Solía ser más amigable. Este es el primer lugar de desayuno local que no me dejó cambiar una salchicha por otra cosa. Realmente no puedo entender por qué. Desayuno decente en general, pero podría haber tenido un mejor servicio al cliente.

tom yum soup very bland but the main course was lush and very spicy.

Awful opening hour and slightly expensive but if you can catch them when they are open, they do a reasonable cooked breakfast and great coffee

We had lunch at the City (Ex Windsor Arms) two weeks ago. It was a carvery and the food looked pleasing, it was hot, the service good but the beef we had was very tender but absolutely tasteless. A big disappointment. I would certainly not recommend the City for Sunday lunch. There are many more pubs that do much better food.

Just had a take out from here, 1st time because of all the talk about how good the food is, I must say it was delicious 😋. The service was spot on, I had chicken Bhuna, with garlic rice, and a lamb biryani mild sauce, it was banging and would recommend taking a visit. I will definitely be back 👌👍

Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was great... more relaxed than Wind St alternatives. Only issue is the size and congestion in front of the bar and toilets.

The rooms very lovely and huge. It got two bedrooms with king size bed and two single beds and two shower rooms. It got TV, kitchen and everything. The nice part is if you cook something you don't need to wash utensils you can leave it which is awesome. I would like to visit again.

Sin haber estado nunca en el Ship Inn antes de que mi marido y yo decidimos que daríamos el lugar hace poco dadas las críticas de 5 estrellas. 24 / 04 / 2025 . Cuando entramos nos sorprendimos de lo mal que se veía el lugar, con asientos rasgados y manchados, bastante oscuros y sombríos. Esperamos 15 minutos para tomar una copa. Nadie estuvo en el bar durante este tiempo, a pesar de que estaba relativamente ocupado o parecía ocupado, pero luego no es muy grande. La camarera que finalmente apareció estaba sucia y no era acogedora servía flat lager y flat Pepsi. Examiné el menú de orejas de perro y amarillo y me quedé sin inspiración. La 'Cocinera' apareció con su trapo de té sucio colgado sobre su hombro. Dada la presentación del lugar y el personal, decidimos terminar nuestras bebidas y fuimos a otro lugar para dónde. Tal vez la comida habría sido increíble como las críticas parecen retratar, pero la forma en que el lugar se presentó, me siento cuestionado.

Me and 11 friends visited this pub on Saturday evening. We weren’t sure what to expect as it never seemed that busy but decided to give it a try based on some good reviews and the proximity to our hotel. The bar and outside space was quite busy but the restaurant wasn’t! None of the 12 people had anything good to say about their meal. The Welsh rarebit starter was frankly awful (no cheese!) and the beef and chicken burgers were very average at best! I expressed my disappointment about the Welsh rarebit starter to two members of staff who showed no real interest - maybe they do Welsh rarebit differently in Wales! This was 12 middle/old age men on a golf trip looking for some good wholesome pub grub near to our hotel and everyone left very disappointed and we adjourned to the wine bar next door for a post meal drink! There was it seems a reason why this pub never seemed that busy!

Food was cold when it arrived although it was very good

Set in a lovely spot, this is. Modern restaurant which is well fitted out. However there was very little atmosphere as far from busy on a Thursday night. The food was ok in the most part although a few of us had the mussels starters and there so few in the small bowl it was not great value or remotely enough even as a starter. We predominantly had steaks which were ok but not that tasty. My one ( which I had ordered medium rare) and was told who ordered medium - as none of us had it went back to the kitchen and then a minute or two later was brought out again with the waiter claiming it was a medium rare steak. It was over cooked for even medium and quite clearly the kitchen had messed up and rather than cook a new steak correctly they tired it get away with it. Service was generally ok but ruined by the above
