A little expensive but excellent food.

Revisited the restaurant yesterday for Sunday Lunch. This was our second time there after a disappointing first visit, which we had put down to `teething problems`as the restaurant had only recently opened. There was a very dirty water glass on our table as we arrived and we had to ask for this to be changed. Our starter was not as advertised and came with Brioche, rather than the Sourdough - this was a disappointment, particularly as the Brioche was too delicate for the dish and compeltely fell apart when the Parfait was applied. The two roast beef mains were delivered on small, cold plates and the food itself was lukewarm at best. Chef, DJ, actually spent more time in the restaurant than he did in the kitchen for the time we were there, marching about berating members of staff, swearing under his breath and taking on the job of clearing and wiping down tables whilst the team looked on. At no point did he take the trouble to engage with Customers or stop to ask anyone how their food was. To cap things off, we had booked using a 20% discount code which had been emailed to us (presumably to tempt Customers into the restaurant at what is, inevitably, a very quiet time of year). When the bill arrived, the discount had not been applied and we had to ask for this to be done. It`s sad after so much optimism on our part when we read about the restaurant`s launch last year, but I think yesterday`s visit will be our last :-(

Second time visiting but first for Sunday lunch. The best Sunday lunch around! Food plentiful and everything tastes of what it should. This chef knows food. Front of house efficient but friendly. All members of the party enjoyed it. Booking advisable as only small but guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Used this venue for the first time with family members for a birthday celebration. The ordering process online was easy, being able to choose a time was convenient and when I went to collect the food I was warmly greeted and the food ready. This was quite a large order and everyone was happy with their food and would definitely recommend and use again. The only suggestion I would make to the online ordering system is to introduce functionality to advise delivery charges (based on post code) so an informed decision whether to deliver or collect can be made before going through the order process.

Ordered 2x sirloin and 1x ribeye. As opposed to other reviews demonstrating thick cut medium-rare steaks unfortunately this time around the cuts were very thin, almost like cheese burgers, not juicy, cooked to utter dryness. Sorry but imo worse than the steak I cook from store-bought 2 for 1 Aldi Sirloin's.

On entering, the decor and seating looked lovely. The steak was very rubbery, and was difficult to chew even though we had asked for it to be well done. A disappointment for a steak house! The fish and chicken dishes were well presented and tasted fine. At the end of our meal, we felt we were rushed to leave which wasn’t very nice as they weren’t even that busy.

Ordered a caesar wrap and had a massive long black hair in it... I'm blonde so definitely wasn't mine. Absolutely disgusting

When first open, the owners were spending more time and the food and service was best in Business... since last year new staff has come, food is just slap dash and who talk and treat customer in a very rude manner.. take it or leave attitude with a scary and threatening tone of voice (I hate it when the one with the beard at the front throws the food at you when picking up the takeaway).. I think the owners need to come back in and take control of Mr Joes Blackburn.

Worst place ever! Staff service terrible whilst ordering through drive through they had no manners we were then asked to park up and Waited 20 minutes on the car park for them to bring it us went inside to see where it was and they hadn’t even processed the order the staff where incredibly rude and it is not worth your time!

Cold food!!! Waited ages!!! We never learn, as we’ve been here before…….always the same. Maybe the worst McDonalds we’ve used!!!!
