Absolutely unbelievable scenes, go there everyday for a tikka stir fry and biriani if I'm on a health kick, or an unbelievable jalfrezi

Me and my daughter always order from here for our Curry’s they are lovely and taste brilliant…. But even more there customer service is 5* especially for the delivery guys my daughter has ADHD and is a little lot cheeky to them when I say sorry they not bothered I’ll ring shop and always say it’s ok so In my eyes that’s lovely ppl thank you and brill food

Takeaway Chicken Korma and Masala was watery and bland. Hardly any taste to the sauce and chicken very rubbery and chewy. Chips with the order were also not the best. The starter Tikka pieces were OK, not as flavoursome as other places I've tried before. Garlic naan bread was plain, no hint of garlic. Poppadoms were the best thing about the meal. The staff were nice, and this is my opinion, the food wasn't for me.

Everyone ordering Oh yes sir you have spent 18pounds you qualify for a free starter this went on for six customers when I queried why when my order was 24 pound I didn’t get a free starter the answer you have ordered a taxi special and so don’t get one. WHAT I will just spend elsewhere as I get free starters elsewhere

absolutely amazing fresh cooked food, we ordered the meal for 2 and wow it was outstanding chicken madras for the Mr and chicken kashmiri for me, fantastic value for money and huge portions and all those lush sides 😋 Thanks to the whole spice station team we will be ordering again.

We spent nearly £70 on meals and not half was eaten , it was disgusting, never go there again if I was starving , the chicken was like chewing gum the rice was still frozen the curry was just peppers and hardly any chicken !

Got two wrap meal deals. Wasn't sure at first but you get the naan wrap with he chicken inside, no particular need for sauce unless a preference. You get chips on the side. Ordered on their website and estimated delivery time was almost on the dot. Delightful, slightly messy meal but worth every penny.

2 years later tried again same results old chips could pebble your garden with them old nan bread use it for a paper waite soo heavy rice was ok curry had no meat good for vegetarian in overall not good will try again maybe will get a 5 star one day 😅 no pride in there food ,

Portion size good but food was tastless ordered nan wrap bombay aloo chicken chat mix kebab and keema bhuna starter every dish lacked flavour or spice of any kind very disappointed everything went to waste

Ordered a chicken phall on Friday 10th December which I picked up from this takeaway. What I received couldn’t be eaten! Chicken, tomato paste mixed with chilli powder! So thick and disgusting! Photos showing how thick my ‘curry’ was! On taste it was tomato purée with chilli powder! Look at the photos upside down on spoon!! I could of plastered the walls with it! Definitely don’t recommend here at all if this is the standard of food now! Didn’t even have any curry taste to it. Waste of money! And now in my bin!

The food is ok but not the best, the curry sauce is lacking in flavour the keama nan has different meat to what I normally get it's gray in colour and tasteless.. It's not the worst place nor the best.

I have tried nearly every Indian takeaway in south shields literally and found spice station to be the best by far. Food always arrives quickly, fresh and tastes amazing. Staff are really friendly and can cater for all your needs. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Was so looking forward to tonights meal, but unfortunately very disappointed. Bland main dish with seriously cheeky lack of chicken. Blackened onion bharjis, plainest veg bhaji and saddest side salad ever. We were an early door order for a Saturday, so sorry you guys but no excuse.

Outstanding food, l ordered the murghi mossala as usual and, as usual it was perfect. Delivered within time stated and there was enough to feed me at least twice. Best indian cuisine l’ve eaten to date. Very reasonably priced too.

Well what can i say about the spice station. Having been told about by a family member. I decided to try it and I wasn't disappointed. I decided to try the 8 course meal. Which for £10.95 was a brilliant choice. There was more than enough for me and my dad. The member of staff that was in the front of the shop was really nice and friendly and helpful. Would i recommend the spice station. Yes i would. And i will be returning soon.

I ordered a takeaway for delivery a few days ago, I have ordered from here a lot over the years and used this restaurant when it was based in Laygate. I am of the opinion people are very quick to complain but rarely as keen to praise good service. Everything with this restaurant from phoning the order in until the last mouthful is great! Very friendly well mannered man on the end of the phone taking the order, gave accurate price and expected delivery time, offers free starter when eligible with your order. Speedy delivery and food red hot on arrival, nice attitude from the driver. Food the best I have had from any takeaway, superb flavours and excellent quality meat! Thank you Spice Station.

