Excellent meal ,fish n chips and sausage n chips both ordered both excellent ,freshly made and a really cheap price ,will defo return

Went here for a change for fish and chips and asked the waitress if the fish was COD as I don't eat haddock and she said yes, when it arrived on the plate cut it open and it was grey and a very strong taste 110% certain is was not COD, the chips were not god as well, the best thing was the pot of tea, on the way home had to go for a Chinese take away, a total waste of money NEVER AGAIN.

Lovely fish and chips and great value in the restaurant for the special. Staff were lovely too. Only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because I’m from Yorkshire and there’s no fish and chips like The Magpie in Whitby or Skyliner in Leeds!

Great fish and chips...Good banter with staff about being mentioned In the times newspaper. But most of all piping hot cheap as chips and delicious. Best I've had in ages. Will go back before end of the holiday.

I want to listen metres and I asked for chicken and chips I'm gravy and bread and butter and a pot tea. the chips just melt in your mouth the food was lovely I've never tasted chips like them. it is always very clean and staff are very helpful and they're very hard working. we'll never get a chip shop like this if it ever went. First impressions weren't great. The waitress pointed us to a table at the back which still had the previous customers plates on it. We expected her to return to clear the table but she didn't. There wasn't even a menu for us to look at. We made eye contact with the waitress several times but she remained at the other end of the restaurant and ignored us. Thankfully another waitress came to serve the table next to us and noticed our plight. She was lovely and apologetic. She cleared the table and gave us menus and got the original waitress to come and take our order. Sadly she went from ignoring us to giving us about 20 seconds to read the menu. Anyway I had the mini fish, chips and peas and it was delicious. Fish perfectly cooked, the mushy peas were the best I have tasted for a long time. This chips were fine, not the best I've had but pretty good. The rest of the family had sausage and chips and they all enjoyed it. Very reasonably priced. They just need to sort out the young waitress.

Visited on a day trip to Rhyl after reading reviews , the fish and chips special must be one of the best value meals anywhere. Fish, chips,mushy peas, pot of tea cooked to order and delicious with waitress service and spotless toilets £7.50 Fantastic.

If you are desperate and broke , and you will be for you have found yourself a. in Rhyl and b. hungry - then you could do far worse than try Les and Rita's - this must be the least cost Chish and Fips in the UK - unless of course you know different - never mind the kid's asking why the fish is a funny grey colour and the chips are like Farm Foods oven rejects , soak up the value for money ! And yes , the Peas are excellent as are the friendly staff and clientele -

I have been eating fish & chips from Les & Ritas since the bank on the corner had 40 staff and was called Midland Bank! Without exception the quality had always been of a very high standard and I would have recommended them to anybody. However, today the chips tasted slightly burnt and were tasteless - not far off from being like 'oven chips'. The peas and baked beans were dry as if they had been standing on the heat for a long time. The quality of the fish and batter was good. This was disappointing, but hopefully was a one off - we all have off days!

Called in today for 2 mini fish, chips and peas to take away. The chips, fish and peas were cooked to perfection. The only criticism I have is the size of the mini fish portions, it was mediocre! The cost was £12.60 for the 2 and was a disappointment compared to previous visits.

We used tripadvisor to find a well regarded fish and chip shop in Rhyl on our way along the North Coast of Wales. We found disabled parking nearby, but it was the first time on our holiday that we had to pay when using a blue badge. It was exactly what we wanted: fish and chips at a reasonable price where we could sit in. We even took away the extra chips we didn't eat!

Went on Thursday evening and managed to get a parking space outside . There was a lot of people waiting outside but the queue went down very quickly. We would have sat inside but we were to late as they close at 7 .There staff were all very friendly and the place was spotless. The fish and chips were second to none and were a very reasonable price . Well worth the drive from rhos on sea . Would make this my go to chippy

After seeing this chippy making a list giving it the title of 2nd best chippy in the country, we had to try whilst staying in Rhyl. So when passing through the town centre on our way back from a day trip to Llandudno we stopped off for dinner later afternoon. From the outside (and the inside really), it doesn't look like much. Just your usual chippy but with inside seating. It was quiet when we arrived with plenty of free tables and we were greeted by friendly staff almost immediately. The menu is fairly small however has the staples and it seemed like items were made to order as nothing was sat under the heat lamps. My partner went for fish, chips and mushy peas whilst I had fishcake and chips. After a short wait our food was delivered to our table, portion sizes were decent and it was a genuinely really nice meal. The chips were lovely, fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. We both enjoyed our fish and my partner commented on how nice the batter was. It was really good value too, we paid about £14 for two filling meals and drinks each. I only wish this chippy was closer so I could visit again! If you're planning on fish and chips in Rhyl then you really do have to come here.

