The best restaurants serving Asian food in South Tyneside North East

Do not let anyone tell you bad things about this place. We ordered the meal for 2 which cost us less than £20. As for value for money this is fantastic, there was so much to eat it did allow us to have another meal the next day. As for the quality and taste of the food it's as good as any other and better than most. I would hartely recommend this takeaway to everybody.

After a busy day, cooking a meal was not something I fancied doing so instead I fancied a takeaway. Choice then becomes which one? Abbeys had proven really tasty before so that was the choice. Keema naan (full of filling), fat chips and mushroom pilau as sundries. Tikka chicken rogan Josh and chilli chicken masala were the mains. Really quick service and hot to go. Great choice

Impressive looking,welcoming staff,live music ,Buskers etc most nights of the week.Reasonably priced drinks and great location.Give it a try the new owners are turning it around

Wife went to see limehouse lizzy at the customs house with her friend so as I was dropping them off I ordered a takeaway over the phone and we would pick it up on the way to the show. I ordered a box meal salt & pepper chicken with fried rice, wife went in to pay and pick it up. I dropped them off and went home getting in I opened the box and found this 4 spring rolls 2 chicken drumsticks 2small pork ribs 2 battered chicken pieces on a bed of chips and chopped onions not what I ordered as it was late I decided to eat it bad move to greasy very disappointed

This is my second experience using this take away and yes I was very happy with the food it arrived hot and full of flavour. I certainly will be using again. It is not only good value with the food choice being of high standard.
