Pizza La Rosa in Newport

Me and my partner ordered from here tonight, and the food was absolutely delicious, it came fresh and hot and with everything as it should be , the delivery was fast and the driver was lovely , 100% recommend

We ordered our food but it never arrived. We are waiting to see if we can get a refund for this. When we first called they said they are busy. When we called again they said it was out for delivery. When we called again they didn't know where our food was and all of a sudden not able to converse in English anymore. Don't waste your time or money.

I've tried countless pizza places in my life, but [Pizza la rosa is truly a cut above the rest. Their crust is perfectly crispy on the outside, yet soft and chewy on the inside. food is okay but delivery driver keeps texting me this is highly unprofessional and its weird considering i am only 16 i feel uncomfortable and unsafe and I will not be ordering from here again

After an issue yesterday and me the cancelling the order, owner was very apologetic and fixed the issue, food very good quality and filling, and warm upon delivery

ordered a takeout pizza arrived in time . had a meal deal chilli chicken pizza with chips drink n a tub of garlic dip. I just thought the pizza was average the chips weren't the best didn't like the garlic dip overall for me personally it was just average. UPDATED REVIEW gave this place another go after trying it a long time back not sure if it's changed owner's but recently have had friends advising to give it a go.. was glad I did cheese and tomato pizza with extra cheese and sauce was too good also the popcorn chicken was on point good size portion good value for money and the customer service was great very hospitable brother will deff be going back 👍🏽

Great food and quick service by the staff.

We ordered a large amount of food from here. When the order arrived some of the order was missing. Upon ringing the store I was met with attitude from the person who answered the call. When the missing food finally arrived there were still items missing when I questioned the delivery driver he ignored me and carried on walking to his car. We shall not be ordering from here again or recommend them to anyone what a shambles.

This place has gone down hill massively. Waiting and hour and half for my food this just isn't acceptable and very poor customer service. I rang after abd hour and was told my food aint even left the shop. Wont be using again

My usual is a large cheese and tomato pizza with large chips. Pizza has been amazing. The best I've had from most of the places I've tried. Chips aren't bad, too. Also, they tend to cook things perfectly (well, exactly how I like it anyway). However, recently, there's been a number of issues...mainly with the pizza sauce. It's like they've forgotten the recipe and have been trying to recreate it, but just not hitting the right mark. Hopefully, they get this sorted soon as their sauce was what got me hooked. A few things I would advise when ordering (and definitely give them a go) ask for a little extra sauce (which they should really be doing), ask for it to be cooked a little extra (trust me on that one) and no bubbles (I think they've started doing that now for all, but ask anyway (this is when the dough starts to bubble up and forces everything off that part of the pizza)). I have tried other things, but they've named their shop with their main product...pizza, so get that for sure.

Twice I've ordered my food from here and bot times they've messed up and not delivered to my address. I've now been calling for over 30 minuets and no one is answering, disgraceful. Will not be ordering.

Ordered pizza deal with peporoni and olive pizza. Food was hot and chips were perfect. Pizza cheese and crust was great however the sauce of the pizza was very sweet for my liking and got sickly after a few slices.

Lush food, best in Newport. We had meat feast pizza and chips. Honestly so nice and filling. Garlic mayo also top tier

Pizza it self is lovely can’t fault it but took me over half an hour to order the food over the phone as they wasn't understanding what I wanted there English is very poor and plus I ordered 2 10 inch pizzas and it come to 22 pound I ordered than the same pizzas but 4 of them and 2 reg fries and it come to 60 pound which it doesn’t add up at all so yeah nice pizza but be careful as they make up there prices obviously and I suggest you go in the shop to order and not over the phone very very stressful

This place is so good, we had the calzone supreme, chilli cheese bites, and a raspberry shake and kinder bueno one and they were just perfect. The food was delicious, no grease, very filling and just a delight. Alhamdulillah The restaurant was very clean, tidy, smells very nice, calm atmosphere and very relaxed setting. It is a small dining space but it was like we was somewhere else. The service was excellent and we could see that everything was made fresh. And the gentleman providing the service was very kind and welcoming.

Lovely staff, clean shop, good pizza. Would be handy to know it's cash only when placing the order. If I went to pick up on my own I'd go hungry as I don't carry cash or cards! Just my phone to pay. Lucky I had someone with me that carries cards and went to the cashpoint around a corner. Had a small wait but pizzas were still warm when we got home!

Ordered a pizza with delivery, over a week ago. What can I say? Pizza (ham, pepperoni, 2x cheese) is one of the best I have tasted and tested in UK in the last 5 years. Bit of italian herbs and it would be the best. Food 4.9/5 Customer service - It was quite late on Sunday evening, around 22.30 or so when the order was placed, with delivery circa 23.30. Problem was, it was raining, it was windy as hell, typical Welsh weather ;). I have asked the driver to give me a missed call 3 mins prior to the delivery, as I live in a shared house and I wanted to meet him at the door.. Got that call, went down and I have waited for 10 mins in this bloody rain. Never showed up. Call after 5 mins, I came down again. As it happens, he was sitting all the time in his car, couple houses down the street. He saw me. Never moved his bottom. So between him getting close to the address and handing me the pizza, it was 15 mins or a bit more. I refused to accept a cold pizza (if you order food it is supposed to be hot, this one was barerly warm in the middle, edges were cold). 15 mins (midnight was upon us) chat over the phone with restaurant manager or owner or shift manager, but we negotiated delivery of a fresh one. To sum it up, poor communication with the driver, a bit of misunderstanding with the owner/manager, my dinner was delayed by half an hour or so, but consensus was achieved. Customer service 4/5, delivery itself 1/5. I would like to belive that was a single episode and the lightning won't strike again. Pizza was definetly good. Just those herbs.. ;)

Absolutely lovely customer service, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The pizza itself was really good too, fresh toppings and a great dough base. Overall, a great experience!

EDIT . This place was called Foodies. Unfortunately they closed their business. Havent yet been to Pizza la rosa but will defo try one day. Foodies review - Great food! They make Chinese food and middle Eastern food. Its halal which is great as its the only Chinese place I have found that is halal in newport. Haven't had Chinese food for a while and this place did not disappoint! I absolutely loved the chicken balls, calamari rings and noodles. My mother loved the sweet and sour chicken. Friendly staff and will be coming back! Definitely recommend!!

This place is a hotspot for Middle Eastern food. The owners are really friendly. The menu is endless ranging from British cuisine to Asian food. Real food hub for the foodies with great options and a wide menu! 🥘

Third time ordering from here and quality has been consistently great. Food is honestly amazing. Everything tastes very fresh and flavours are excellent. Can't fault it. Decent quantity everytime. Staff are very friendly and hygiene is top notch. I would highly recommend this restaurant A*
