Maltsters Whitchurch in Cardiff

Really good local pub which we have started using as it has a really nice atmosphere and good beer at reasonable prices not like the ridiculously overpriced plough, the staff are all very friendly also good for sports coverage, we all had good afternoon and evening here 🍺🍺🍺🍷🍷🍷

Fantastic local pub, asset to the village of Whitchurch. Great atmosphere with welcoming and helpful staff and a fab range of drinks.

Called into the Malsters recently for a few drinks ….the main lounge was shut due to a private function so we sat in the front bar. I would say this was a proper old fashioned pub like the old days! No music or fancy gimmicks. Just a good old fashioned bar when you can sit and chat. We noticed chairs and tables outside with nice flowers etc but it was a bit too cold for us ! A nice addition to Whitchurch village.

Friendly people working there .you get a good pint .good atmosphere, if you want a quiet drink with your partner or you want to watch the football with your mates ,there are blackboards around the pub letting you know when they are showing football.

Food and portion size totally unacceptable .

Very quiet but it was Monday it probably gets quite busy later in the week. Shows sport on tv, I thought the wine a bit pricey at £6.10 for a medium glass of Sauvignon Blanc and I don't know if they do food.

Had another fab night here again lovely atmosphere staff and regulars lovely had a good laugh Shall be taking friends there again

Possibly the best pub lunch my wife and I have ever had. Better bruschetta than most Italian restaurants, and the chilli was outstanding. My wife's steak was also excellent. Will be in contact with you to arrange my 80th Birthday later in the year for approximately 30 guests.

I simply love this place, cosy with always a great atmosphere. The staff are really polite and Collin the owner always takes time out of his busy day to have a conversation with myself & partner to see how we are doing. Will definitely recommend to others.

The Maltsters Arms in Whitchurch, Cardiff has long been a comunity pub, offering a wide selection of beers and activites. It is an excellent meeting place and a magnet for Sports watchers and music. May the traditional values and warm welcomes long continue.

Amazing little pub with the bar, lounge and beer gardens for when the sun is shinning, the range of alcohol is awesome, even got the au vodka which is my fav and not many pubs have it, lovely friendly staff very welcoming and helpful, dog friendly, very clean. Great for sport. and a lot the family drink there,only one big moan my wife drove us and wanted a glass of water with a shot of cordial and they wanted to charge us £1.80 for a shot of black current juice ?????????????????????????

The best local not only in Whitchurch, but all of Cardiff. Wonderful bar staff and owner, who are always welcoming and willing to have a chat with you. Great regulars also give it a familial feel where you always feel welcome. A great selection of live sports shown (BT and sky) is the icing on top.

This pub has such a great atmosphere. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for the landlords. We have held many family events here and would highly recommend this pub not just for its village location and prices but the service and hospitality is second to none! Also dog and child friendly!

Can I just say this is by far the best pub in the village.The friendly staff and all the locals make this pub a place that you want to visit again and again. The Malsters Arms is managed by Colin who happens to be very well respected by his team.

It's a good pub,I play skittles there a few times a season. It also does meals.

Best Pub in the Village. Always a warm welcome from the staff and management. Even my dog loves it in there and he always gets a fuss off the team too. Nice relaxed atmosphere making it a brilliant local pub.

We had an overnight stay and from the moment we got there, which was before check in time Greg and his team were so lovely, nothing was too much trouble and they made you feel right at home, we had breakfast in the morning, service was great and the food was amazing. This pub is my go-to to meet friends and family. We watch sports here most Saturday afternoons. The staff are great and can't do enough for their customers. Would highly recommend. Also they have an outside seating area and a skittle alley.

Quiet and not much going on at all for a Saturday night

Stoped in on a works night out for a drink staff were lovely great local, also called in Saturday evening and ended up singing on the karaoke what a lovely pub landlord is ok as well lol
