This Indian restaurant is absolutely The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The menu is full of delicious options, from classic curries to amazing vegetarian dishes. The flavours are rich and authentic, and everything is cooked to perfection.The staff are really friendly and helpful.

Since you have asked so kindly to provide constructive criticism. I would say the food was very flavourless and lacked any sort of soul. I was very disappointed and I hope you have improved since. I will be back and hopefully things are different. P.S. a member of staff called my friend fat, which was a little unexpected - accurate, but unexpected.

On my recent visit to Raj kitchen for dinner, I was welcomed with warmth by the staff and Mr Raj was really kind and helped us order food according to our taste. And the food was best in town it took me a trip back to India. It was indeed very authentic I’d definitely visit again.🙂

I didn’t like this places. We asked for spicy Indian food but they gave us too much spicy food my stomach is burning right now. Seats were uncomfortable then we asked for another table. And the owner or manager I don’t know who it was he was just staring us I felt very uncomfortable.

The BEST Indian in Swansea. I never write reviews, ever, but when food is this good I feel it’s so right to guide people where to eat next. I just picked up a takeaway meal from Raj Indian Restaurant about 30 minutes ago, and I’m genuinely impressed with the entire experience. I placed my order—garlic chilli chicken, butter chicken, mixed vegetable jalfrezi, and vegetable rice—and it was ready within 15 minutes, which was a great surprise given the quality of the food. When I arrived to place the order, I just walked right in, I was greeted by a one of Raj, co-workers chwari, after placing the order he proceeded to tell me it may take 15-20 minutes. I waited 13-15 minutes before going back inside and then I was greeted by, Raj, the owner, who was friendly and made sure everything was in order. You can tell he takes pride in his restaurant and cares about customer satisfaction, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The butter chicken was the star of the meal—perfectly cooked chicken coated in a creamy sauce that had a beautiful authentic taste but wasn’t overwhelming. It was savoury, aromatic, and packed with flavour, making it a real standout. The garlic chilli chicken was equally delicious, with tender pieces of chicken swimming in a rich, garlicky sauce that balanced sweetness and spice in a way that’s hard to beat. The mixed vegetable jalfrezi was a great addition, packed with fresh, crunchy vegetables and a zesty sauce that added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the dish. The vegetable rice was fluffy and fragrant, with just the right amount of seasoning to complement the main dishes. Each item was well-portioned and carefully packed for takeout, and the quality held up during the short journey home. Overall, Raj Indian Restaurant delivered a fantastic takeaway experience with fresh, flavorful food and fast service. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! - JT

An amazing night celebrating my birthday and I couldn't have chosen a better venue!!!They made our evening very special and we're exceptionally kind ,warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They celebrated my special day by ringing the bells and the longest Happy birthday serenade I've ever heard.cannot recommend anywhere else as highly as this. The owner took time to talk to us all and even provided myself and 2 sisters with a beautiful complimentary glass of pink prosseco with pomegranate which was delicious. Can't wait to return to this incredibly beautiful and friendly establishment. Thank you and your superb staff for a wonderful,memorable evening.

An excellent early evening meal at Raj Kitchen tonight. The best Indian I've had in a long time. All our dishes were spot on (very impressed with the home made lime pickle!) and the service was stand out...thank you Raj and team for a great evening.

Really lovely food at a late lunch, early dinner. Loved the samosa chat and fish amritsar starters. My Kerala chicken chetinad main was the best curry I've eaten in a long time, and tasted like the curries I've previously eaten in South India. It was beautifully spiced with lovely gravy bursting with flavours including coconut and curry leaves. And, upon request, they made us jeera rice too! Can't wait to return.

Probably the best Indian meal I have ever had. The food was all about flavour and not just being hot. Absolutely wonderful food.

Onion Bhaji were lovely and fresh but lacked some spice. Main dishes were tasty but small in size as was the rice. Naan bread came in three or four pieces and wasn’t served warm or that fresh and was as flat as a roti. Rather average all round really. Also Cobra was bitter tasting on draught. Stick to the bottles. I’ll stick to my old faithful. Very nice place and fitted out nicely. Modern Indian music a little loud and not really to my taste.

Worst Chicken Biriyani, very disappointed. it's not Chicken Biriyani it's taste like Chicken fried rice.. I never recommend this restaurant for Biriyani.. after given feedback they don't care...

