The best restaurants in Caerleon Newport South Wales

Just bought food for the evening from the local Chinese take away. I can honestly say it was the worst take away I have ever had. All of it was cold or at best luke warm. The sauces were all very thick and glutinous. Most of the food went into the bin. Avoid for the sake of your health!!

Popped into this cafe when visiting the Roman baths. We were met by very friendly staff who were courteous and helpful. We ordered Panninis, scones, tea, and coffee and were treated to very tasty food. The scones were so good we took some home. Great little cafe to remember for future visits.

As always, another stand out meal from the guys at The Prince. Awesome quality, arrived piping hot and tasted amazing. Thank you!

Beautiful food. This restaurant has a good sized carpark which is free to park in. The food is delicious (although not cheap) and their is a really great outside play area with undercover seating. I imagine this will be really great when the weather is warmer!

Nice friendly pub. Went for the rugby with friends and was surprised to get a free bowl of curry at half time. Much appreciated. The regular menu looked good too

Nice place, but let down a bit by navigating through the building, alot of people get confused so wasn't just us, which goes to show they really need to update the signs. Rooms were OK although appearing outdated, pillows were deformed and rock hard, the towl rail didn't work, bathroom extractor didn't work either and a gap in the window so things are showing the age or lack of maintenance, walls are very thin, even in our friends room you could hear people talking a d the tv, could hear people walking in corridor at nighttime and flushing toilets. Nice cheap frills hotel unless other areas were better than where we stayed in. You have to precook all activities in advanced too as the availability on the day cannot be guaranteed

I had Sunday roast with my daughter today at the Hanbury all was fine apart from the roast potatoes which were burnt black and the stuffing wasn't cooked I go there quite a lot and hope it will be better next time 🙂

Stayed in the Celtic Manor for Christmas and had all our meals in the Olive Tree & Garden. The Christmas lunch was excellent, the staff were friendly, respectful and courteous and the standard of service was second to none.

We had an incredible experience with our family of four. Raz made our children feel really special and the food was five star. Raz was the best waiter we ever had - from Rhys, 11 : )

We were visiting on holiday and wanted a chinese takeaway and looked at the reviews and thought this was worth a try. When we got there, you had to phone your order though, not knowing this, one of the staff very kindly came out to see us and take our order, who was very friendly and helpful. So glad we chose this one. The food was so tasty and we all agreed it was the best takeaway we had ever had, and we have had a few! We couldn't get over the portion sizes, especially the chicken balls, as well as being a good price, there was simply nothing to fault. We wish it was our local chinese. We shall certainly be back when in the area again.

There’s a reason why all the 5 star reviews are from 2+ years ago. Never have any ingredients available, I’m not sure how they ever make a complete sub but worst was the lady who obviously didn’t wear a name badge for a reason; could not be bothered at all, made a single order at a time and was the least switched on person in the county. A complete shambles as other reviews have said, drive to another store, it’ll be worth it!

Slow service. Food was unexpectedly poor for such a lovely hotel. The food of this bar lets the hotel down. Would definitely not recommend.
