The best restaurants in St. Clears Carmarthenshire West Wales

Steak night. Cooked to medium rare perfection. Personally I would've liked more seasoning but the Surf'n'turf stole the whole show. Back-end rooms have an abysmal view but a non-issue for me.

Reserved a table for Sunday lunchtime. Quickly shown our table, The pub was quite busy, we were all made to feel welcome, We ordered a variety of meals across the menu, all meals arrived quickly, all hot and tasty There was an error with the ordering of one meal, not a problem at all for the lady serving us (manager I believe) within minutes the missing meal was brought to the table. All in all an excellent experience and would recommend to anyone and will definitely call in again when in the area

If you are in the area, just DO NOT THINK OF STOPPING at the Forge. The prices are HIGH and the food is diabolical. The big “turn off” was when I arrived at 13.00 the approx. 80 seater restaurant was empty. Where on earth the chef came from does not contemplate thinking about Do yourself a favour PASS and save yourself a lot of money.

Myself and my partner attended as a walk in for breakfast, we were shown to pur table by a very pleasant lady on reception, we were then attended to by a very cheery pleasant male waiter, who gave us clean menus, took our orders and then served our food, we both had full English breakfasts, due to my husbands dietary requirements, we had to remove some items from the breakfast (we do this alot it's not place specific) and as a result the waiter offered us extras of the other items on the plate to make up of the items my husband doesn't like, I'm very pleased with how spectacular the food tasted, and how it was presented. Thank you.

Tonight had treat of fish and chips sat up in bed 2 in morning after being sick, headache feeling sick and taste the old oil of my fish . Never again .

Ordered a beautiful cake to help celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. Jemma was extremely helpful in my making a decision from the overwhelming number of ideas and ingredients available. As my mother is a diabetic I decided on a two tier cake with fresh berries. Jemma made the top tier with diabetic ingredients so everyone at the party could enjoy. It was scrumptious and three days later gone!! Thank you Jemma. Terrific cake. If anyone is looking for that special celebratory cake, I can’t recommend Got Cake enough!!

Just had 2 pancake spring rolls which were basically full of oily salty bean sprouts with about 3 pieces of meat tasteless and bland

Visited today. Quick, efficient service. The man serving me was friendly, happy and helpful. Caramel latte was perfect and I was persuaded to try the chocolate twist and it was delicious. The store was clean and I noticed staff cleaning the tables when people left. I've been before but only though the drive through and will definitely call in store more often now.
