Savoy Country Inn in Carmarthenshire

Highly recommend This is my 2nd review of the savoy country inn Since my last review the establishment has undergone renovations and upgrades. The new management are really enthusiastic and have made a plethora of positive improvements that have been recognised and won a few awards from Marsdens. They introduced weekly activities local pool team and quiz night. they host evenings of mediumship and singers. There’s multiple chefs now as the food is great and attractive a lot of local repeating customers and passing tourists. So maybe worth calling in advance I mainly go for the beer and being a country pub there’s never no nonsense and always a pleasant atmosphere.

Warm welcome and fabulous friendly staff and good pub food. Big thanks to Ali and Lee for the Sunday roast which was much better than a lot we’ve had in other pubs. Will be back

We've had a lovely Sunday roast dinner at Savoy Country Inn where Nicki and her team were so welcoming and happy to help. the Yorkshire puddings were massive, as was the portion size!! Stopped off for some food, received a warm welcome from Nick with his lovely shirt, very pleasant. The food was fantastic, highly recommend, the waitress was very friendly as well. Will definitely stop again on our travels.

Our food was beautiful and the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The staff were just brilliant. It's dog friendly, kid friendly and EV friendly.

Love visiting the Savoy, you are always made to feel welcome and the lovely owners always go out their way to have a chat. My husband hasn't been well lately and they always remember to ask how he is even though we don't go in that often. Recommend the fish and chips and the Mac and cheese, absolutely delicious

Such a great pub, stayed overnight, lovely room, an amazing breakfast, you get so many things included, tea, coffee, juice, fresh fruit, yoghurt pastries, cereal and a full English all for less than £9! The Savoy has everything you need, plenty of parking, kids park, disabled access, good veggie options and a GF menu, rooms, friendly staff and a fab non alcoholic selection

After picking my stepdaughter and her boyfriend from Carmarthen train station yesterday, then heading to Tenby. Dropped into the Savoy as we were all hungry. Lovely welcome from Nikki and chose our seats. Food was delicious and we left fully stuffed. Recommended.

We ordered via the QR code which was straightforward and easy. Our drinks arrived very fast and the food not long after. The food was delicious and the service was great. There were a lot of screaming children which I've marked down the atmosphere for but that's more of a reflection on the other people there that day than the staff or venue itself. It's a family pub so to be expected!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Was served by Lee who was warm, welcoming, it's lovely to be greeted by someone so happy and helpful, we took a gamble having never been here before, and it paid off!! The food was GORGEOUS , The salad nearly made me sob! This was no ordinary salad, this was SPECIAL ! We have found our local eating place!! Thank you!!

Always drive past this place ,this tome went for some lunch ,food is lovely and prices very reasonable, I highly recommend paying this place a visit

Recently stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed. Atmosphere was so warm, staff were very friendly. Alyson looked after us so well, giving us extra milk and teabags when we asked, and refreshed our room daily. We will certainly be staying again

very friendly service, good and quickly prepared food (especially burgers recommended), large parking lot, reasonably priced, absolutely recommended, warm food until 9 p.m., located directly on the main road A477, dogs can be brought along

Cleanest room I've ever stayed in, when I needed linen the lady who works there called Alyson was very helpful in getting me some. Best place I've stayed at ever. Will definitely be staying there again in the foreseeable future and recommend it to everyone.

My partner and I stayed for a couple of nights. The service was excellent and we would like to thank Alyson for keeping our room immaculate. Food was tasty and the atmosphere was homely. Will be going again.

We had an amazing meal at the savoy yesterday, the vegan food was delicious and Ally at the bar was fantastic, very attentive to our food sensitivities and vegan options! Lee was so lovely as well couldn’t have asked for better service. Harry in the kitchen had suggest we come here and we don’t regret a thing!!

Ellie was very attentive and polite waitress who made the experience a very pleasurable one and we will definitely be returning for that reason.

Harry in the kitchen always takes time and effort in how the food is, always makes time for customers. Can’t recommend the savoy enough.

