Laal Mirchi in Rhondda Cynon Taf

Had a takeaway which we had delivered. Ordered 3 garlic rice but on opening one of the garlic rice was missing. We rang the shop and they informed that they had only two down on their order. We just assumed they had misheard us when we placed the order. In all fairness, they asked did we want them to deliver another but been as all the other food was already with us, we informed them not to bother as the rest would have gone cold whilst we waited; and as they had informed they only had two on their order we also assumed we hadn’t paid for it. After eating our meal we decided to check the prices as we thought the bill had been a bit steep. Using the prices on their online site we discovered they had charged for the rice that we did not receive alongside a £2.80 delivery charge which we did not mind. The food was lovely but just wanted to leave this review for people to be aware and to double check their order and the price before placing their order. I also checked the latest menu for the prices just in case there had been a price increase and they hadn’t yet updated their website; but other than an increase in 3 of the meals coming to 55p in total, the menu stated the same prices as they were online. We will order from them again and hopefully their customer service will be as good as their food which they can evidence with a complimentary rice dish next time.

The food was amazing. Service was 10/10, staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked for extra spice, chef made sure food was perfect to meet our taste. They gave us some free food and drink as it was our first time there. Thank you so much, if we come back to Wales will definitely visit.

Very poor , didn't enjoy at all , the prawns were like rubber ( both curries ) fries not chips . Not much taste on the curry , papadoms weren't crispy . Delivery was good , sadly will not be ordering from there again .

Amazing food and quick delivery

We have had takeaways from last mirchi for a few years and they have always been good. Tonight we had midweek special 3 and it was lush. Thanks all, much better this time.

Ordered 5 curries and various side dishes. The 3 lamb dishes were inedible due to gristle and poor meat quality. No flavour on any of the dishes including naan bread, rice and mushroom Bhaji. The only positive was our dog liked the poppadoms but he will eat anything. Delivery service was good but we will definitely not order again.

Have been a loyal customer for many years. Unfortunately, the last couple of meals have been disappointing, but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered again. But this was the last time I will order from them, most dishes now have very little meat and are instead filled with onions or spinich. Our prawn dish had just two prawns in it! which Is one more than last time I ordered!!. Save your money and go to asda to get an Indian box meal, you'll get more for your money.

Laughing at some of these reviews. "I ordered a Jalfrezi and it had too many chillis" This is the problem when folk's idea of a curry is the one they bought in Morrisons or Tesco. A Jalfrezi contains chillis... that's actually the whole point of the dish. "My curry was swimming in grease". Again, a proper curry contains a fair amount of oil which is one reason it tastes nice. Or, pour it away. Or stick with your bland supermarket offering!

Not very good, I'm afraid. The food was very bland. Was charged like a wounded bull. The price on the "New" menu was totally different from what was quoted on the phone. I'd rather drag my balls over broken glass than get food from there again. Sorry, but I'm just being honest. Thank you

Been having t/a from here for last three years as I live quite close. Always had stunning meals piping hot too! Always on the ball and I can't understand the unfavourable reviews at all. Been eating Indian food for over 50 years and in my opinion is one of the best T/A in the area!

I complained 3 weeks ago about the quality of the food, had free meal the Monday that was good. We been loyal customers. They even done our wedding food. But can I just say had food from there again tonight, bloody awful 😖. Chicken jalfrezi, ( black pepper and vile hot taste). Thankfully we had nan bread,, that's all we could eat. I'm not gonna be in any rush to ever return!!!!

Had lamb pasanda chicken biryani with massala sauce peshawar nan poppadoms and chutney. Food was outstanding the lamb was really tender and everything was spot on. Prices are very reasonable too. First time using Laal Mirchi definitely not the last.

