The best restaurants serving Asian food in Central Hove Brighton and Hove South East

I wanted to treat my Vegan Daughter for a light lunch and she suggested we try this little place tucked away in a side street in Hove. I'm not a vegan but definitely a Thai and can only say what delicious food we had. The taste is 101 % Thai home-cooked with a special mention to the Papaya Salad ( Som Tam ). So good, so moreish. Give me more !! Won't be long before I'm back there again to try the rest of the menu and the Special dishes of the day.

Moonstone is a true gem! The food was absolutely delicious, full of bold flavours and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience even more special. A must-visit in Brighton & Hove, can’t wait to return! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was here last Saturday for a friend's funeral wake. Lovely bar & food was very good. Will definitely visit here again if I'm in the area.

Upon walking in, the waitress was incredibly kind and served us so nicely. When the food was ready, there wasn’t any napkins or knifes and forks as we were getting a takeout. We then asked the other waitress if we could please get napkins and knifes and forks. By this point she was talking with her friends and had been from The time we walked in. She then gave us a cold look and seemed really annoyed that we asked her something while she was talking with her friends. She then replied and said ‘ we just got chopsticks ‘ . The food portions are incredibly small and the taste was quite bland. For a restaurant it seemed a little weird that they only had chopsticks as we don’t know How to eat with chopsticks and I’m sure not everyone does either so we struggled to eat our food. Will not be going back.

There's curry, and then there's Ganges curry ... know the difference. It's my go to establishment for a reason. I usually opt for the Chicken Madras coupled with some pilau rice or if I'm feeling extra British I might choose to replace the rice with chips and go for the 'chipper dipper' approach. And don't forget the sag-aloo, poppadum's & naan bread although that should be standard when ordering any kind of curry. The owner is fantastic, backed up by his excellent staff members. Highly recommended if you're looking for a tasty treat in Hove.
