Had Sunday lunch here. Frankly it was sublime. Freshly cooked using quality ingredients, generous portions and very good value in very nice surroundings. Service was really good and attentive and came with a warm welcome. We had a pudding between us as couldn't manage one each. Delicious rhubarb and apple crumble and custard again freshly cooked. Good selection of beers and wines and good value. Sadly don't live locally or would be here every Sunday!

We arrived 2ish. The menu was very extensive. Great choice and good wine. The gentleman who served us was a bit abrupt and gave the impression of being a bit annoyed. I apologise if this is the wrong impression. He didn't do chit-chat and was quite straight! The place was really cold even though it's mid-August! Why not use the log burner? It could be really cosy. The food was nice. However, the meat in the pie was very chewy (not good quality), and the salmon was dry. Overall, it was good. Would we call again? I don't think so.

We have been visiting The Drover's for around 25 years. As a full Family initially, now just the two of us. Peter and his Team never disappoint. The welcome is always friendly and we do enjoy a modest pre Lunch drink in the cosy snug out the back. The views of the river are spectacular. It was a bit chilly to be sitting outside on the balcony but one brave chap did take his coffee out there! The food, well, you can't call it 'just Sunday Lunch! It's a foodie treat! Plenty of beautifully cooked food. Always hot and tasty. The quality is certainly there as well. Cannot fault anything and the Sweets are to die for! The atmosphere is invariably pleasant. A good mixture of Walkers, Holiday makers and Locals. Thanks so much for everything over the years Peter. We're already in the process of booking next year's trip to Wales, so keep an eye out for an email soon!

Lovely Irish landlady was extremely accommodating to me & my two boys.. Service was how service used to be before the big pub chains took over everything… Food was brilliant.. Had to have the bread pudding as haven’t had it since I was a kid.. took me right back! Definitely recommend and will return 👌🏼

Good service. Honestly the food was overpriced and overwhelmingly below average. ordered the pork belly and only half of it came and was incredibly chew . No staff about to tell them about it . Drink are good though only good thing about my meal . EDIT: After returning about 6 months later everything was so much better honestly seemed like a different restaurant. The food was really nice this time I had the fajitas under the recommendation of someone else guess the last time I visited we must have just come at a bad time.

What a fantastic find. A warm welcome given by all.of the staff and customers of this community run pub. We stayed for a weekend, and had the best hospitality. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. The room we stayed in was clean and homely. We will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely visit.

If you want tasty and plentiful home cooked pub grub then you cannot go far wrong with The Carpenters Arms. You get the warmest welcome, well kept beer, lovely wine and a feeling that the owners really do care about your whole experience with them. Nothing is too much trouble. We ate twice here and they even offered to cook something on Sunday evening when they are normally closed. (We declined but made sure we came back again.) The fish pie is stunning and the quantity of quality tasty meat in the steak and game pies is more than generous. Tuesday's pie and pint night was amazing value. Puddings are delicious too. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. We would not hesitate to return or recommend.

What a find! This fabulous find is just off the High Street. The food was delicious and all sourced locally. Two of us had the mozzarella and roasted veg jacket potato and the other had the goats cheese and roasted veg panini. The roasted veg was exquisite especially the mushrooms.Ran by a mother and daughter duo, whose sense of humour was refreshing and nothing was too much trouble. Even when one of our party asked for a glass of white wine, the owner popped to the shop to buy a very nice bottle of white. We were made to feel very welcome and would love to return to sample the afternoon tea.Thank you for a lovely experience and afternoon!

On a recent visit to Barmouth we found this little Gem of a place that is open on Sundays. There was a special board out side and it was the Cheese and Onion pie that drew us in . Both my husband and me had this and it came with new potatoes and salad . It was delicious and very reasonably priced . We were naughty and were too tempted by the delicious homemade sweets and puds they had to offer . I had the jam and coconut cake and my husband opted for the apple pie. They were presented lovely with fruit and a pot of cream on the side. The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Barmouth
