After a long walk through the woods and down to the beach on a hot day the café was a welcome sight. We found a table with a great view and my partner had a very good coffee. I was about to chose a cold fizzy drink from a can when I noticed a sign that read 'Homemade Mint and Lemon Iced Tea' and selected that instead. It was excellent. The price for two drinks was reasonable, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly, with a large number of different places to sit, both indoors and out. We plan a return visit very soon.

What a fantastic little cafe. Being just a short hop from the current route of the coast path it is ideal for walkers to call at. (In fact, it would be worth timing your walk just to make sure you pass by during opening hours!) When we visited, there was a lovely welcome from the staff and an amazing array of homemade cakes to choose from. Our cakes were enjoyed along with a pot of tea, sitting in the garden and admiring the amazing view of the estuary. With the lovely little craft shop to see too, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Possibly the best view on gower overlooking whitford sands. the sponge was the best I've ever had bud sadly the coffee just didn't match up... quite grainy and lacked in flavour sadly. would certainly give it another go. reason for 3 stars is purely down to the coffee... i mean if you went to a steak house and didn't enjoy the steak you'd have to score them down.

Calm, peaceful and relaxed! We had a lovely lunch here with our 2year old. Service was warm and welcoming plus all social distancing measures in place. We arrived for 12pm on a Sunday and there was plenty of space however by 1pm customers were queuing to wait for a seat and it was becoming quite busy. We ordered Paninis, coffee and cake and all was very good and served quickly, very reasonably priced and they accept card payments plus there is a customer toilet. Views were breathtaking could have sat there all day. Would definitely visit again.

We stopped here for refreshment while exploring the Cym Ivy Nature Reserve. It's a small cafe and gallery in a garden with a terrace offering stunning views out over the saltmarsh. There was a good selection of delicious cakes, with vegan and gluten free choices. The chocolate brownie (GF) was excellent, and the pineapple and cinammon cake (vegan) lovely and moist. Really great coffee, and a range of teas. The proprietor, Sian, was friendly and welcoming. The food was very reasonably priced, and the cafe clean, nicely decorated, and a spotless toilet at the end of the garden. A very welcome find. Opening hours are restricted in late season, and not open in the winter, so do check first.

The cafe is a wonderfully welcoming environment, both from the staff and the cheerful and characterful decor. My mum and I sat on decking overlooking fields, woods, salt marsh and dunes and sea in the distance; bathed in sun for me, but shade for my mum. Our labradoodle, Merlin was made welcome. The tea and cakes were all home made and delicious. The lemon drizzle cake was light, the gluten-free chocolate brownie was smooth and melted in the mouth. Not at all dry. There were very reasonably-priced plants for sale. The whole experience was wonderfully soothing and therapeutic after a stressful time at work. I'd definitely go back whenever I get the chance.

Called in here whilst walking; although it was late September it was warm and sunny and we were able to sit out in the garden with an amazing view of the marshes (& wildlife) and the estuary and hills beyond. Its set in someones garden with plenty of indoor seating in wooden chalet type seating; dogs and muddy boots are welcome which is always a good sign. The coffee was excellent, it took a while to make but I gather it was made from scratch so that was understandable. My husbands cake was excellent, my scone not the very freshest I've had but in no way poor enough to mark the whole place down. On our visit the loo was out of action and had been replaced by the most scrupulously clean Portaloo I have ever been in. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return on another visit.

We were driving around Gower Peninsular on a particularly wet and dreary day, needed somewhere to pull in for a coffee. You do have to park around 100 yards away from the cafe, which in heavy rail is not ideal, but it is worth it....very nice cakes available and would be a wonderful view on a nice day. The only negative is that the only loo is a "portaloo" situated about 4 yards from outside eating area, which I must admit I would not feel comfortable using if the tables were occupied!!

Lovely little cafe on the way to the beach from Llanmadoc. The only thing I'd say is the road leading to it is very steep & the parking is half way down the hill. The road ends at the bottom. Driving along the north side of the Gower Peninsular, I can across a brown sign saying 'Cwm Ivy Cafe and Crafts'. In the need for refreshments on a very hot day, off we went. Parked in the field and it was a short walk down to the cafe where we were 'greeted' by a small garden centre, craft shop with a 'grumbling grannie' ( on her apron!! ) selling wonderful hand made dresses ( the 2 dresses in one dress were a bargain ) and tea room shack. With inside tables for the rainy or extremely hot Gower days and tables outside with some overlooking, in the distance, the Burry Inlet, we spent a happy 2 hours drinking ( coffee, as I was driving! ) chatting to fellow 'foreigners'. What a grand 2 hours it was. The cakes looked very tempting as did the food but we were on a diet. Do not miss Cwm Ivy Cafe as it deserves many more clients.

A good range of tea, coffee, and cakes. All well presented and served. Special mention to the scones with cream and jam.

We happened upon this place by chance but it was the perfect place for a cream tea to start our walk and a welcome coffee afterwards.

After planning a walk to finish at the cafe, we found that the cafe was closed. No apology and even a sign on the road to say that it was open! I have now been on their facebook page and found that it says they are open on a Monday until 5 p.m. We arrived at about 2.30 p.m.

This place is fab - we were gasping after walk around nearby forest light house and beach. Stopped for coffee and cake and the views over the woods are breath taking. Good drinks. Cakes even better - lemon drizzle was brill. The outside Loo in a wooden hut is fab as well. Drop in you will love it.

My partner and his family visited in November. We were made to feel very welcome. Great ales on tap. We were lucky enough for them to let us eat a takeaway in there as the restaurant we planned to go to had double booked which was very kind of them. We had a great night and was so privileged to hear Hermione the bar manager sing in a cappella an Irish folk tune. Wow we couldn't hear a pin drop when she sang. It literally took my breath away. Definitely recommend this place and we will definitely revisit .

I have waited several weeks before writing this. I rarely post negative reviews, particularly not for small independent venues. But the price of 2 pieces of cheese on toast costing £10.95 is still irritating me. I didn’t look at the bill until sitting back down and my bank account flashed up the amount. I went back to the counter and asked if this was correct. Then to add insult to injury, we had nearly finished our coffees and my wife went to the counter to check where the cheese on toast was. No apology from the staff, and they said it was waiting in the kitchen as they couldn’t remember what table ordered it. You would expect sour dough bread or some, artisan crafted speciality bread and a fine local Welsh mature cheddar for this price. What we received was big standard supermarket sliced brown bread and a meagre layer of big standard supermarket cheese, that barely covered the cardboard toast. It was now barely tepid and ranks as the worst and most expensive cheese on toast we have ever had. Our cake was good but I overpriced, and the coffee was OK, but no where near as good as numerous other coffee shops in Swansea. Positives are: venue is nice and clean, staff friendly but somewhat dopey. It’s a shame they demolished my old school Ty-Coch. I am sure the catering ladies would have done a better job

As a paying visitor, me and my friends were disrespected and humiliated in front of other paying visitors. Dave Jones the captain came over to us and started questioning our clothes even though I have had no issues at every other golf club in Swansea. Also, there were people dressed in clothes a lot worse than ours but he did not bat an eye lid just because we were juniors. I was considering getting a membership but after the disrespect I received I will not be returning to this golf club.

Called in for a coffee, but had to have a cake too as they all looked fab… and it was.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal with my husband. The most delicious Welsh pork belly! The cheeseboard was also lovely. Would recommend visiting this lovely pub.
