Honestly one of the best food experiences I've had in Swansea - hand on heart I cannot think of a better place in Swansea to enjoy food with 'friends" - shame about the company amazing place

Most elements were great except to the most crucial…… The curries. Too bland, lacking in spice for chosen dishes.

Solid food. The butter chicken was very well seasoned and appealingly spicy. Together with the salmon it was a good change between mild and spicy. The price for 2 people including coffee was around €30. The quantity was also completely sufficient. Not too much and not too little either. The service and ambience were good. Basically it would be a 4.5, as only small things in the ambience could be improved. E.g. Indian music selection, all food in Indian bowls... but both are just a matter of taste and don't really reduce the overall feeling.

The team’s service was beyond commendable—they went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. As always, the food was authentic, flavorful, and rich, and the beautiful ambiance added to the joy of the evening. Mr. Raj, his wife, and the entire team truly embody exceptional hospitality, and we are so grateful for the effort they put into making our day unforgettable. I recently dined at Atlantic, an Indian restaurant in Swansea, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! I ordered pani puri, salad, naan, and sabzi, and everything was absolutely delicious. The pani puri was perfectly crispy and filled with flavorful water, while the salad was fresh and vibrant. The naan was soft and fluffy, and it paired wonderfully with the sabzi, which was rich in spices and taste. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. You won't be disappointed!

The food were tasty specially the starter items. Only disappointing was they don’t serve any desert items. One unfortunate event happened that they probably served expired or old apple juice for the kid which had some jelly like substance floating within the juice, though once pointed out they replaced it. The service was not very fast. The manager/owner was minutely observing each and everything the customers were doing which is a bit awkward at certain points.

Food was fantastic, best Dhansak I’ve had out in Swansea, staff were very friendly. Lovely space upstairs. Highly recommended.

We thought the food was great everything was ok until we seen the way the main man running the place spoke to a delivery driver it was absolutely disgusting the poor man only asked how long the order was going to be and the owner let rip on him I have to say theses delivery drivers help theys place's stay open by doing what they do so show more respect to them or you may find no riders coming to get the orders you cook for customer's

Wonderful staff, atmosphere, presentation and taste. We travelled to Swansea for work from Leicester, which is known for a great curry and boy were we pleased to have found this place! Samosa Chat, Prawn 65, Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Bhuna all utterly delicious, balanced and beautifully cooked. Highly recommend this place.

Best place to have a really nice curry in Swansea- right in the middle of town with a great view of the castle. The staff are always pleasant and the food is of a high quality with decent vegetarian options

Came fast the prices are a little bit much in my opinion and I weren’t a fan of the butter chicken it just didn’t taste great I don’t know if it was a bad day but the biryani was fine again all personal thoughts but it was decent

Enjoyed a beautiful well seasoned meal at Raj. Food was excellent .We thoroughly enjoyed the starters especially chicken lollipop. Compliments specially to the amazing mixologist Lalu who made us delicious mocktails which we thoroughly enjoyed. Really looking forward to more foodie adventures at Raj. Thank you guys. Had an amazing time at Raj Kitchen the other night! The food was wonderful, the prices were amazingly reasonable, and the service was excellent. Our server, Mukul, was so sweet and friendly! Definitely recommend going here — my new favourite in Swansea.

Delivery meal - Arrived within one hour quicker that original estimate. Food arrived and the masala chips where cooked to perfection and the seasoning was beautiful. We also had two chicken tikka masala, keema rice, keema nan along with chicken 65. All food was absolutely delicious and arrived at the perfect temperature. Probably the best Indian in Swansea. It was an unexpected visit to this restaurant while we are on our holiday trip to Swansea .it was very near to Swansea castle .As we are missing Indian tangy street food we wanna give a try.To our surprise food was so delicious ☺️.Raj ,owner of the restaurant was so down to earth person and friendly.He greeted us very well and service was soooo soo nice.we ordered Pani Puri,chaat ,chicken 65 and for main we ordered butter nanna and panner butter masala .every item was tasty.......thank you Raj kitchen for good food and all the best .

We ordered a takeaway. We asked if they could replace a meat dish with vegetables, and they said no (every other restaurant we use doesn't have a problem with this). And I got an insulting look for daring to ask such a question! After walking 30 mins back home, we realised they gave us an incorrect dish (which was more expensive than the dish we ordered, hence costing us more!). I called to explain the situation and they refused to deliver us the correct dish (they didn't even apologise), instead insisting that we should collect from them, which is an hour long walk for us. We had no other option and hence walked back to collect the correct dish, yet there was no other compensation. We paid more money unnecessarily ....and had to walk back (an hour!) because of a fault on their part. Customers shouldn't be treated like this when the fault was caused by the restaurant. In summary, the lady we dealt with was rude and offered nil compensation for our inconvenience. The only plus point was the kind man who made a table for us to have a drink while we waited for the takeaway. We will never use this restaurant again.

We had a fantastic evening at the Raj Kitchen! The restaurant is in a prime location, is beautifully decorated, and, has a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. The chilli garlic curry was excellent, with an authentic flavour. The staff were friendly, and very hospitable, even surprising my friend with a cake for her birthday- it wasn't expected at all! The effort by Raj and the team was really appreciated, they went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Highly recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to coming again soon. I tried raj kitchen for the first time and I got same taste as in my city’s restaurant like real taste from even in new country, and I love the chicken 65 and momo with chutney.