Just had chicken bhuna n keema pilah rice,what can I say it lacked curry very poor no ingredients at all no flavour never had anything like it b4 worst ever not to mention the delivery guy I gave him a tip with no thanks then I said bye no response .....avoid at all costs 👎👎

First time I have used this takeaway and certainly won’t be my last. Excellent service from placing the order to taking delivery. Excellent curry absolutely fantastic. I've been using this restaurant for some time now. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in South Shields but I recommend this one. The food is first class and the staff are friendly and efficient. Try the chilli chicken masala, it's splendid.

Decided to try the Spice Station after previously using them to help cater for a party .My daughter is vegan so sometimes ordering food is a pain to be honest They had a full menu available on the counter to sit and choose from which contains allergy information alsoWe opted for a vegetarian saag and I had a chicken tikka stir fry starter along with a few side dishes Without doubt the best vegetarian curry I have ever had. All the food was delicious but the saag was amazing

It’s been three years since I left my last scathing review of this place. I was served food from here recently and couldn’t believe the change. It’s gone from somewhere I hated, to my favourite takeaway. The food is excellent and so is the service. The Thursday night special is excellent value. Highly recommended.

The food here is good but lately the service has let it down ordered just before 6 not long after it opened and waited till 7 30 with no reason why . I was told we would receive delivery after 45 mins not 90!!! Shame it’s put me off as the food is nice

En el último un excelente rincón en el hindú para llevar. Excelente comida a excelentes precios. Yo tenía una envoltura shaslik comida. Enorme con gran porción de patatas fritas y una lata de gaseosa. Sólo 5 libras. Personal amable. Recomiendo encarecidamente el especiales taxi. Vale la pena una visita. 10/10.

Since it opened, this place has produces excellent food catering to all tastes. Their Thursday and Sunday Night Special Menus are excellent value for money! The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and will always offer advice or suggest suitable dishes for you. Pop in! It's well worth it!

Hi had a chicken korma on 02/02/16 after a couple if mins this went in the bin. It was aboustley appalling the chicken had black bits and bruising in it and it tasted cheap, also the sauce was very dry. I will never eat hear again

Used to be a different shop in a different location and it was awesome, however the move brought new staff and service and now it's a cheap money spinner. The food we ate was dreadful and most of it got binned.

Tried here as my usual take away was closed and found it so much better. It used to be based in Frederick Street for 12 years then relocated to the nook when Frederick Street was pulled down. For orders over £14 you can have a free starter or for emergency services, NHS, OAP's you can have 10% discount. Delivery is available but I always collect as the meal is much hotter. The bhuna and madras dishes are very tasty with plenty of soft chicken. Vegetable pilau rice is non greasy and one portion easily is enough for two people. Nan breads are also tasty. Meal usually cooked within 20 minutes

Delivery is always very quick from this place, the food is really really delicious & flavourful and the portions are large however sometimes when ordering a curry the chicken is in chunks and other times it is in slices, I would prefer it to be the same each time but other than that it's good!

We used to go here before it was relocated here.mit used to be Pride of India which was one of the oldest and best takeaways in South Shields. It has since gone downhill into the realms of average. Not the worst but we go elsewhere now. Shame.

My friends and I decided to have a takeaway. I ordered it for 8pm it was a little late 8:10pm but this wasn't a problem to us. We ordered 2 x chicken jalfrezi, chicken tikka masala, and a madras curry, 3 different rice dishes, chapati, plain nan and a portion of chips. £29.90. All of them were deliciously thick and creamy. Will definitely use again.

First time ordering tonight,it certainly won't be the last,very efficient service and the food is second to none,very moreish we had chicken madras and chicken bhuna and both were superb.

This is our first visit to the Spice station and have not been disappointed. The chicken madras was hot and the chicken was succulent. The price was very reasonable. Will definitely be making further visits.

been here a couple of times, always a nice tasty currie and the rice is lovely cooked. The madras is a little bit hotter than other places i have been to but if that is my only complaint then its not worth mentioning (though i just have :-/ ). Reasonable price with good portions

The newest contender for the title of Best Indian Cuisine Takeaway in South Shields.This is what good food tastes like, plenty of fresh flavours and not pumped full of SALT.The owners have learned from years of experience in this field and the head chef is a traditionalist.

Worst Indian I've had in a long time, in shields you would expect they'd at least try!
