The best restaurants in St. Clears Carmarthenshire West Wales

The burgers were huge, a little overcooked but tasty. The lighting arrangement in the restaurant needs re assessing, especially when doing the quiz night. The staff are great and are always welcoming and friendly.

Where to start .... after a 45 minute drive as back few years ago the food was amazing went this evening the food was not good the chef firstly needs to learn how to use his seasoning garlic mushrooms had no taste just tasted of butter an cream ... an mains well we'll start with the steak over done pepper sauce tasted of gravy with pepper corns thrown in ...an then to say a lasagne is homemade when its clearly come out of your microwave honestly incredibly disappointed 😞 only given it two stars as your front of house staff couldn't do more but can honestly say this place has honestly let its standards drop .....

I’ve been here many of times now and the food is always outstanding, tonight I attended with my friend and our 2 Children who had their first ever little date (they are 5), all the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect even when they was extra busy this evening! They put the kids name on their table with a rose, Harry was the chef tonight and he couldn’t have cooked the food any better everything was absolutely perfect and very tasty😍.

Great to find genuine gluten free food. Very generous portions of Cod and Chips and good quality. A regular portion of chips would be for 2 to 3 people Friendly, helpful service.

If you are in the area, just DO NOT THINK OF STOPPING at the Forge. The prices are HIGH and the food is diabolical. The big “turn off” was when I arrived at 13.00 the approx. 80 seater restaurant was empty. Where on earth the chef came from does not contemplate thinking about Do yourself a favour PASS and save yourself a lot of money.

Ordered a beautiful cake to help celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. Jemma was extremely helpful in my making a decision from the overwhelming number of ideas and ingredients available. As my mother is a diabetic I decided on a two tier cake with fresh berries. Jemma made the top tier with diabetic ingredients so everyone at the party could enjoy. It was scrumptious and three days later gone!! Thank you Jemma. Terrific cake. If anyone is looking for that special celebratory cake, I can’t recommend Got Cake enough!!

Wish we'd read the reviews before ordering! We had to throw most of our meals away. Meat was chewy and somehow it was luke warm even though the noodles were hot.

Stopped to buy mcflurrys ordered a plain and a biscoff went to pay and they had put oreo instead which the cashier rectified. Went to collect and were given an oreo one. Explained asked for biscoff to be told had to pay extra.. we told them cashier had sorted it for us. Manager was aggressive saying we had changed our order which simply wasn't true. There followed a stand off... the shift manager Nicolle Thomas accused us of shouting at the staff which was incorrect we only Explained what had happened. The lad serving was rude too but the manager was way out of order. I asked her to check the recordings to see what we ordered as she accused us of changing our order ! Very rude woman !! First negative experience here !

Visited today. Quick, efficient service. The man serving me was friendly, happy and helpful. Caramel latte was perfect and I was persuaded to try the chocolate twist and it was delicious. The store was clean and I noticed staff cleaning the tables when people left. I've been before but only though the drive through and will definitely call in store more often now.
