Great coffee and friendly staff, the cakes looked amazing which is why I'll be back.

We didn't have any food but the coffee is outstanding. It's a shame we don't have one up in Derbyshire.

Great coffee shop, staff are always pleasant and kind. Only downfall is that you don't sell any savouries, only cake which isn't great as diabetic, however your coffee is better than Costa in my opinion.

Was looking forward to trying here but unfortunately the whole experience was ruined due to the member of staff shouting at my children soon as we walked in for sitting on what they thought was a chair (i couldn’t even tell myself) the staff member could have politely let us know it wasn’t a chair but instead shouted bluntly scaring my children (the staff member even said one of the pieces of furniture already had been broken before due to someone mistaking it for a chair so it is obviously an easy mistake for somebody to make for even an adult let alone a child) the whole atmosphere in there was cold & unwelcoming. Really disappointing. To add to your below comment “They also mentioned that you had already acknowledged that the furniture was a table and had advised your child not to climb on it, your child again climbed on the table and this is where our staff member felt appropriate to make a comment” This is entirely false & I’m absolutely appalled at this claim from your staff member blaming my children for her behaviour. If this was the case I wouldn’t have complained as if that was the situation then I wouldn’t have felt the need to complain, I did not acknowledge that the furniture was a table as we had barely walked through the door when this incident happened nor did I or their grandmother even get a chance to tell my children as your member of staff shouted before I even had a chance to turn around & it would have been more suitable to kindly inform us that the furniture was a so called “table” (it looks like a stool) & find it utterly unprofessional from yourselves to put the blame on two children under the age of 10 which were scared to death & have never been spoken to like that instead of taking responsibility for your staff’s unwelcoming behaviour and as your staff member told us it has happened before so maybe some thing to think about if other customers are unable to differentiate between something that should be very obvious. I have never felt the need to write a bad review for an establishment before but I am absolutely disgusted.

All very expensive, went in for a cup of tea and a snack but when the price of tea was nearly twice as much as Gower price I thought twice.

Great place with amazing coffee. Coming from Bristol where there are about nine coffee shops on my high street the flat white I had here was incomparable. Also fantastic with dogs 😃

This is amazing coffee! Best coffee we’ve had in the area by miles. It’s our regular now. Cool and cosy decor too. Selections of cakes are great. Wish they served some savoury food like toasties.

Brilliant little spot, usual top quality coffee that you can expect from any Coaltown site, super friendly and knowledgeable staff that know how to make a proper specialty cup of coffee. Enjoyed a flat white with their ‘bloom’ espresso, delicious! Take away this time but have also sat in, dog friendly as well which wins with me every time!!

I drink a lot of coffee in many coffee shops/espresso bars and this is by far my favourite! Everybody is extremely friendly and knowledgeable in the coffee they make and sell. Consistency is spot on every time without fail. If you want a proper coffee in a great atmosphere with impeccable service, please try Coaltown Pontarddulais, you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely tasting coffee and lovely atmosphere but no Internet there to pop on for a work meeting. Lots of merch but was hoping for more selection on coffee size, syrups and choices.

Good coffee and small selection of cakes biscuits. Modern minimalist decor etc and friendly efficient barista staff. Well situated on site of the former King pub, next to newly opened Co-op. Good addition to local facilities.

Great to have Coaltown in the Bont. Have ordered plenty of their coffee online over the last few years and made plenty of visits to Ammanford but now only being a 5 minute walk from home is awesome. Always great coffee, have been enjoying a cortado or 2 lately and excellent cakes. Well worth a visit

Nice enough coffee, I purchased a flat white, cappuccino and a slice of cake. The coffees I personally felt weren't good value for money, very small cups(about one an a half mouth full) and at three pound fifty each I shan't be returning, also no choice of sizes. The cake was again quite nice but a bit pricey and the buttercream just tasted like a slab of butter. Staff were very welcoming and polite with a nice atmosphere inside

Been going to the Ammanford one for years went to work from the new one and found it lovely staff very friendly and still the good coffee I've come to know! Would be amazing if WiFi was installed though I have 2 phones both on different networks and there was no signal so I wasn't actually able to work from there properly

First visit to this establishment in my local area. Needed a mortgage for a coffee here and declined the offer of cake by the server due to not wanting a cardiac arrest over the price. £3.80 for a latté!, most expensive coffee flavoured milk I have ever encountered. Pontarddulais you are mind, not central London. I'm all for supporting local businesses but not when your prices are excessive. Even my bank manager rang me after the payment went through to check I hadn't been scammed. Pleasant staff and decor but the coffee was very mediocre. I realise I was not forced in to the establishment at gunpoint and did not have to pay the high prices but I wanted to see what all the hype was about and quickly realised the hype was not all it was cracked up to be. Final point. Not a fan of the glasses of brown sugar on the tables either to sweeten your drinks with, not very hygienic and can easily be contaminated.

A wonderful coffee shop with a lively atmosphere! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, all upbeat and welcoming. The drinks are excellent, I had a chai tea latte and a friend had an oat milk latte. We both thoroughly enjoyed. We will be returning. 😊

Fantastic coffee shop, coffee superb, cakes to die for and staff go above and beyond. My friends and I visited today and loved it. Thank you Coaltown for coming to Pontardulais helping our beautiful village become an even nicer place to live.

Tried this little gem, coffee was lovely and cake was a delight.

Great new addition to Pontarddulais. Great coffee look forward to many more visits. I would suggest offering alternatives to whole milk that aren’t dairy alternatives to cater for a wider customer base.

Only just opened but will be coming here very often. Cake was amazing and loved the lemonade and lovely service. Gorgeous interior as well!

The staff here are what really make the place. The customer service is amazing, and it’s always a friendly personal experience. The coffee is great and they’ve got the best cakes around! Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
