Had the absolute pleasure of being served by Charlie during our bottomless brunch at TGI Fridays, and what a star he was! From the moment we sat down, his energy, charm, and cheeky personality made the experience even better. Not only was his service incredibly fast, but he also had brilliant drink recommendations that hit the spot every time. Charlie’s enthusiasm and attentiveness truly made our brunch unforgettable. First time today trying TGI Fridays and I was really excited to try it! The cocktails were amazing however I can’t say the same about the food. I had the steak which I asked for it to come medium rare, it came out medium well… It is very rare that I complain so I carried on eating it however the amount of seasoning that was also on the steak was overbearing. The peppercorn sauce was stone cold and the amount of pepper in it again was overpowering and felt like I had a mouthful of pepper and the chips were cold and inedible so I had paid £28.50 for a steak and a little bit of lettuce… The calamari that I had also ordered said it had salt and pepper seasoning however came out to me absolutely covered in a red spicy seasoning I could only manage a few… I double checked the menu and it did not mention anything about this seasoning. One of the gentleman working there did apologise and did remove my calamari off my bill. I’d suggest only coming here for the cocktails but even then they’re quite pricey I’d avoid this place and go somewhere else. Absolutely devastated. I did wonder why it was so quiet on a Saturday but I think I now know why.

We have been visiting TGI Fridays for years however our experience today was absolutely appalling. We booked a table for 3 for Mothers’ Day expecting it to be busy but we were not prepared for the standard of service we received. First we waited 20 minutes to be seated, where we then ordered our first (and only) round of drinks. 15 minutes later we received 4 of our 5 drinks, most of which spilt as the waitress put them down due to how wobbly our table was. We had already requested to be moved to another table when we were initially sat down , so we pointed this out and asked for our last drink to come. Another 20 minutes later, no one had visited us until one waitress came to take our food order. At this point, we asked to speak to a manager. The manager arrived and asked what the issue was. We explained what had happened so far, as well as pointing out that the mocktail we received was 95% ice - to which he blatantly said that that’s how they’re made and no matter what we order we will not get a better drink. We asked to try a different drink but unfortunately this one arrived no better - we still had not received our fifth drink nor had we been moved to another table. At this point we decided that this wasn’t going to get any better, and my mum was understandably upset with how this special day was going. After a further few heated discussions with the manager, we paid the bill and left. It really is a shame to see how poor the quality of this place has gotten.

I went for the first time to a TGI restaurant 2 years ago with big expectations but because I was so disappointed with the food I never went again until tonight. Because this was the only restaurant near the hotel and also because we had a 20% discount on food I decided to give it a chance to again be extremely disappointed. We’ve been seated as soon as we entered the restaurant and didn’t take long to be served. We’ve ordered nachos which are very far from being good, barely no cheese, instead of guacamole we had bits of avocado and small quantity, also small quantity of sour cream, the tomato sauce tasted like the one from supermarkets and the worst of all instead of fresh chillies we got tinned ones which only tasted like vinegar which completely ruined the whole dish. My husband said it was the worst nachos he ever had and I thought the same. It took us 32 minutes to get the meals, I had the ultimate half rack of ribs for an incredible £24.95 which came with very dry and tasteless corn ribs, coleslaw lacking on sweetness which I barely touched, unbelievable small portion of fries very salty, the only thing that tasted amazing was the ribs. No one came to our table to check if everything was ok, we’ve never at any point were asked if the food was okay. We ended up paying £58.32 with the discount of 20% off food, we would’ve paid £69.75 if it wasn’t for the discount. If we take into account that we had only one starter, two mains and 3 drinks two mocktails for the price of one and a coke, the price is very high for what is served, also a burger that costs almost £20 it’s incredibly pricey. I won’t bother to give another chance at TGI, I’m not the kind of person that finds ok to waist money on poor quality food.

What an awful place to go booked a table but no body asked, drink order taken that was ok except the dirty glass but I drank out of the bottle so no real issue, food order taken and I explained that I had booked the bottomless chicken at that point they became obsessed with downloading the app and telling me I must have a code for the chicken I showed them the email and said that's what I have was told they would give me 5 minutes (not sure what for) they came back and started on about the app again, eventually they asked if I wanted to continue with my order, once the food came 1 of the orders was wrong which to there credit they exchanged with out an issue and the chicken came in reasonable intervals. However there was no ask of additional drinks when we finished there was no opportunity to order a desert and to pay we had to go to the bar to ask for the bill. At which point they started on about the app again and how I should have some code or whatever. The tables where only cleared at random intervals and when you have a steady stream of chicken you would think they would stay on top of this. The only thing that in my opinion saved them from me walking out was the bar man who was very polite and helpful, in addition to the food actually tasted quite nice

Went tonight for a birthday meal, 6 in our party, had a bit of a wait for drinks and food. The manager was fantastic, directing staff to our table, really enjoyed the ribs and the smashed burgers also good gluten free advice given to my granddaughter by the manager. Had the bottomless wings and sesame chicken. Absolutely delicious, everything came out piping hot. Charlie who was serving us from start went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well looked after. He helped us use the app and we didn’t have to ask for a refill on our drinks even once. He always kept an eye on our table and made sure we were taken care of.

