Being fairly new to the area this bakery is a superb find. Beautiful iced birthday cake, Chocolate fudge sponge and Christmas cake superbly finished and delicious. Thank you very much, will be regular customers x

Went in for first time today about 2pm, despite passing many times. It seemed a bit intimidating as it appears a 'drinkers pub'. However the service was great and after getting over the feeling of being watched it was great. Was a beautiful spring day with a chilly wind but the beer garden is sheltered and the rear area was a real suntrap. Thoroughly enjoyed it. No idea what it's like in the evenings or weekends though.

Recently moved in down the hill from this pub and have wanted to stop for a drink ever since . Today we stopped in and so glad we did. Such a warm welcome from the owner. A traditional, warm welcoming atmosphere. Bonus was the park opposite for the kids. I look forward to visiting again soon and hopefully for food next time.

Perfect place to eat and drink. We came here for the a lunchtime meal in the week and it was absolutely perfect such an idyllic setting with friendly staff and lovely food can’t wait to come Here again x x

Had a takeaway recently from here. Quality of food was so poor, felt like it has been waiting for us for 1 week in a fridge. Aftertaste is horrible. I hope I wouldn’t get any stomach disease after a bite. You can’t serve food like that

Got a takeaway which is reasonable value and the food was quite ok. Note it is cash only. I suspect they use monosodium glutamate as I had the usual hunger pangs after eating their food. The takeaway that I collected was a little bit cold and the meat was a bit tough however after reheating it, it softened up. Collection in person should get a 15% discount.

Booked an afternoon tea for 2 . I would not recommend very basic and very small , 3 plain finger sandwiches . 1 scone ,1 welsh cake ,I fruit cake ... each of these contained dried fruit. 1 small macaroon. All cakes appeared shop bought. Only seen staff when they brought a pot of tea to the table . Very disappointing, will not return or recommend
