I don't know if the chips were reheated from the previous day or afternoon, but it was a tough task to eat, dry is not the word. I would have had an easier ride eating some cream crackers without a drink. On the plus side portion size was great, the chicken fried rice, chicken balls and beef in satay sauce was nice. Food arrived hot, chips were piping hot (Possibly a blast in the micro before they left the shop). I did make a request to swap out the sweet and sour to a curry but that didn't happen.

I'm so fussy when it comes to food and I never leave reviews , but I've never had a bad meal from big and tasty , the barbecue sauce is to die for , and the sweet chilli ribs 😋 , always hot and fresh, and these guys know how to cook a good Chinese 👍

Always big, always tasty and always on time. The only Chinese takeaway I'd use in Ponty.

Was suggested this place over a year ago by a neighbour and I’ve never ordered Chinese from anywhere else does a lovely crispy chicken and the spring rolls are delicious might be a bit more expensive than others but tbh I don’t mind for the amount and quality you get it’s well worth it

This is our go to Chinese in ponty and the chicken balls, fried rice, noodles and Hong Kong style chicken we ordered via just eat on 29th July was delicious and delivered to us piping hot. I would highly recommend this place.

Took the order and never arrived after an hour and half and two phone calls, if they couldn’t complete the order they shouldn’t have accepted it.

For the 4th time in a row Big & Tasty don't deliver my complimentary dishes. My order tonight was £36 plus delivery charge. As I did not receive my complimentary prawn crackers with my previous 3 orders (despite phone calls reminding them) I put a note on my order tonight but alas still no complimentary spring rolls as per the website. I've been using Big & Tasty for many years but just feel they do not appreciate their customers so will find a new Chinese takeaway for my custom.

My family are of Chinese heritage, so I know what I'm talking about when I say majestic Chinese food! Bit on the pricey side, but worth it I suppose.

ordered food last night and now have staph food poisoning from the people who work there, poor personal hygiene is what causes the disease and gets passed on from touching food and not washing your hands , shocking place , should be shut down. i ordered a tray of chips, chicken balls and egg fried rice X2 , one with curry sauce and spring rolls , around 8pm , a woman served me over the counter with my auntie and partner

I phoned up to order and the women was nice and polite but when my food was delivered the delivery driver was rude. When I asked how much it was cus I didn't hear him properly he shouted the he gave me a horrible moody look but on the plus side the food was nice and hot

Standard takeout place for my family, quality is consistent, especially good salt and chilli options. Good times on delivery usually early. Cash only for calling in person I believe, called in yesterday on the way home (as opposed to normally ordering online)

Had my first order last night although it was a 1 1/2 hr before it turned up and then they forgot my pomadoms but after i rang them the driver came back with them. It was well worth it Good size potions and hot and tasty, i will be knocking my old Chinese on the head after using them for years.

Absolutely disgusting food everything was cold my friend was 10p short from what they bought then I ordered a bottle of coke that was £2.90 I gave the lady £3 and she goes thanks and bye didn’t bother to give me Change stood there for 10 minutes for a couple of them to look at me and walk back into the kitchen there attitude was disgusting never going there again

Food ordered for quarter to 6 I received it 25 past 6 phoned the shop not interested In what I have to day our meal was cold Disgusting service for a 25 pounds not going there again

Take away friendly staff usual menu of curries rice,noodles chicken and beef meals

The entire meal was absolutely amazing non of the food was greasy at all, the crispy beef was lovely and crispy, curry was so good, Big & Tastely will be our usual from now on

Didn't get to try it. Walked all the way down there and they were closed despite the Google page saying they were open

Ordered through just eat ,but never confirmed or delivered took over an hour to be told that actually there was a technical issue and reorder, well NO I will not reorder, ive done 12 hour shift and back in work tomorrow bearing in mind the clocks go forward so I'll have to be up an hour earlier at 4am not 5am . I will not order from big tasty or just eat again and this is not the first time I've had trouble with delivery times from these guys. And I didn't wait an hour to contact you ,I contacted you 40 minutes after I put the order in ,but that was after I had contacted just eat after 10 minutes and they said it will take 15 minutes to come ,so when it got to 40 minute I contacted you .

This place is an absolute joke,ordered my food and paid for it on just eat.got told delivery was for 19.20 pm they rang said it would be late then cancelled my order with out ringing and confirming with me,will never try ordering from here again.

The RUDEST customer service I have ever received. The app told us it was accepted and the order was placed. This was at 5:30. The order said it would be here at 6:45 over an hour later (8 o clock now) no sign of food, baring in mind we have ordered from this place before and we call the shop. The app said that our food was delivered which it wasn’t. We called and they said they never accepted our order. They did or it wouldn’t be saying delivered. My dad called and was rudely hung up on after nicely trying to explain what’s happening. Then she hung up on me. I’ve had a long day today so I decided to call back to be hung up on again and told multiple times that they don’t deliver to my address but have done before, that they never accepted the order, even though it went through even though I have emails and screenshots of the accepted order. Still have no refund yet and it’s now 8 o clock and will have to sort something for us to eat now. She hung up on me a total of 3 times. I will admit the last time I may have had an attitude. If I could give less than one star I would. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.

Great tasting food, friendly staff but a little expensive.

Ordered from here a few times, it's a little pricey other than that the foods always hot and it's delicious!, I would definitely recommend people to at least try this place.

Always have amazing food here. So tasty and portions are fab. The owner always makes sure her customers are happy. Never order anywhere else. Kids love it too.

Apparently this place is owned and run by the former owners of the Oriental Buffet that had many a successful year down Pontypridd, if This is true then it makes perfect sense because the food, the service, the price and the quick delivery go hand in glove!. The food at oriental buffet was very much fantastic and flavoursome,as is this!. I have nothing but praise and positive feedback for This place all round!. fantastic value for 💰, excellence in taste and a swift effective service (delivery included!). 5stars! Spot on 👌

Ordered via just eat delivery took 1.5hrs food arrived freezing cold and missing items

Went there, and my meal was ready in less than 2 minutes. The food is tasty and the portions are large. I definitely recommend it.

The main meal was excellent, piping hot and very tasty and highly recommended But the chips are diabolical, they were so dry and rubbery we couldn't eat them , they were vile.

Not a good place to have a takeaway from. The food was lukewarm or cold prawn crackers was all smashed. For the amount we spent it was awful. Won't use it again

My favourite Chinese takeaway by far the food is always consistent very tasty and great value with fast delivery also 10 per sent off the price on orders over the phone and on line on top of that the more you spend the more you get free

A little bit disappointed this time,normally food is awesome but this time the chips were cold,hard andmostly scraps.rest of the food was lovely as usual.

The use to own the oriental buffet and we loved it there thank god they opened a take away instead !! It’s the best quality you could possibly have around here all fresh !! And the owner Queenie is super lush !! We love her to bits .. highly recommend them !!!!

Would give zero stars if possible took our order said 45 min after it was 25 min late we phoned they said 20 min, 10 min after we phoned we received a tx saying our food would be a further 40 min and asked if we wanted it or a refund when we phoned to queary we was told they was quiet when we put order in but other orders came in and they became to busy to deliver our food as they deliver by distance

Never will i order from here again my order wasnt right i didnt even have the right food and refused my money back STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS SHOP DISGUSTING

Only gave 1 star as there is no option for 'no stars'. Delivery was quick but food was vile, and will definitely not return