Always come here but lately the portions have been going smaller but the price going larger. Do expect things to increase in price the way things are but your getting less for your money now food wise. Ordered adult meals but were mire like a kids size portioned. Was hungry again not long after. Service was very quick and meals came fairly quick. But if really hungry may go elsewhere in future as get more for your money.

Best chippy I’ve had to date. We came in as a family of five, managed to get a large booth. Plenty of room. My husband was going to go up and order and we was then informed it was in fact table service. Which doesn’t usually happen in chip shops. The place was clean. Only downfall was the toilet was out of use, I’m not sure if they’re broken or they don’t want people coming in to just use toilet. (If this is the case, maybe pop a key lock on the doors and keep key behind the counter for customer only usage) The gravy was really nice, chips were incredibly tasty. The fish was chunky, crispy and not at all stodgy. Really lovely meal. We all practically polished off our plates and that’s a rarity with my children. 🤣 My husband enjoyed his steak pie. My eldest lad had a chicken burger and he was impressed also. Highly recommend! One last mention to the staff, incredibly friendly, super happy and make you feel very welcome.

Amazing fish and chips. Staff really friendly and great with the kids. This place was amazing. We seen online it was voted second best in the country so couldn’t give it a miss while in the area. Fish was perfect along with every thing else. Curry sauce and gravy were also really good. Place was busy so don’t be surprised if you have to queue for a small amount of time. Will definitely return when back in this area.

We were visiting Rhyl anyway and happened to see this chip shop in the Sunday Tines list of best chippies in the country so we decided to have a take away. The fish was lovely and no skin which for me is always a sign of quality. Chips were a little greasy for my liking. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is undoubtedly the best chippie in Rhyl but not sure it’s the best in the UK though. Worth a visit however. Just one criticism. In this day and age with climate change we all need to do our bit so it was desperately disappointing to get served in a polystyrene container and with a plastic chip fork. Loads of other places have converted to cardboard/wood. I really hope you do so as well.

My husband read that this chippy was the 2nd best in the country so we took a ride out to find it. It didn’t disappoint, the staff were friendly and very helpful and the fish and chips were definitely some of the best we have had. We didn’t eat in we took them by the sea and when we told the staff where we were going they gave us forks and napkins without asking for them. Will definitely be going again.

Staff were not rude but very unbothered and pretty unfriendly. Portion size just about ok, fish quite nice. Chips greasy and underwhelming. Although salt and vinegar requested, couldn’t taste or see any evidence of any, so don’t think it was added. Really disappointing all round.

Came to visit Rhyl and googled places to eat. Les and Rita's had good reviews and was a short walk from where we were staying. We came on Saturday 4th January about 4pm and were thrilled. The food was amazing. Loved the fact that they brought the drinks and our bread out straight away, as it gave the children something to have while we waited. Portion sizes were good but not over-facing. We were so happy and, the only down side was, we wish they had been open on the Sunday, as we would definitely have gone back the next day. It was also nice to be acknowledged for our children's good behaviour, by the lady behind the counter, who was cheerful and lovely to talk to. We will be back! :-)

Visited my usual chippy.les and Rita's yesterday with my sister had the cod special.even though it was busy our food was delivered quickly.the fish was fresh and the batter was crispy the chips were hot and a generous portion.we were served by Debbie who is always friendly as are all the staff.no wonder it's been our weekly treat for over 20 years

Couldn't get a table to sit down, such is the apparent popularity of this place, so we enjoyed a takeaway in the car. Not bad at all, but not great either.