Came with my family for food and we couldn’t be happier. The new owner Nick has really picked the place up. We were served by Ally who went above and beyond for us! We couldn’t have asked for better customer service. The food was delicious, and they had a wide range suited to anyone. The bar was filled with a huge range of different drinks we were spoilt for choice. Highly recommend this place it’s absolutely brilliant

Every time my family and I come through from our visit to Tenby or Folly Farm, we will almost always stop here. Staff have always been friendly and food is excellent too. Looking forward to many more stops at Savoy Country Inn.

Food not that great had a long wait 45 mins. Hunters chicken lacked sauce and mixed grill steak was very tuff. Dogs are allowed but were not quite. Won't be going back any time soon.

Very welcoming as we had dogs however my husbands burger was very pink ! It's ok for a basic meal. I wouldn't recommend there are nicer places to eat.

Popped in for lunch really nice warm welcome ordered breaded mushrooms starters delicious ,had a great sausage mash with red onion gravy as main course,good beer ,served perfectly by ally,would highly recommend, will definitely be back

A good pub ruined by poor allocation of tables, sitting our group next to a large loud party when the rest of the pub is empty. Very poor.

Our visit on Christmas day wasn't enough for us, so we went for Boxing Day dinner too. The food was superb, the service was wonderful.The staff are also wonderful.In fact it felt as though we were at a large family get together.I .It is always a pleasure to dine there..We are regulars there and the service is aways 1st class.

We was in the area on holiday for a few days , we saw the pub and popped in for food. The young lady behind the bar and staff were friendly and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. We were given a table and drinks and menu. Food was quick. Food was very nice, so much we came back next evening for another meal. Highly recommend 👌

Came in yesterday and the restaurant was absolutely packed being it bank holiday Monday. We hadn’t booked a table but the staff were so attentive and lovely and found us a place to sit. The food was well worth the wait and I can’t find a fault to complain about. Would definitely recommend. Family and dog friendly!!!

Waited a good 6-8 minutes to be served as only one serving behind the bar! Other staff member too busy printing reserved table signs to stop and serve the big queue at the. Had the audacity then to charge me £1.05 for a 'dash' of lemonade in my wine! First and last time we go here. No hospitality skills whatsoever, so disappointed.

They managed to fit in a party of 5 at very short notice on a Sunday ,the food and drinks were excellent value, and best of all (for me anyway) dog friendly! Will definitely be back

Called in today for breakfast. Greeted by a lovely, friendly gentleman, who made us feel very welcome .The breakfasts were freshly cooked and delicious and our dogs loved the sausages off the 'dog menu'. Definitely worth a visit.

service good, food was nice, however the glasses look like they haven't been renovated in many years, utterly disgusting state, widgets all blocked up so drinks all flat most of our party didn't finish our drinks, pepsi glasses and wine glasses the same.

Food is lovely and well presented. Staff are very friendly. Wheelchair access. And well-behaved dogs are welcome. They also take BLC, which is a bonus. I have visited on four occasions, and every time has been a pleasant experience, which is why I return.

Empty restaurant, yet 1hr wait for food????? Not the 1st time, but will definitely be the last. Being a local, used to dine here quite often but has seriously gone down hill, thought we would give them another chance - more fool us! On a positive note at least they warned us before we were even seated and ordered drinks this time.

Just walked in to get a meal, Barman said as we hadn’t booked a table there would be an hour wait for table and food, that was at 17:54 we said forget it and walked out, more empty tables than tables with people, out of curiosity went online to find that a table was available for booking at 18:00! Perhaps the staff need to be informed, or at least trained on how to use a booking system 🤔 local to area, will NOT be recommending to any visitors!

Food was good but it took a long time to arrive.

Stayed 1 night room ok basic but comfortable for 1 night. But very noisy due to road especially when lorries go past may as well be sleeping in lay by. Evening meal was a mix bag steak was good fish was dried up. Breakfast not good at all. Waited 45 mins seemed as though wanted to serve all tables together. Bacon sausages etc all hard like cardboard even beans had a film on them where dried out. Only 1 to enjoy it was our dog

Forget to order peas instead of onion rings and rocket. Don't like bbq sauce either, personal choice. Chicken and sweet potatoes were perfect as usual. Love this Marston establishment, especially whenever we are in the area.
