food was absolutely fine (chips with skins on were excellent) , but the steak, a bit burnt on the outside and not really medium to well done (to be fair, most chefs can't seem to understand what pink in the middle means), it was the fact that despite its appearance, it was mostly gristle and sinewy. So my cat had a feast that evening as there was nothing lean I could eat. I will go again, but will probably keep off the beef.