Went earlier today and experienced some of the best customer service ever!! Charlie was the star of the show!!!! I didn’t have to ask for a refill even once. As soon as my glass was empty he’d fill it up. He helped us navigate the app and gave us recommendations on food. Made us feel really special to the end. Bonus points for the extra clean toilets!! Thanks, we’ll be back soon.

Pre booked for a special family event 13 guests Started well, orders taken and drinks arrived, food took a while but was expected due to 13 of us , but 11 meals came out after a long wait one more arrived which was cold and bag of fries was packed with burnt ones at the bottom with a few better ones on top , chicken tenders were cold and no sauce , when asked where the last meal was , was told it was on its way but half the guests had finished or almost finished their meals by the.time it arrived , 3 other meals were sub standard and the prices did not reflect the standard of the food served. The waitress did apologise and offered to refund some of the bill , the manager was rude and dismissive and didn’t seem interested in the fact our evening had been ruined , very disappointed certainly wouldn’t go again or recommend to anyone in the future.

Absolutely despicable the way the so called manager ( new one .. again) treats my son who has worked at TGI for over a year . He wasn’t given shifts( because apparently it was quiet) so he decided to find a job which he works with me a few hours a week in the evening. The management has now decided to put him on both Saturday and Sunday , Sunday being a double shift. They did not even approach him regarding this and are now basically saying tough , you either leave the other job or TGIs.. Yes , this is the attitude of new management! Also favouring another employee over my son because she’s got children and she can’t work the hours my son is expected to because of this!! Just wow.. So indirectly discriminating against my son because he’s male and has no children. I’ve seen it all over the year with the way they favour certain staff over others . One particular waitress was travelling right across the city only to be told the shifts cancelled and she will not get paid for it. TGI are breaking all kinds of employment laws , even the fact they know that my son has SEN which was shown to them when he first started , they have never taken this into consideration. Just one big click there and woe betide if you don’t fit the mould . I am seeking employment rights advice because someone has to stick up for the vulnerable.

Booked for Valentines day, arrived on time at around 7pm to be seated quickly, waited 15 minutes and no one came anywhere near us in the time, lady then approached and asked if we would like to order food? i politely asked if we could first grab a drink which she said oh sorry didn't realise you didn't have one. Our starters came to our table 45 minutes later and they were both cold so we send them back, they were brought back out to us and they had just been microwaved so the cheese had burnt on the potato skins so we asked for them to be sent back. Our mains were strange, my full rack of ribs had no honey glaze on them at all (picture if needed) and when asking for the bill the server said yes sure, 10 minutes later she came back and asked us if we were waiting for the bill??? having the bill Infront of me, I noticed the one starter hadn't been taken off so she decided to go and get this done but in the meantime she was more busy sorting out another tables bill to even deal with us. All in all a very poor meal and this was meant to be a nice time for my Partner for Valentines bur this was let down by the mediocre food, poor and slow service and the freezing cold restaurant, everyone around me had their coats on?? I wouldn't recommend this place at all, please check other reviews before spending a lot of money on poor food

Disappointed, service is fantastic, meals are very small now I had a chicken burger the chicken was tiny and burnt, the portion of fries is tiny and extra tiny fries will set you back £5.00. Toilet has no toilet paper had to ask, they had not been checked in a while. Toilet was broken urinal broken, it’s just run down. Family of 5 adults 2 children for a main meal and a few side with drinks and deserts set us back £250. Cost of living what a joke of a price left feeling hungry! I know the chain is struggling but don’t think I will be going back for average small portions costing extortionate money!

What an absolute disappointment!! At age 45 I'd never been to a TGI so we went for a meal. As it was Valentine's Day it was understandably busy and it took 50mins to get our food which although frustrating, we were ok with, albeit hungry. We both decided to have the ultimate American grill at just shy of £40 each. The food was less than mediocre. The chicken wings were so dessucrated that even the steak knife wouldn't break into them. The grilled chicken was dry and beyond edible. One steak was good, the other I'm not too sure what happened! I had to ask for the salad/corn on the cob/slaw that was due to come with it as it never came. This was lovely but would have been nice to come at the same time rather than 15mins afterwards. The only saving grace from our meal was the lovely server which unfortunately I didn't get her name but we certainly tipped her well. She is the only reason I've given two stars. Would I go again, omg no!!! Super expensive for really bad food.

