Golden Tandoori in Newport

Reasonably priced food and great menu variety. Quick service. Food very tasty and fresh. My favourite Indian in Newport.

Useless. Ordered a takeaway for delivery and they wait nearly thirty minutes before deciding to cancel our order. Maybe don't list on popular delivery apps if you can't cope with demand.

Love this place for its flavours and portion size. Easily one of the best chicken chaat purees I've ever had.

Ordered two different lamb or as they call it”meat” dishes on Saturday evening, both sauces were delicious but the meat was to tough and chewy to eat, extremely disappointing, Nan bread was also delicious but the shami kebab was very small and thin and the salad that came with it was extremely poor quality, not a cheap takeaway either and virtually all of it was binned!

Had a lovely meal from there, very tasty and excellent quality, really enjoyed it.

Chicken jalfrezi and chicken madras chips,bahjisand a paratha never fails always good and always scalding hot and reasonably priced, thanks GT and well done be back soon

Both curries were good plenty of chicken. Could have done with a bit more garlic on the nan bread

We ordered Lamb tikka madras and butter cream chicken with rice. Butter cream Chicken (supreme) was fantastic. Creamy silky smooth sauce was really god, rice was ok. Lamb tikka madras was average. Sauce does not have any identity, also lamb pieces was not tender, also lack of lamb is weak point of this dish. Delivery with uber was crazy slow but for buttercream chicken is worth to wait 😊

Tried couple of biryanis and Baltis... Good taste and quick service

I went here one evening as I used to visit when it was a restaurant a few years back and the food was disappointing. The starters were chewy and in the end binned. The main was ok but bland and much better options else where. Sad, but won’t be returning.

Had a prawn biriani it was tasteless, and very watery would not order from them again

Very dissapointed this time. Biriani was tastless. And the curry sauce that came with it was thin and tastless.

Our new go-to Indian takeaway in Newport. We've ordered twice so far and the food has been perfect – really flavourful, delivered hot and good value too.

My first time using this takeaway will definitely be using this takeaway again amazing food and very reasonable prices and delivery was amazing

Always piping hot and delicious

Was on a short trip to Newport and ordered from Golden Tandoori twice. The Tandoori Garlic Chilli Chicken was good and so was the Tandoori Chicken, but the real star was Tandoori Mirchi Mirch ------ Ultimate spicy and very well prepared. It's definitely not for the weak !! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Good work by the chef. Faster delivery as well.

We’ve been using this place on and off for about 15years!!! On the weekend we had my favourite chicken rogon josh and chi me madras I can honestly say it was the best one I’ve had from here !!! So fresh and the flavours were amazing . Thank you guys for great service .

Ordered via Uber eats and wasn't disappointed perfect Christmas Eva meal

Tried the food from this Indian restaurant last night for first time, although a little pricey the food was fantastic. I have been running out of places to go as either the food was inedible or they just don't listen when taking the order. The poppadoms didnt taste like they had been cooked in cold oil like some Indians we have been to. The chicken looked like it was off the bone, not in cubes. Fair play I will be using this restaurant again.

Fast and very nice delivered in less than an hour Top Class We enjoyed it top of the list to use again.

Use to be the best place to get curry but sadly in the last few months gone downhill food quality and taste is not longer what it use to be. Was a regular for years I will definitely not be going back.

What can I say outstanding again so much flavour in every single dish all fresh and hot no fault at all, The delivery was also 20 minutes quicker than we where told 10/10 you guys must try you won’t be disappointed

I've honestly never had a single thing to moan about this place. Again we had 4 separate entirely different meals and again each was superb. The madras is the best I've ever had and the karma rice is just as good. Bhajis and samosas are amazing. Everyone else agreed their meals were first class. I can't recommend the place enough. Try it you won't be disappointed. Trust me on this!!

Excellent food and very quick service

We had been told by a number of people that this takeaway was very good, so we tried it for the first time and were very impressed with the quality and quantity. We will definitely use this place on a regular basis.

Ordered from here from as long as I can remember, then stopped for a while as they weren't working with Just-Eat. They now are, so I'm back. Food is always delicious and really reasonably priced. No excessive delivery costs either. See you again soon!

Not enjoy at all. Garlic nan with no garlic and mint sauce with no mint. Curry very bland a disappointing meal

This is without doubt the best curry in Newport I order every other week a variety of meals and never had a bad one this place is excellent

Pedimos comida para llevar desde aquí una vez cada dos semanas en el trabajo. Un buen 10 de nosotros tienen comidas diferentes y todos comentan sobre lo bueno que la comida. Este es un logro en sí mismo como a 10 chicos que todo algo de orden diferente es duro im de trabajo seguro. También Recibimos un montón de extras gratis por el orden grande que va un largo camino con nosotros. Prueba este lugar y que nunca ir a otro lugar donde prometo ya.

When my wife and I have a curry we always choose this restaurant because over the years we have never had a bad meal,beautifully cooked and presented what more could you ask for.

Order anything off their menu and you wont be disappointed! Since my first take-away from here ive never gone anywhere else. Superb grub and reasonably priced. Give it a try, you'll thank me for it, lol.
