The best restaurants serving American food in Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

We only spent a couple nights in Edinburgh but had to go back here on 2 consecutive days because we enjoyed the breakfast and coffee so much. Thank you, we hope you get to expand!

Phenomal food, burgers are top teir, great selection of salads and sauce. Service was great as well very polite and welcoming, Lynne even gave me free haggis on the burger which was unreal. Will be there every time I pass the retail park

Had the turban tandoori, and honestly with the chilli sauce it’s probably the most flavoursome panini I have ever had. Top quality food, impeccable taste, unbelievable good service all in one. Can’t wait for my next trip to Baget stuffed

Fantástico lugar para escaparse del tumulto de festival. súper agradable llevar deli con un pequeño espacio de descanso para el desayuno y el almuerzo. variedad de deliciosos productos de charcutería incluye la gran pan y aún mayores bacon-cured del artesano. This is one of the best places to go if you want fun and play pool,snooker,darts,poker or even table tennis,this place is behind the old post office in Morningside road ,the staff there look after you from start to finish

Edinburgh, a great city. Then at the corner of the university...oops, German bratwurst. Try three of them and find them really good. Very nice operators and the staff go the extra mile. Thanks

Didn't eat but had cocktails and was friendly, not cheap but about going rate for city centre drinks, nice atmosphere. Will go back

I ordered a lamb burger. Very dry cutlet. slightly burnt in places. Arabic music, too loud. I do not advise.

Bell's Diner opened in St. Stephen Street, Stockbridge, Edinburgh in 1974, the same year my wife and I moved into Stockbridge. They served the best burgers I've ever tasted. And no sweetish American-style buns and slobbery 'mayo'. The wine list starts at £21 a bottle. We now live 20 miles away but travelled in to have our final Bell's meal last week as the restaurant will soon be closing down. So, probably too late now for folks to get a table. Sad news indeed.

Too noisy, too small, one of us has a visible disability & we were given the smallest table in the joint. The ‘music’ was far too loud, so all the diners had to shout to each other. The place describes itself as being dog friendly & there was a chance that we’d have had a dog with us but there was no room for a dog of any size to lie down. If we had brought said dog, there’s no way we’d have stayed. I checked out the menu online & nowhere does it say they serve Halal meat. It only says “all meat is halal” on the paper menu in the restaurant. Very disappointed in that, halal killings are very upsetting & the animal suffers for a long time before eventually dying. I don’t support Halal so I won’t be back.

Top class steak restaurant. And Inaki is a gem with his advice, service and humour helping make our dinner into special evening.

Pretty good taste and fair price. I’ve ordered the fried chicken and wings many times and never met any issue.
