Just left Mumbles after a stroll & coffee in Verdi’s. Decided to give this cafe a go for lunch, wow, delicious food, well presented & so tasty! Never been before, but this is now on our favourite list for lunch!! Varied choice at reasonable prices, comfy seating, great loo!! Pleasant, efficient staff - see you again soon! 👍locally sourced food with great veggie choice 👌

The food took forever. The worker was very disrespectful towards me and my friends, He called me a boy multiple times after telling him i was a girl. He kept staring at me weirdly. He was very rude. he was shouting at me while i was just sitting there waiting for my food. He asked me if i was faking a disability. He shouted because my friend accidentally tipped BBQ sauce on her lap when we asked him for tissue he told us not to mess about when we were just waiting for our food. when the food came it was freezing cold. His manner was very awful and the customer service was absolutely shocking. My friends and i were waiting for an hour for a 10" pizza, 2x fries and popcorn chicken that came out cold.

Can't rate the food as we didn't order, but we arrived only a few hours to finding this gem! The people both staff and customers were so welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend before this place. It's a case of use it or lose it!!! Dog friendly too!!!

Ive edited my rating down one star for today's visit. I have been on 2 other occasions in the evening and had really nice food and service. Today we called in (table of 4) to have breakfast and wish we had stuck with The Hideout (same owner) but the breakfast and service there is outstanding! Got a table straight away today and given menu's but had about a 20min wait before anyone came to take our order. We were so ready to eat that we ordered drinks and our food the same time. The waitress originally was taking just our drinks order! Breakfast ordered and drinks arrived pretty much withing 10 mins but our breakfast was over 35 min wait! When the food finally did arrived it wasn't very hot and one breakfast had the wrong egg order so had to go back! The boy server bringing the order may have been new or just not trained correctly, but when u bring food to the table u state what the dish is so we can say who's it is, this server just wanted us to look at the plate and guess! I got so frustrated i ended up telling him to state what the dish was so it could go to the correct person!! With the amount of staff i really don't understand how service can be so slow! Is it down to the trainning, lack of organisation, is the chef not having enough support? I wish i could say the breakfast was worth the wait but it was a big let down to be honest. My pastrami was chewy and the muffing was hardly toasted! Luke warm beans and bacon on another breakfast and the toast was thin seeded, which was not mentioned. Won't be going back for breakfast again!! I do hope to get a better experience if we do go back in the evening again🤞🤞 Update and edited review down to 3 star as of 1/5/25 Service was very slow, and we couldn't even see a server to get attention at one point. But the icing on the cake was the cold churros, which we sent back, only to return with a second fresh batch which were then like a brick!! Complainted,had them sent back and taken off the final bill. Did not attempt another option, paid bill and left!!

Awful place. Next to a park so cake for some fresh air followed by soft play and lunch only to be told you can’t go in after the park. It’s on the website…put it in big bold writing outside the cafe too…thank god you don’t pre pay!! Rude and very in kid friendly for a kid orientated area. Won’t be returning and making sure everyone knows.

We have been getting takeaways from here on and off for years,, but today the food was disgusting.!! Meat was hard and very chewy, rice was cold, curry sauce was inedible. Will not be going here ever again

We bought our usual meal. Cheese, leek and potato pie served with salad but we pay a bit more as instead of ordering salad with it we ask for bacon and beans on the side. Gutted when they've run out of them. Stunning everytime

Great night in our staff do considering the original entertainment was cancelled and we ended up having a band and a free drink of our choice to compensate.. We enjoyed a two course meal, turkey or beef dinner & dessert, I would of preferred a starter, but wasn't given the choice.. Serving staff were a shambles, no organisation, some quite miserable!! Served hot plates then 15minutes later the meat, 10 minutes later the veg, then the gravy, which ended up being warm food.. Not one table was completely served at once only half served, which spoilt a lovely delicious meal, if i was the chef I'd be annoyed.

First takeaway from here and it will be the last - sweet and sour was particularly grim! Very red and gloopy!!

Very disappointed, you'd expect the windows to be pristine in a restaurant but they were disgusting all the time we were there. Menu does not change! Anyone staying more than a couple of days will go elsewhere. Very expensive food, waited an hour for a steak that was tiny and tough for £ 26 . No vegetables served with it just a sauce and chips. Fish and chips £14.95 - they were okay but not worth the price, there's a great chippy around the corner! Menu was boring and expensive. Coach passengers received a far better menu than we did, a roast dinner. I feel every restaurant should offer a nice roast dinner on the menu. Breakfast was okay, BUT the old fashioned toaster was extremely slow, it took 3-4 minutes to very lightly toast one side of the bread, it needed to be put through a second time however someone else has put bread in so we couldn't make a decent slice of toast on the mornings we were there. Why not invest in a couple of 4 slice toasters to make it easier for everyone? Teas and coffees were outside the dining room so you had to go and get your own, it would be nice if staff brought refills around. The coffee seemed watered down to me, very poor. I could not in all honesty recommend this restaurant. Long wait for food, coaches got priority.