This is one of, if not the best Indian Restaurant I have visited. The Lamb Dansak was superb. Raj was very welcoming, clearly takes pride in providing great food, and his recent award is well deserved. If you have not been, you should go.

The dining experience at Raj Kitchen was amazing! Everything from reception, ambience, food and service were just fantastic! Chiran was super nice. He always had a smile on his face and treated us with the utmost respect. Kudos to him really.

the food here was lovely, the chef had just got back from an award ceremony in london where he won an award for his delicious food. the service was great, our server was so kind and helpful and the food was genuinely so good, the chef definitely takes pride in his work. great ambience as well, we will be coming back here again, it was amazing!

I recently visited Raj Kitchen, and I must say , it offers an impressive variety of both vegetarian and non- vegetarian dishes. The menu is well balanced, catering to diverse tastes. The spices were perfectly blended, and the portions were generous. The ambiance is cozy, with a clean and welcoming vibe, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Whether you're dining with family or friends, there's something for everyone here. Will definitely come back !

We attended Raj Kitchen as a group of 20. The owner and staff went out their way to make us feel comfortable, they rearranged their seating to ensure we felt happy. The atmosphere was lovely and family friendly, our children were happy especially as the staff were polite and friendly throughout the experience. Food was 10/10 the chef clearly punches way above his weight! Every dish was different and unique. The food was delicious from the starters to the mains we could not fault a single item. We were tourists in Swansea for 3 nights this is a restaraunt we would highly recommend it definitely is a hidden Gem. Highly recommend!

Spontaneous stop for lunch. We were trying to decide where to eat and saw Raj kitchen. It looked cute from the outside so decided to go in and was blown away with how beautiful it was inside. The service was so friendly from start to finish. Ok let's talk about the food, what can I say absolutely stunning!! The presentation of food was 10/10 and the taste, I can't really describe, it was 1000% delicious. It was the best Indian we have ever had. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go again.

Went in Saturday before heading towrds Tenbi, glad that we stopped, i am from south india, the tarka dal and the cicken 65 is to go for and the lamb kala bhuna is a show stopper , will come back if we visit swansea again, hats of to Raj Kitchen

Very bad experience. Went there yesterday and ordered a dal, which tasted really bad and also found raw pieces of garlic inside. Also ordered chicken 65 which was ok though. Overall a bad experience and felt like wasted my night going there.

Excellent famous Biryani. Service with a smile.

We visited as a group of 7 (5 were eating) and were initially told the wait would be 40-60 minutes, which we were fine with. This is after being stood at the door for over 5 minutes before being seated. After sitting down, it took another 5 minutes to receive menus. Once we were ready to order, the waiter promised to return in a couple of minutes, but it took around 10 minutes for him to come back, though he did apologise. We ordered drinks, but there was no bottled still water available (only told after ordering) so two of us had to settle for tap water. One drink was forgotten, and we had to ask for it again. The food arrived quicker than expected, but it was the wrong order, we were told our correct meals would be out in a few minutes, which turned out to be true. The food itself was fresh and delicious, except for the naan bread, which was lukewarm at best. Unfortunately, the chicken tikka masala was missing, and we had to remind the waiter. When it eventually arrived, it was the wrong dish (just chicken tikka). Despite confirming our order multiple times, the waiter insisted we had asked for it dry, which we hadn’t. Adding to the disappointment, the music in the restaurant was far too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation and really detracting from the overall ambiance. Throughout the meal, no one checked if we needed anything or offered to refill our drinks, which should be standard service. After finishing, we had to wait over 15 minutes after signalling for the bill, even though we were one of the last tables. It felt like we were begging to pay. The manager did remove the incorrect dish from the bill but was dismissive of our feedback and made excuses instead of addressing our concerns. The food was outstanding—some of the best Indian cuisine we’ve had—but the service and atmosphere were severely disappointing. 2/5 stars, as the poor service overshadowed the excellent food.

This Indian restaurant is located opposite Swansea Castle. The food was pretty good and standard for Indian cuisine. We had the butter chicken, prawn curry and some naan. The samosa chaat was very tasty and full of flavour. The service was a little bit slow and the food took a while to come out. Perhaps there were not enough staff for a busy evening. The service was still hospitable and friendly. Would come again.

