Fabulous lunch at Tafarn y Deri today. Staff friendly and attentive, fantastic ambience. Will definitely be back.

My friend and I often have catch up and try different venues. We went to Tafarn y Deri and tried the Carvery, and to say we weren't disappointed was an understatement. The Beef was out of this world, and didn't need a knife to cut it. The cauliflower cheese was delicious. I have tried many Carvery but this one was the best yet, definitely will be returning to try their other menus.

Lovely and quiet place to stay and the food is immense. Tonight I had the peppery chicken dish which was very tasty, and an amazing Bounty Cheesecake to finish off. It was the best cheesecake I've ever tried! Pay a visit and try the food. It's delicious!

Booked for a large group for a 70th birthday meal. Service was spot on and the food was enjoyed by all 21 family members so speaks volumes if you're looking to book for a large group👌🏾. The prices were very good considering the high quality and large portion sizes. Also great views towards the coast facing side of the venue.

Had a really nice meal here last night , the garlic bread with cheese was one of the best I have had . Food was piping hot and obviously cooked fresh . The sweets which are made in house were also very nice . Will visit again .

We booked Tafarn Y Deri for a baby shower. Lovely, spacious and warm room. Staff were very attentive, offered to help set up and always checking in if we needed anything. The food was delicious, all came out quickly and presented beautifully. We will definitely be returning and recommending to family and friends. Thank you to all the staff.

Didn't stay here, we went for a birthday meal. I was so looking forward to eating here as it has always had a good reputation and on previous visits the food has always been great, we went on my recommendation. It was my first time visiting since it reopened and was left extremely disappointed. The food, as you can see from the picture, it wasn't what they advertise. My friend felt that it was quite pricey too. It was a very small portion, and although the flavouring on the salmon was delicious, the herb potatoes were extremely greasy and had a pool on my plate after a few minutes. I think they also forgot the pea. Don't feel it was worth the £20. My friend enjoyed the chips. The service was ok, the one waitress was lovely and friendly, the other not so much. The atmosphere, well where to start. You feel like you are intruding into someone's home. Halfway through our meal, a few people on our left wanted the TV on, and the tv was across to our right. The waitress stood beside our table to fuss and try and get the tv sorted, then what I presumed was the owner also did this. It impacted the atmosphere for us. It became noisy and left us feeling unwelcome. There were only a handful, genuinely only a handful of people in the pub, but they were clearly regulars who get their way, regardless of the impact on others. We had hoped to stay for a couple more drinks and dessert, but we couldn't wait to leave as we were feeling so uncomfortable. Sadly, I will not be recommending this place to anyone, which is a shame as I have had some many positive experiences here, Inc., my parents' anniversary meal.

10/10. Our group was really happy with our trip to Tafarn y Deri! Portions were very generous, everyone left satisfied. Staff friendly and accommodating. Prices very reasonable.

Had a wonderful Xmas themed meal at TYD today. Full of flavour, wonderful service and just gorgeous. Highly recommended

A group of 37 had a fabulous carvery a week ago. Food was fresh, hot and delicious and the service was 1st class . We will definitely be back next year for our Xmas lunch.

Love this place! Food is consistently excellent. Always have great specials on - carvery is banging. Everyone at TYD are so attentive and friendly. Can’t ask for anything more. A must visit.

Came here for lunch today as they had an offer on for kids eating free and had the most amazing lunch. My wife had lasagna and my 4 kids had chicken nuggets. I on the other hand had an out of this world chicken katsu curry with chips and it was to die for. The young girl that served us was very polite and the service we had was fast and prompt. Thankyou very much Tafarn y deri and well-done guys l, really good job 👍👍👍👍👍😞😞😞

I came here for a family celebration. A large bar & restaurant. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. The food was very tasty, I ordered the creamy peppered chicken £15 and chocolate fudge cake & ice cream £5.25. Would definitely come back again as the food is really tasty. There is a large car park to the side of the restaurant and a few outside tables to the front.

Food is fantastic and the staff friendly welcoming. 100 per cent recommended.

Ordered Food for delivery, and I can’t believe I have had a takeaway that tastes just as good as eating in the restaurant. Hunters chicken, Gammon and Pizza. What a delight these were, and considering about 20mins away the food was still very hot. Absolutely delicious

Stopped in for lunch today and the food was 10/10, everything cooked perfectly and the service was the best I have received in a very long time! Definitely highly recommended!

Tried a carvery,roasties ,were fab,veg as you'd expect,pork well overcooked,turkey was good beef was good,staff pleasant.

Stunning! We sat outside, the sun was shining, the meal portions were big! For someone that needs a gluten free diet, the staff member who also needs this diet too reassured me and she was clued up on what was and wasn't safe for me to eat. Definitely the nicest gluten free meal I've had, none of it tasted like cardboard 😂 I can't wait to return!

5mins off the A48. Well worth the detour. Doesn’t look much from the outside, but food and service really good and very reasonable price too!

We came for their Italian evening, the food was delicious, ambiance in the restaurant with the music was lovely and their terrapin is incredibly cute. Every highly recommend coming on one of their themed evenings.

I haven't been to tavern y deri for years prior. Brought back some nice memories. Food was lovely although when we went there was a lack of food on the menu that was available. My son wanted the beef lasagne there wasn't any so he had the vegetable instead, about 3 or 4 other main meals weren't available. As we were there for a birthday we thought we would order a desert which was limited to about 4 deserts the one family member wanted was unavailable in which she couldn't eat anything else there. Apart from that great service.