Ordered 2 starters, the spinach chaat was lush...the chef's special! Small portions, nice for 2 people. Chicken 65 was juicy. Took me back to Kolkata💕 Nostalgic. Loved it! I love 🔥🥵 hot spicy food but the Prawn Saag was a revelation! Not crazy hot, but a fine balance of spices, mild kick and I loved it! And it wasn't just spinach sauteed and made a part of the sauce, this was spinach blended with the spices. Very authentic! Can't praise their food enough.💕🤩

Could not recommend this place enough. Possibly the best curry I've had in a long time. Not greasy, full of flavour, reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The staff were very friendly and I had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

Since you have asked so kindly to provide constructive criticism. I would say the food was very flavourless and lacked any sort of soul. I was very disappointed and I hope you have improved since. On my recent visit to Raj kitchen for dinner, I was welcomed with warmth by the staff and Mr Raj was really kind and helped us order food according to our taste. And the food was best in town it took me a trip back to India. It was indeed very authentic I’d definitely visit again.🙂

I didn’t like this places. We asked for spicy Indian food but they gave us too much spicy food my stomach is burning right now. Seats were uncomfortable then we asked for another table. And the owner or manager I don’t know who it was he was just staring us I felt very uncomfortable.

The BEST Indian in Swansea. I never write reviews, ever, but when food is this good I feel it’s so right to guide people where to eat next. I just picked up a takeaway meal from Raj Indian Restaurant about 30 minutes ago, and I’m genuinely impressed with the entire experience. I placed my order—garlic chilli chicken, butter chicken, mixed vegetable jalfrezi, and vegetable rice—and it was ready within 15 minutes, which was a great surprise given the quality of the food. When I arrived to place the order, I just walked right in, I was greeted by a one of Raj, co-workers chwari, after placing the order he proceeded to tell me it may take 15-20 minutes. I waited 13-15 minutes before going back inside and then I was greeted by, Raj, the owner, who was friendly and made sure everything was in order. You can tell he takes pride in his restaurant and cares about customer satisfaction, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The butter chicken was the star of the meal—perfectly cooked chicken coated in a creamy sauce that had a beautiful authentic taste but wasn’t overwhelming. It was savoury, aromatic, and packed with flavour, making it a real standout. The garlic chilli chicken was equally delicious, with tender pieces of chicken swimming in a rich, garlicky sauce that balanced sweetness and spice in a way that’s hard to beat. The mixed vegetable jalfrezi was a great addition, packed with fresh, crunchy vegetables and a zesty sauce that added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the dish. The vegetable rice was fluffy and fragrant, with just the right amount of seasoning to complement the main dishes. Each item was well-portioned and carefully packed for takeout, and the quality held up during the short journey home. Overall, Raj Indian Restaurant delivered a fantastic takeaway experience with fresh, flavorful food and fast service. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! - JT

An amazing night celebrating my birthday and I couldn't have chosen a better venue!!!They made our evening very special and we're exceptionally kind ,warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They celebrated my special day by ringing the bells and the longest Happy birthday serenade I've ever heard.cannot recommend anywhere else as highly as this. The owner took time to talk to us all and even provided myself and 2 sisters with a beautiful complimentary glass of pink prosseco with pomegranate which was delicious. Can't wait to return to this incredibly beautiful and friendly establishment. Thank you and your superb staff for a wonderful,memorable evening.

An excellent early evening meal at Raj Kitchen tonight. The best Indian I've had in a long time. All our dishes were spot on (very impressed with the home made lime pickle!) and the service was stand out...thank you Raj and team for a great evening.

Really lovely food at a late lunch, early dinner. Loved the samosa chat and fish amritsar starters. My Kerala chicken chetinad main was the best curry I've eaten in a long time, and tasted like the curries I've previously eaten in South India. It was beautifully spiced with lovely gravy bursting with flavours including coconut and curry leaves. And, upon request, they made us jeera rice too! Can't wait to return.

Onion Bhaji were lovely and fresh but lacked some spice. Main dishes were tasty but small in size as was the rice. Naan bread came in three or four pieces and wasn’t served warm or that fresh and was as flat as a roti. Rather average all round really. Also Cobra was bitter tasting on draught. Stick to the bottles. I’ll stick to my old faithful. Very nice place and fitted out nicely. Modern Indian music a little loud and not really to my taste.

This is one of, if not the best Indian Restaurant I have visited. The Lamb Dansak was superb. Raj was very welcoming, clearly takes pride in providing great food, and his recent award is well deserved. If you have not been, you should go.

the food here was lovely, the chef had just got back from an award ceremony in london where he won an award for his delicious food. the service was great, our server was so kind and helpful and the food was genuinely so good, the chef definitely takes pride in his work. great ambience as well, we will be coming back here again, it was amazing!

Spontaneous stop for lunch. We were trying to decide where to eat and saw Raj kitchen. It looked cute from the outside so decided to go in and was blown away with how beautiful it was inside. The service was so friendly from start to finish. Ok let's talk about the food, what can I say absolutely stunning!! The presentation of food was 10/10 and the taste, I can't really describe, it was 1000% delicious. It was the best Indian we have ever had. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go again.

We attended Raj Kitchen as a group of 20. The owner and staff went out their way to make us feel comfortable, they rearranged their seating to ensure we felt happy. The atmosphere was lovely and family friendly, our children were happy especially as the staff were polite and friendly throughout the experience. Food was 10/10 the chef clearly punches way above his weight! Every dish was different and unique. The food was delicious from the starters to the mains we could not fault a single item. We were tourists in Swansea for 3 nights this is a restaraunt we would highly recommend it definitely is a hidden Gem. Highly recommend!

Very bad experience. Went there yesterday and ordered a dal, which tasted really bad and also found raw pieces of garlic inside. Also ordered chicken 65 which was ok though. Overall a bad experience and felt like wasted my night going there.
