Me and my family love going here when I'm down seeing my mum. X the ladies are lovely, food is lush, nice and clean and the atmosphere is always friendly x

Fish was amazing. Quality of fish was great. Gravy and mushy peas are scrumptious.

Kind staff and Comfortable atmosphere. However, ive had chips here a few times and their not that good, bland and oily. Personally i only recommended eating here if you just want food in ya belly.

We ordered fish & chips, sausage and gravy. Good: Fish was very nice, batter was a little soggy tho, needs to be cooked longer to have a crispy batter. Gravy and sausage both lovely taste. Bad: Most of the chips we had were grey seems theyre not fresh chips. Not much vinegar sprinkled on the chips as well. Price a bit pricey, could do with meal deals. Overall its okay but needs improving.

One of the best Fish and chips I have had in the county. No issues at all great service with a smile and freshly cooked. Highly recommend Crisp and Dry when in the area. I know I will definitely be going back.

Not nice. What has happened to your food in the last month. Everything overcooked/reheated and everything looks brown and burnt. Last two orders were terrible. Since the shop refurb the food has gone downhill rapidly! Won’t be back till it’s sorted too expensive to pay out for reheated/burnt food!!!

Had cod bites and chips, cod bites excellent, chips terrible, not freshly cooked, re cooked, wouldn't go there again, very disgusting chips straight in the bin

Very, very disappointing. Cannot recommend, unless you like luke warm chips, very hit and miss -as to whether the chips are fresh or otherwise. It’s not the first time we haven't been able to finish the food. Not happy being charged full price for substandard meal.

Lovely local chippy with well cooked fresh fish and chips. The kids boxes are great and a sensible size for little ones. Staff are courteous and friendly. Worth a visit for a treat dinner.

Just recently visited Carmarthen and luckily stumbled upon this great place very welcoming and very clean and open spaces and the staff were absoluty superb made us feel very welcome and the food was lovely keep up the good work guys

Minced beef and onion pie was really nice, even better than pukka pies 👍 nice chips and lush gravy, will definitely be back for more, this is possibly the best chippy in Carmarthen! Worth 5 stars 🌟excellent 👍😊

Great place to stop for a break and rushed lunch. 1 hour parking outside. Sadly no toilet as it is really classed as a take away and 10% added if eating in. However - great service yummy half chicken and good full fat coffee.

I am fast becoming a regular. I usually call ahead once a week to place an order for collection at the end of the day. Last time Sam and Rachel spotted me when I parked outside and by the time I got into the shop they had it all wrapped up and ready to go. Always good service with a smile. The portions are generous and still really tasty even after a 20 mile drive home !

Very disappointing to find a big black hair in amongst my portion of chips. As I have hair which is fair from black, this hair does not belong to me.

Ordered food for lunch yesterday. I asked for a large chips chicken chunks and a sausage the chips were on the better side same with the chicken but the sausage was fantastic. Lovely lady named Zoe very chatty and great worker.

We have a takeaway from here every month or so and we always enjoy the food - especially the haddock. It is our favourite chip shop in Carmarthen.

We eat at crisp and fry in Carmarthen a few times a month as a treat. It's a lovely place to eat. The portions are generous and Zoe, Ben and Sam are friendly and flexible if you ask for something different, prices are very reasonable and there is always a good atmosphere and a smile on the servers faces. Love the place. Highly recommended.

I would never go back again, my chicken and fish were very dry and chips were frozen chips. They were awful to taste and thrown out half of them . If I was you , don't waste for your money.

Fish was small.too many chips that were over cooked threw them out for fox whats wrong staff ignore you

Chips tasted re heated and were cold sausage must of been there all day. Chicken burger was horrible daughter wouldn’t even eat it and she’s not fussy

Whilst the staff were friendly we were surrounded by uncleared tables while the staff chatted the other side of the counter. Unacceptable.

Wish I took a picture.. Asked for small chips and got 10!!!! Sausages and pies left sitting like forever, they are so dry. Two staff on that couldn't go any slower. It's ashame as the other shop at Crosshands is fab, think I will drive there next time.

Sausage and chips with a bread roll. The roll was lovely. The rest was stone cold. The fox will have them on the way home. Such a shame. A chippie with cold chips. That's all you do. Chips etc. I don't expect Michelin grade food. A hard earned £6.80 down the pan!

Friendly staff, steak & ale pie was good, as was the curry sauce. However, the chips had been re-heated and weren’t good. I’d definitely go back if they made fresh chips, wouldn’t mind waiting either. Update, I’ve been back since my previous 3 star review and can say that I’ve had fresh chips a number of times since. Now 5 stars

This place is immaculately clean and well presented for a chippie. The portion sizes are massive for their dearer items. I had a double donner box which could easily have fed a family for 15 pounds. My wife had the signature donner for 8.50 which she could not finish despite wanting to. Superb value for money and tasty too.