Tried to make a order which I normally do over the phone for collection to be told have to go there to order and wait Ummmm no it’s freezing in there to wait

Just received take away for 3, chips weren't cooked, freezing cold, ordered 1 onion bargi, received 4, can see why they were like leather probably off loading surplus, never again as most of it went in bin, what a waste of £40

This is the best take away in Aberdare . We had chicken tikka and it was absolutely delicious . If you haven't tried the food here then your really missing out . Polite friendly staff , and absolutely spotlessly clean I would recommend this take away and give 5 stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I forgot to mention the chips and salad we had, we enjoyed every minute of our meal Thank you

Food ok and not much for your money! I'd compare it to tescos meal for 2 except tescos was 3 x cheaper

Food delicious and hot but arrived after 1 hour 45 mins .It appears s that the manager had handed the food over after er a wait of well over 1 hour .My advice..Don't bother! (I certainly won't order again)

This indian is the best ever I moved up to aberdare from Cardiff tried lots of different Indians but this takes some beating really spot on the flavours in the curry are amazing you need to try it if you haven't

Second time having food from here and it never disappoints..I had the tandoori platter and it was absolutely stunning I really enjoyed it ,chicken was succulent and full of flavour of the tandoori spices ..the korma was creamy and again chicken cooked beautifully highly recommend this takeaway we definitely be having again and it definitely hit the spot after a 12 hour shift thank you so much

Naan bread burnt,unable to eat,chips tough went straight into bin,rest of meal edible.as far as I am concerned complete waste of £51.50 and a Friday night treat.

Give this a place a try tonight after a long break and these guys have really upped they game,which they needed too alongside other 2 indian takeaways.South indian garlic chilli chicken to die for and definitely returning for the same again soon,dont know if the meat has become tender though.Recent reviews here have definitely improved also

Update after 4 orders: This place really is great, consistent high quality food happy to alter dishes from the menu, friendly delivery staff. The name of the restaurant means something along the lines of Hot chilli and it lives up to its name! If you can't handle it order a makhani, deliciously fragrant and slightly sweet. Not sure where these bad reviews are coming from, if you can't take the spice order a korma. What a fantastic service! Friendly and helpful on the phone, delivery guy was lovely and the food was immense! By far the finest Indian takeaway I've had for a long time. The Currys were amazing. Naga chicken was as hot as it's supposed to be. Rice was fragrant and delicious, chilli naan had proper slices of chilli. Really good selection of vegetarian options. Thank God we found this takeaway!!! Can't wait to work my way through the menu. Don't believe the poor reviews, if you like your curry this is the place to get it from. Oh and they deliver to Maerdy. Top notch.

Normally have a lovely meal but have been put off as I had a prawn cocktail and prawns were gone off

Our first time ordering from here, tried it for a change, NEVER AGAIN! The curries were swimming in grease, no actual flavour just over powering spicy heat. The jalfrezi was inedible, far too many chillies and no taste. So disappointed in the entire meal, what a waste of £51.

Really disappointed - our first time trying this takeaway, as we were impressed by the array of dishes on offer on the menu that was posted through our door - Whilst the delivery time was spot on, the food in itself was edible, but really greasy, extremely salty and the types of curry we ordered weren’t reflected in the dishes we received. The vegetarian option was borderline inedible, due to the ridiculous amount of heat which wasn’t in line with the kind of curry we’d ordered and made a member of our party unwell for the rest of the night and the rest of the next day. Would not recommend, which is gutting as we were looking forward to finding a gem with Laal Mirchi, but were sadly let down on this occasion.

Excellent service, excellent meals

After purchasing a meal for my husband and myself. His food was tampered with to make it hotter. When phoning this was a joke. Not funny when you think we were paying good money for this.

This is the best Indian Takeaway ever. Always consistent in taste and quantity. My Wife and I are here every other weekend. Staff are marvellous too!

Well actually won our meal on a facebook promo for the restaurant and picked up the meal for two tonight, 10/4/19, it was fantastic, never had a meal from there before but I can honestly say this is our first of many, absolutely superb, well done guys.
