First time ordering here and enjoyed it more than usual one we go to. Prawn dishes really lovely.We will be back!!!

Food is beautiful, expensive though

A basic order for a fried rice chips and BBQ sauce somehow become fried rice, chips and curry sauce. Very basic mistake yet when phoning up to correct issues told I'd need to go back to collect and order. Chicken curry and rice was very good though. Also no delivery available.

Had Singapore chow main no meat only a few prawns

Sometimes I phone an order through on this occasion I called in and ordered at the counter. Food was quickly prepared and served . The chicken curry was great and their chips were proper chips not thin frozen ones

We’ve been going to the china kitchen for many, many years. The food has always been very good, we’ve never had any problems. However, last night, it was awful. Completely tasteless, not much meat, but large chunks of something that looked like lumps of fat. Food was cold and we only live 3 minutes away. Poppadoms were soft and chips were hard and dry. VERY VERY disappointed. Can’t see us returning any time soon. Should have actually taken it back, instead it went in the bin

Well went here tonight thought I have a change from happy wok, sorry now as potion size small, food not that tasty , chicken was that processed stuff . Won’t be going there again not even if it was free.

Not impressed with the food, chicken balls were overcooked and dry, chips were dry, large chips didn't even cover a small, poppadoms were soft .. won't be back anytime soon. Staff were friendly and food was served quickly but no good if food is rubbish

Always have nice food here, been eating here over 13 years and still nice and my burger and chips were lovely and fresh.

Used to love this place a couple years ago however now Only one word for it… vile! Such a shame. £5-6 more expensive than our usual Chinese and definitely not worth it!! Chicken balls were literally dripping in grease, the curry was watery and the whole thing tasted dirty. It all went in the bin after a few mouthfuls and both myself and my partner feel sick (think that’s the grease) Highly disappointed, won’t be ordering again 🤢

First time customer last night and last time customer. Had a beef curry and it was disgusting, the curry sauce was very watery, bland and didn't taste like curry sauce. The beef was like chewing fat!! So much better In the area.

I visited China Kitchen for the first time this week. I’m a vegetarian. They had no vegetable chow mein on the menu, so I had a Chinese vegetable curry. It was completely tasteless and bland. I can’t imagine that the Chef would ever eat this food in her/ his own house...It wasn’t cheap either. Will be giving this take away a wide berth in future...

Ordered food and was not the best we had for a Chinese takeaway. One of the dishes we ordered was a house special chow mein...there was nothing special about it, rather bland, and £2.00 for a tiny carton of curry sauce 😳 scandalous! And we were all literally still hungry an hour later after we are it! And when we went to pick up our order, me and a couple of other customers were waiting more than 10 minutes because a local decided to have a catch up chat with the woman who was serving... so here's a tip ... Catch up on your own time woman! Not during a busy serving time.

I have eaten from this establishment for years. Never had a bad meal from them so I am wary of any reviews I see claiming this. The food is excellent and while its true that its not cheap. You get what you pay for. Friendly staff and good service. Also take credit card which is handy. Would reccomend this establishment to anyone.

Tried this place after not being for years, can not believe how much it has changed! WAY overpriced compared to other Chinese's, food was mediocre at best and the chips barely edible, soft, under cooked and soggy. Will NOT be going there again....

Didn't understand one thing we was saying gravy tastes like rat poison and chips taste uncooked

These used to be the best Chinese around but things have changed drastically. Food has gone terrible. The curry sauce doesn't taste the same, battered chicken balls are like slime and the sweet and sour sauce its different everytime I get it, its either thick or running.

Staff are a bit slow food is expensive for take away

I have a Gluten Intolerance, so making sure what I eat is not cross contaminated with other food or ingredients is a health issue. I usually express this to staff. I am fine eating Chicken Fried Rice and Chips. But I always make my Gravy at home, so that I have no issue with ingredients or cross contamination.

Chips are always Disgusting from here!!! Because they mix afternoon chips with the fresh ones 😕

You will NEVER find a curry as good as these. I've been going here for over 30 years.

Gutted, drove all the way from Pontardulais for my usual favorite, got home and had the wrong order.

It's hit and miss. Some times the food is lovely, other times it's awful. Today was the awful day. Tasteless, dry and the chips looked and tasted like they had been sat in the fryer for hours.

Lovely Chinese but rather expensive 1 meal and rice was over £10

Lovley food, clean and you can see the kitchen , had chicken fried rice, soft noodles with chips and curry sauce, one order enough for two people, friendly staff.

This really is the best place for a Chinese in port talbot, always hot and fresh. Chip shop side isn't treat soggy chips and the customer service is even worse. Such a shame as it spoils the experience when the staff are miserable and rude. My recommendation, remind your staff about basic front of house skills and start doing home deliveries

Chips are not as nice as they used to be. The staff seem generally rushed and slightly miserable. The chicken curry is still lovely.

Had a Chinese as the one we normally go to doesn't open on a Tuesday - what a bad mistake that was wish we had stayed home and had beans on toast!!!! The prices were a joke unfortunately on us, I thought being out of town it would be cheaper how wrong I was it was much more expensive. Portions are small, you don't get the usual free prawn crackers as you do from most takeaways, the curry was just processed chicken in normal chip shop curry sauce. Don't waste your money or time going to this place, stay at home and have anything else as it will be much better. Plus to top it all I have never seen such rude staff these 2 women need a lesson in customer services...

Average food, quick friendly service.

Called here 2 weeks or so ago for a special curry on a Tuesday evening. There was nothing special about it. Portions were very small compared to other Chinese food in the area. Curry sauce was very little and very very bland. Who put chopped and shaped ham into a curry? The chips were nicely cooked, and that is the only positive thing I can say. Customer service was also poor. Had a bit of a discussion with a member of staff on social media, (not the person who served me) Her final comment was... 'so what if he had a bad meal, not the end of the world is it?' Needless to say I will never go back.

Fast and cheap food, with great chips !

Literalmente no vayas a ningún otro sitio para China y, aunque me gusta Franco, China Cocina tiene mejores patatas fritas durante unos 50 kilómetros.

A small local pub with loads of character close to town centre. Parking a little difficult but if you want a good pint give it a go.

We have used this takeaway for years and it justs get betterwe have eaten all kinds of Chinese food from there, as well as fish ,pies rissoles,etc it has always been top standard,recommended for a good takeaway.

This was a great takeout. It certainly was not gourmet but the portions were generous, it was well cooked and very tasty. There was not a single dish I did not enjoy. the crisy beef was fantastic. the scallops and shrimp cooked to perfection. The chow mien was some of the best I have had In Wales and I could go on. We ordered over thirty dishes. it was a large group. Everything arrived hot and well packaged. It really was good. I will go back there the next time in Wales for sure

We had a great meal from here to take back to our Best Western as we do not always want to eat out with the dog. Great value good cooked food quickly.

Been eating here for years is one of the best chinese in the town. Always freshly cooked and quick service and the lady owner is fantastic, really friendly and nearly always gives my daughter a fruit shoot