Great tasting food! Unfortunately, that was the only great thing about the experience. Still had starters plates on table when we finished. Over an hour wait for mains on a not particularly busy day. Extremely expensive for what it is. Average price was £20 for burger and chips. South facing window overlooking the biggest table in the restaurant forcing 6 guests to wear sunglasses throughout the whole experience. There’s a really nice pub/restaurant across the road. Less than half the price, better and quicker service and no shades required 😎

The place was absolutely freezing! Aparantly the heating did not work, yet they like to keep the doors open to let all the cold air in when people come in and out! Yes cold, it’s about 2 degrees outside! The loaded potato skins hardly had any cheese or bacon in them, they must have been running short of cheese and bacon. We ordered the chicken burger, and we were not aware that the “glaze” is really a relish, so this had to go back. The waitress said that it will be 10 minutes before a new one came so asked if we wanted some fries in the time. We said yes, and when the meal came back, it came without fries 🤷🏻♂️ Would have stayed for a desert, but we were just too cold, so had to lay the bill of around £137. Not the best experience, won’t be returning, and certainly wasn’t worth travelling 30 miles for.

Got to the restaurant on the 10/11/24. Was driving back home after a busy weekend and decided to stop for food. Diverted off the route specifically to go to TGI. Stood around in the foyer for around 10 minutes. Finally got asked to sit at the bar as the table was getting cleaned. Got to the bar and ordered some drinks. At a push there were about 5 tables with people in the restaurant and tens of empty tables to choose from. 10 mins later sat at the table, got given the menus. Waited another 15 mins before the order was taken. When ordering food we got told they did not have some items we wanted, which would have been good to mention when giving us the menus. Never mind, ordered something else. Also, not sure how exactly the table was getting cleaned and what were waiting for because between the 3 of us we only had 1 fork. Likely meaning that the table was not cleaned from the previous party. Fast forward very painful 40-50 mins food started to arrive. 2 main dishes my friends ordered were fine. My food, however…. Wow. I mean, I go to TGIs VERY often and order a delivery even more often. When I say I had better food arriving on the back of the moped in the middle of winter - I mean it. Ordered maple glazed corn ribs, boneless hot wings + chips. All to arrive at the same time. Pork ribs arrived, asked politely to swap it to what I ordered (the waitress did repeat the order back and she did repeat corn ribs back not pork so not sure what went wrong there). All well and good, this got taken away. Wings arrived. The blue cheese sauce was covered with some weird film (almost curdled on top) and genuinely felt that it was just stood under the lamps for a good while. Chips never arrived. Asked where they were and got told that they were going to be here in a minute as they were “just plating them up”. Another 5 minute passes and “corn ribs” arrive. Picture 8 or so pieces of steamed corn with absolutely nothing on it. No sauce, nothing just steamed plain corn. At this point, still with no chips, I asked for a manager. In the meantime chips arrived. Absolutely inedible with so much salt on it that it could give you instant hypertension. Manager arrived. I explained that it’s been a very poor experience and she asked me what I wanted to do and offered to fry a fresh portion of chips. Considering we still had another 2 hr drive to go and these took over an hour to come out - I politely refused. Corn also came back, same pieces as before but this time garnished with things that are stated on the menu. Manager couldn’t really explain what took so long or why the food was such a terrible quality but said she’d go and have a look “what could be done about it” and promised to come back with the bill. Ok, waited another 5-10 mins no sign of manager. Asked the waitress to bring us the bill. The manager did take all of my items off the bill in the end. Overall really poor experience, guys. Like I said before I go to TGIs often and I know what to expect food wise. Don’t come to not pay. I want to pay but I also want decent food that arrives in reasonable time. All in all around 1.5hrs of time wasted on a long journey home.

The flamboyant guy at reception was excellent, our server polite and courteous. BUT, considering how many people were actually there eating (9 tables max), the food took a while, and there was very little food for a multi cultural family like ours, who only eat Halal, Fish or Veggie. It's near Leicester, Coventry and Birmingham (where we drove from), so a no brainer to have Halal options? The interior looked tired, music way too loud (needs a quiet zone for smaller kids and people that wanna talk) and the table felt sticky like it hadn't been cleaned properly, cutlery seemed like it had seen better days. I used to love Fridays and have eaten at loads. This seems like it needs a revamp and some more staff like the dude on the door...

Waited a while to be seated, was a few groups all waiting and restaurant wasn't busy. Services was really slow, like we was forgotten about. Food was only so, so and for what your paying you'd like a little bit more. No wonder TGI's are in a bit if trouble. Real shame as never had issues before with any TGI's

Visited here as u can't go wrong with a Tgi but it was not the experience we wanted. The food was awful, waitress was lovely and bubbly but overall felt ripped off. And they don't do cheese sauce anymore!!!!

Lee the tall handsome barmen, served me with exceptional talent, manors and looks, he is an amazing member of staff and in my opinion should be recognised for what he delivers. Great guy, professional guy with more than an outstanding attitude towards customer service. He, alone, encourages me to return and spread the word, what a guy!!

Grolsch was off very cloudy and tasted bad ,not the barmaids fault and she did offer me an alternative just very bad management or useless bar cellarman, management must think people are idiots selling beer that was clearly off thinking people are too stupid to notice,keg beer is so simple to keep so please don't insult my intelligence by telling me you didn't realise,shame nice place just totally useless management
