Gilos is a hidden gem. Best grilled food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Really friendly staff too. Burgers and Mockmuffins are 2nd to none! Incredible

We ordered the supreme box meal what only cost £5.50!!!! For this you get a huge, absolutely delicious Southern fried chicken with a spicy kick, a tasty fat hashbrown, cheese, lettuce and mayonnaise on a soft batch, fries and 3 massive juicy wings. You can have a different sauce if you ask. Absolutely stuffed after eating! This delivered for free if you call directly. Just eat, and uber eat charge for delivery Fast delivery and delivered hot. Ordered twice and both times very good We dont usually go for chicken takeaway but this is our new favourite Finger crossed they stay consistently good Only downside is the close so early 10.30pm in the week and 11pm weekends

Sadly disappointing. having visited on several occasions this was my birthday treat and not a good experience. I pointed out that me lamb rump steak was partly inedible due to large amount of inedible sinew/tendons not fat (I couldn't make headway with cutting it with a knife due to a large layer of sinew). I pointed this out to the waitress and she offered to get me a replacement. We were half way through our meal so it was inappropriate to start my meal again. I suggested that an adjustment to our bill might be a suitable alternative. Very disappointed that this wasn't done nor any apology or explanation. If it hadn't been my birthday treat maybe I wouldn't have been so pissed off but no, will we return, NO will we recommend ? NO. The racket coming from the group of male 'guests' on a nearby table totally outrageous ,completed the poor experience.

The fish burger was completely burnt but still took nearly 20 minutes to cook the food No improvement in 3 months since the last time i went .never again

If you like steak you have found the right place. We just had the signature dish of featherblade steak with two side dishes, all were cooked to perfection and delicious. We were looked after from booking the table to paying the bill by Joanne who is helpful, friendly and really attentive. We really loved the atmosphere and the music, if we lived in the area we would eat there every week ,great value for money, ten out of ten if you are visiting the Southend area do not miss this Gem.😄 Andrew and Bridget Norwich xx.

Visited this super quirky restaurant whilst visiting family down in beautiful Cornwall for Christmas. This restaurant catered for myself and my family to an excellent standard!! The service was incredible and the food was suuuuper tasty. Already planning on visiting again on my next visit!

Aiden and Dawid served me on the 19th of January and working in hospitality myself I found their customer service skills were second to none! Lovely and approachable thank you so much guys you were great!

Absolutely despicable the way the so called manager ( new one .. again) treats my son who has worked at TGI for over a year . He wasn’t given shifts( because apparently it was quiet) so he decided to find a job which he works with me a few hours a week in the evening. The management has now decided to put him on both Saturday and Sunday , Sunday being a double shift. They did not even approach him regarding this and are now basically saying tough , you either leave the other job or TGIs.. Yes , this is the attitude of new management! Also favouring another employee over my son because she’s got children and she can’t work the hours my son is expected to because of this!! Just wow.. So indirectly discriminating against my son because he’s male and has no children. I’ve seen it all over the year with the way they favour certain staff over others . One particular waitress was travelling right across the city only to be told the shifts cancelled and she will not get paid for it. TGI are breaking all kinds of employment laws , even the fact they know that my son has SEN which was shown to them when he first started , they have never taken this into consideration. Just one big click there and woe betide if you don’t fit the mould . I am seeking employment rights advice because someone has to stick up for the vulnerable.

Claires and Dave’s quiz was the best. The vibes were amazing and drinks were really good too. The wings were amazingly seasoned and tasted amazing

Grolsch was off very cloudy and tasted bad ,not the barmaids fault and she did offer me an alternative just very bad management or useless bar cellarman, management must think people are idiots selling beer that was clearly off thinking people are too stupid to notice,keg beer is so simple to keep so please don't insult my intelligence by telling me you didn't realise,shame nice place just totally useless management

We visited yesterday it was quite quiet but the whole place was in a dirty mess. Pepsi spilt all over the floor, food everywhere, tables filthy and bins over flowing. One of the workers went on a break stepped over all the spilt drink and sat down at table without notifying anyone. No cleaner in sight. Dread to think what the toilets are like. Really going downhill. Also there is nowhere on the order screen to ask for extra Mayo
