Savoy Country Inn in Carmarthenshire

The burgers were huge, a little overcooked but tasty. The lighting arrangement in the restaurant needs re assessing, especially when doing the quiz night. The staff are great and are always welcoming and friendly.

Stopped in for a quck bite with the partner for lunch. Food was served very quickly and was very nice. I had the fish and chips and she had a sirloin which was cooked to perfection.The girl who served us was very helpful i believe her name was ally and when we asked her to give the chef our thanks and compliments she said she would let Danny the chef know. Would definitely recommend stopping for a bite but would also suggest booking ahead as the place filled up quite quickly.

Stayed for a couple of nights. The room clean and fresh. Thanks to Alyson for refreshing our towels daily. Will definitely stay again

We came when it was wet so we’re glad to get somewhere warm and dry, Lee made us feel very welcome upon our visit.

First time here, and was delighted to go with work Christmas due. Great atmosphere, busy environment, clean place. Great service, everyone is nice and friendly and the food was absolutely stunning. Very well served, with generous quantities per person, and may I say, my favourite was by far the sticky toffee pudding!! The best I had in years!!! Just perfect. Well done at the Savoy everyone!

We stayed at the Savoy Country Inn 24th to 27th November, we were in Wales for a family funeral. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and at ease. Everyone we had contact with was warm, friendly, welcoming and professional. The managers Nick and Nicky were excellent hosts so friendly and informative, easy to talk with as if we'd know them for years. The food was definitely an experience not to be missed, the fish was the best we've had in a long time, I had it twice and hubby had it once. It was so consistent, crispy beer batter every time, beautiful creamy moist fish. Compliments to the chef. Oh and not forgetting the breakfasts, excellent choices. All staff from managers to housekeeping were lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were clean and warm with very comfy fresh beds. I would say, the rooms would benefit from a little upgrade, and a bit of tlc. We stayed in the same room years ago, with the same old furniture and missing knob on the wardrobe, and same blob of paint on the curtain. Coating on the one chair in the room was peeling off. Maybe a more comfortable chair would be better for people like hubby and I with severe osteoarthritis. With that said, it certainly wouldn't deter us from staying again. We hope to return again at least once next year.

3 great days spent at the Savoy ,staff are very attentive and helpful, nothing too much trouble ,accommodation warm and comfy, excellent menu choices, food was exceptional ,breakfast 👌 evening meals 😋 couldn't falt a thing ,Nick and Nicki were superb hosts.

We St Clears Men Shed,went there today for Breakfast, a very pleasant time we had Nick and his wife looked after us very well, the food was excellent and endless coffees, we will definitely be coming back,

Left previous review for the Savoy but had to pop on another as I just love what they have done with the place, it looks fabulous since the refurbishments and now all the Xmas decs are up, the place looks stunning, no Xmas tackiness that pubs can be some times, just festive and cozy which is exactly what we needed, not to mention the wonderful staff and tasty food! Love visiting the Savoy, you are always made to feel welcome and the lovely owners always go out their way to have a chat. My husband hasn't been well lately and they always remember to ask how he is even though we don't go in that often. Recommend the fish and chips and the Mac and cheese, absolutely delicious

First visit in many years. Lovely food, good service, and looking forward to eating here again. Only reservation is how close the tables are for a quiet and relaxed meal. We had to listen to a child's film for a good portion of our meal because the parents had a tablet on the table with the volume turned up. Not really the restaurant's fault, but the atmosphere wasn't as nice as when we sat down.

Popped in for a late lunch. We were seen to quickly and efficiently and served drinks at the bar which were put on the table tab. Attended to within a decent time frame, food was of a good quality and one minor mistake was addressed and corrected straight away without any hassle. Five happy adults for the mains, only 3 with room for dessert jam sponge pudding and custard was very light and tasty and the sherry trifle cheesecake was absolutely amazing. Would recommend for a decent pub style meal.

Highly recommend This is my 2nd review of the savoy country inn Since my last review the establishment has undergone renovations and upgrades. The new management are really enthusiastic and have made a plethora of positive improvements that have been recognised and won a few awards from Marsdens. They introduced weekly activities local pool team and quiz night. they host evenings of mediumship and singers. There’s multiple chefs now as the food is great and attractive a lot of local repeating customers and passing tourists. So maybe worth calling in advance I mainly go for the beer and being a country pub there’s never no nonsense and always a pleasant atmosphere.

We've had a lovely Sunday roast dinner at Savoy Country Inn where Nicki and her team were so welcoming and happy to help. the Yorkshire puddings were massive, as was the portion size!! Such a great pub, stayed overnight, lovely room, an amazing breakfast, you get so many things included, tea, coffee, juice, fresh fruit, yoghurt pastries, cereal and a full English all for less than £9! The Savoy has everything you need, plenty of parking, kids park, disabled access, good veggie options and a GF menu, rooms, friendly staff and a fab non alcoholic selection

After picking my stepdaughter and her boyfriend from Carmarthen train station yesterday, then heading to Tenby. Dropped into the Savoy as we were all hungry. Lovely welcome from Nikki and chose our seats. Food was delicious and we left fully stuffed. Recommended.

We ordered via the QR code which was straightforward and easy. Our drinks arrived very fast and the food not long after. The food was delicious and the service was great. There were a lot of screaming children which I've marked down the atmosphere for but that's more of a reflection on the other people there that day than the staff or venue itself. It's a family pub so to be expected!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Cleanest room I've ever stayed in, when I needed linen the lady who works there called Alyson was very helpful in getting me some. Best place I've stayed at ever. Will definitely be staying there again in the foreseeable future and recommend it to everyone.

Every time my family and I come through from our visit to Tenby or Folly Farm, we will almost always stop here. Staff have always been friendly and food is excellent too. Looking forward to many more stops at Savoy Country Inn.

Food not that great had a long wait 45 mins. Hunters chicken lacked sauce and mixed grill steak was very tuff. Dogs are allowed but were not quite. Won't be going back any time soon.

Very welcoming as we had dogs however my husbands burger was very pink ! It's ok for a basic meal. I wouldn't recommend there are nicer places to eat.

Our visit on Christmas day wasn't enough for us, so we went for Boxing Day dinner too. The food was superb, the service was wonderful.The staff are also wonderful.In fact it felt as though we were at a large family get together.I .It is always a pleasure to dine there..We are regulars there and the service is aways 1st class.

Came in yesterday and the restaurant was absolutely packed being it bank holiday Monday. We hadn’t booked a table but the staff were so attentive and lovely and found us a place to sit. The food was well worth the wait and I can’t find a fault to complain about. Would definitely recommend. Family and dog friendly!!!

We was in the area on holiday for a few days , we saw the pub and popped in for food. The young lady behind the bar and staff were friendly and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. We were given a table and drinks and menu. Food was quick. Food was very nice, so much we came back next evening for another meal. Highly recommend 👌

Waited a good 6-8 minutes to be served as only one serving behind the bar! Other staff member too busy printing reserved table signs to stop and serve the big queue at the. Had the audacity then to charge me £1.05 for a 'dash' of lemonade in my wine! First and last time we go here. No hospitality skills whatsoever, so disappointed.
