The best restaurants in Victoria Newport South Wales

We had the special menu for four. Absolutely beautiful food!! We’ve had many a take away from here over the years, and have never had a bad meal. Great value and welcoming, friendly family owners.

Expected high standards. Was in for a shock as I did not feel that the staff were attentive to even cared to ask us how our food was. I mean it’s good they didn’t because it was terrible.

God awful. Waited over 90 minutes for food when quoted 45-60. Wrong food received and frozen cakes… the attempt of putting salad on soggy bread was just sad

Played pool against the team, always enjoys going there, however being epileptic, if manager isn't there, I find it hard to go into the pub

Amazing place to watch all sport. Cheap drinks, great atmosphere especially on big game days. Will definitely be down there again.

Can't fault it! Always spot on. So tasty 😋 £9 for a chicken Donner wrap and it's huge.

Started eating here when I moved down the road. Food is always fresh and the meat sagg is stunning. I'd highly recommend the gt every time 👍👍👍

Not a patch on sen bbq (over the road) rice pudding like water (see picture) ordered the £56 platter everything tasted bland! Never again!

just had a fantastic meal with the wifey here. We had the hummus & platter no1 for 2 people. The food was fabulous and had to have some as a take out as there was that much. The young lady that served us couldn't do enough for us. The chef came over to say hi and he was really nice and was happy to explain what was in the sauces etc. Genuine people and wanted us to have a great experience and we did. Definatley going back. I would highly recommend.

Really disappointed. This WAS one of our favourite local sit downs as its only a few minutes walk from us and use it regularly. Went un tonight to find it has new owners. They don't serve any alcohol at all, we were told that we could go to the shop and bring our own in but its not the same. Nothing like a cold pint of cobra with your food as it was. We won't be using Tamarind Maindee again. I think your clientel list will drop rapidly. Such a Shame as we've had many a birthday party here 😔😪