We went with the rating of the restaurant. The food was average, the service was really slow. They charged us an exorbitant amount of 2 pounds just for some onions on the side. We have had food at best of Indian restaurants from the past 5 years in London including Dishoom. No one has ever charged 2 pounds for a small portion of onion. Really disappointed!

One for the he best tasting Indian food I have had outside of India. The service was a bit slow but that was due to the mad rush..the owners ensured that they didn’t compromise on the food quality though and we were given heads up right at the entry. When in Swansea this is definitely a must go.

Positives - food quality was good Negatives - one staff member was outright rude, staff forgot a lot of orders, took a lot of time to execute requests, and the buffet veggie samosas were switched to chicken samosas after we started our buffet leading both to lack of choice in veggie starters, and some veggie members eating meat by mistake - the staff knew that most of us were veggie but failed to give us a heads up that this was being changed. One of the veggie curries ran out and staff had to be requested twice to replenish it Overall - wouldn't go again because of the major service issues, despite food quality being good.

This place is simply the best for Indian food for some miles. Raj and his staff are the friendliest and most welcoming of people and you won't taste better food. The restaurant is tidy and modern and the service has been prompt every time I've visited.

From the moment we walked in didn’t feel welcome! What a disappointing sad night. Pre booked a table and was told we didnt. Stood at the doorway like an idiot for 2-3 minutes until finally confirmed we did. Took a life time to come to the table to take drinks order. Said sorry about the wait due to being busy when was half full and made eye contact and ignored numerous times. When finally arrived and ordered food took a life time to arrive and when did was cold and tasteless. Horrible experience even worse food, paid bill in full and wish in had walked out on them idiots. Wish I could give 0 stars!

The whole experience from start to finish was superb. The food was delicious and impeccably presented. We had lovely conversations with our waiters. Bathroom facilities were excellent too. Would highly recommend

1st visit was Sunday buffet, food was really good so we booked and tried the menu last night, food was really lovely, I usually stick to same thing but Raj suggested the butter chicken and I am glad I tried it, not spicy but not sweet, lovely flavours, ambience is good too, it's decorated lovely, service is very friendly, would recommend and we will be back.

The food was well seasoned 🤤 and flavourful. The interior was well decorated. The best biryani sauce i have tasted. Normally i don't like having the sauce cause i don't like how it tasted, but the waiter who took our order forgot to take it out(i told the waiter not to include it) oh my! am glad he did forget 🤤😄.

Great food I have had for very long time in wales we normally comes every year in Skanda wales it’s hour away but food is best and amazing .

We saw good reviews and wanted to try their food. Unfortunately I was not very happy. We checked the board outside which was displayed regarding the buffet. We were asked to be seated, there was only one staff member who was serving. When we asked for water it was delayed for such a long time. No proper management. We checked the buffet menu, though it would be good to give it a try. The taste was just ok. Not a large selection of menu. We were not satisfied, so we ordered biryani separately. It was much better. So I would suggest a la carte instead of a buffet. There is no desert in the buffet which makes it incomplete. Thank you for your response. Just to clarify, we did not specifically ask for vegetarian options—you can check the picture of the chicken biryani we ordered. Also, the restaurant was about half full when we arrived, so there may have been some confusion, as our group of five might have been mistaken for someone else. There was a group of students who entered after us and choose buffet over al la carte. So we did not arrive at the end. I do understand that the buffet is reasonably priced, and my intention here is to provide feedback, not to engage in a debate. I hope this feedback is helpful, and I look forward to a more positive experience on our next visit. Best regards

What a fabulous restaurant! Everything we had was so flavourful and presented beautifully. Portions were generous and paired with really reasonable pricing. Staff were all polite and helpful and service was quick. Had all the comfort of a classic Indian meal but with touches that took to it that extra fine dining feeling (but without the price tag). Lovely little India restaurant not far from the main shopping area of Swansea. Food was tasty and flavoursome. I have the pulled tandoori chicken Bryiani and it was a huge portion and very good.

This. This is authentic Indian food 🤌🏼🤌🏼 Biryani was fresh, had good flavour and not dry. They made the sauce spicy for me and dropped in some poppadom and chutney for free. Definitely gonna go to his cooking class..

Excellent food and atmosphere and loved the fact that the owner and chef check everything is okay with your food. I will definitely be returning for lunch to try out some more street food . Delicious, tasty and very well presented.
