The best restaurants in Wales

Really lovely lunch during my first visit here. It was a hot day and my four month old was particularly grumpy. A staff member gave me a jug of water with ice to cool down his bottle quicker when he was hungrier sooner than I'd anticipated. The tea room is so beautifully decorated. It has a cottage core vibe and is just so pretty. They sell hot and cold drinks, ice cream, cakes, scones and hot and cold food. I had the cheese and onion melt, which was divine. I also bought a piece of cake to take home - it was hard to choose between the cakes on offer, as they all looked so good. Great, friendly staff and good food with decent portion sizes. We didn't look in the shop but I plan to go back soon for lunch, so will have a look then. Also there are toilets outside with baby changing facilities.

Ideal for refreshments after a small funeral (20-25 people) - in the conservatory area, A very good selection of sandwiches, and hot buffet of sausage rolls, quiche, pizza and an Indian platter. Tea and coffee was ready when we arrived and the buffet laid out shortly afterwards. Mark was attentive throughout, taking drinks orders and checking we had everything we needed. Excellent service !

Quality boss man place ! Order 2 burgers and chips and both were spot on £15 good price also and was very filling , easy to find and can park outs, Would definitely recommend if in Conwy will definitely go there again

I surprisingly havent been here before, even though it’s in my home town but I stopped off recently and had a great experience. Staff were lovely. Will definitely visit again soon.

Best Chinese I’ve had! I have not had Chinese in a while but for my brother birthday we decided to get a Chinese takeaway.Although the wait was long it was definitely worth it, would recommend salt and pepper chicken

No food being served. Asked barman if they were serving food,he said that he didn't know!!!!! Half pub unlit. Tv in bar on with sound blaring. Customers shouting at each other not chatting. People came in for food,and left immediately when told no food service. Tables full of debris,and dirty glasses. All in all,a very unhappy experience. Had one drink,and left for "The Fox and Hounds." Where we had a great time.

Mi marido y yo asistimos al café gratis que se celebró recientemente en el Cockett. Tengo que decir que tuvimos una mañana encantadora, todos fueron tan amables y acogedores y fue encantador conocer a otros miembros de la comunidad también🙂 esto se debe a que nuestro pub local y nosotros venimos regularmente a tomar unas copas cuando en nuestra tarde paseamos perros🦮

We loved the food from here and it was absolutely rammed with customers when I was in, that should tell you all you need to know. Don't let the appearance put you off you don't eat what the building looks like, you won't be disappointed

Hidden gem. Excellent fresh food presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed a baguette meal deal and a brownie. The brownie melted in my mouth and the flavour - wow! Highly recommended for locals and visitors especially as they do pre-match food.

On arrival our table had to be cleared and set up which wasn't the best way to start. Once we had ordered our food we then had over an hour's wait. By the time it arrived we didn't feel that hungry. The salmon came with new potatoes, however, these were black in places, warmed up and inedible...my friend's steak was a combination of medium rare and over done! Think the problem stemmed from the fact there had been a 40th birthday party earlier and the two staff were struggling to cope with everything. If we had been informed of the large group, we would have rebooked. Not a great experience and probably won't be returning.

Fantastic Chinese takeaway. The food is all cooked fresh,large portions,tasty and hot,compared to others very well priced. Cannot fault this takeaway in any shape or form, very busy indeed,so probably best to pre order. Should you be in the area I highly recomend. Plenty of parking right next to the place itself.

Great food good service surprised me with the quality of the steaks we had my wife said the best stake she has had in a long time

Pub itself is in a nice location, but looking a little tired. Food was average, but the evening spoiled by very unhelpful and rude staff

Ordered two mixed kebabs whilst on holiday in North Wales. This was the BEST kebab we’ve ever had from a takeaway. The lamb was chunky and really flavoursome. The portion was generous and the price was reasonable. We’d drive 3.5 hours just to eat this kebab again! Haha

We know our crab sandwiches - and these are amongst the best. Amazing fresh crab and a seaweed butter. Also great coffee. Highly recommend ordering because there's a high risk of disappointment otherwise - and you really will have missed out. Shop has their gin to taste with some great local botanicals. Beach is stunning to take your sandwiches, and suck in the sea air.
