The best restaurants in Gower Swansea South Wales

Un amigo llama a esto su lugar feliz, y eso es todo en pocas palabras. Hermosa zona de estar al aire libre, soleando un pub de pueblo perfecto. El pub no ha reabierto hace mucho tiempo la nueva casera es brillante, nada es demasiado problema. Una excelente opción de cervezas, café brillante, este es el lugar perfecto para un día de verano perezoso. Realmente daría más estrellas pero solo 5 disponibles.

It is great to see this pub reopening following a sporadic few years of not knowing if it was closed or open. The new owners Rich & Barbara have now been re-opened for several weeks and are doing a great job rejuvenating the venue. Whilst the Bar area is relatively unchanged, retaining its old-world charm, a room adjacent to the bar has been opened up and fitted with a pool table and Darts board. At the rear of the premises is a sheltered re-furbished terrace area which leads onto a fabulous enclosed Beer Garden overlooking the estuary with small fenced off children’s play area. Adjacent to this is a car park with additional overspill parking. There’s a good selection of lagers & Ciders ( Madri / Carling / Moretti / StaroPramen ) but for my husband it’s with the real ales that this pub excels – There’s 3 taps ( a 4th will shortly be installed ) with the following beers being rotated over past few weeks:- Butty Bach /HPA / London Pride / Timothy Taylor Landlord / Proper Job / Crouch Vale-Yakima Gold . Food wise -There’s fresh hand made Rolls and sandwiches and Toasties available. For me -this is the best and most welcoming pub in Gower in addition to being Dog friendly.

Great place for food and coffees. We had the lunchtime offer of 2 pizzas, bottle of pop and 2 cakes fur £28. Super friendly staff, good quality food and great coffee

Teníamos 3 tazas de té, una lata de gaseosa y 2 porciones de pescado y patatas, que llegó a 15 libras, que no creo que fue una mala relación calidad-precio. Especialmente como el pescado y patatas fritas fue claramente preparado a pedido, recién porciones de tamaño decente y absutely delicioso. Personal amable que parece que se preocupan verdaderamente si sus clientes disfrutan de su comida. La numeración de las mesas de afuera sin ayuda cuando los pedidos están saliendo de la cocina

Not worthy of a Michelin star. Visited for dinner, 8 courses. Only the canapés and the venison were good. Everything else was bland, uninspired, and ridiculously over seasoned to the point you could barely taste the food over the salt. My tongue felt burnt after it due to the amount of salt, which required copious amounts of water to get back to a state of hydration. The service was poor as well. Empty bread baskets and side plates sat on the table until course 5 of 8, as were the bread crumbs until even later, only being brushed off ready for dessert. I was constantly asked whether I wanted more wine; they didn't seem to listen to me first time when telling them no, I was driving. We couldn't leave fast enough at the end.

Mothers day Sunday roast lamb sat outside in the sun, glorious. Very dog friendly and welcoming.

A great accidental find for us whilst out on a bike ride. Riding down the hill into the village saw a load of flags and a car park in the valley below. Worked our way to the area which is the Gower Heritage Centre, adjacent to which is the bakery. Wow, we had the BLT focaccia (tomato content had superb flavour) and almond pan au chocolat also excellent. This was only a small park of the range on offer. Refuelled us for the next uphill stretch. Excellent fare

Best Sunday lunch we have had in a long time, could not fault anything, would highly recommend, good food good service and good prices

Lovely ambience overlooking Carmarthen Bay. Great service and tasty panini. Service with a smile even though they were very busy. Highly recommend.

We had a delicious evening meal with excellent service. It was so good two of us returned the next day for another meal. The very tasty fish dishes are beautifully prepared and presented. The meal was good value too. Highly recommended.

What an amazing time we had, food fantastic, accommodation amazing, but the best part was the staff, FANTASTIC, helpful attentive and nothing was too much trouble and soooo friendly, if you want an amazing time I recommend The King Arthur

We enjoyed a delicious Lamb Sunday Roast with the best homemade Yorkshire Puddings we’ve ever tasted. A lovely atmosphere in this cosy and historic “inn” located in a special place on the Gower Peninsula with spectacular views of Carmarthen Bay: The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The homemade desserts are strongly recommended..our favourites: The Sticky Toffee Pudding and the Vanilla Cheesecake with Mango Sorbet. Thank you for an unforgettable experience…we will be back!!

Great food, location and staff. A bit slow on the ordering but that's because it's was busy. Far better the the worms head hotel.

Great place for a sunny afternoon, beautiful seating down by the ford. We suffered two punctures so stopped off to find an inner tube at the bike shop. We were disappointed to find the bike shop was closed so we instead bought some of the fantastic ciders and set about with a puncture repair kit instead. The cider made it worth the stop!
