Called here today for the first time, great service, lovely place. Hot chocolate and Latte's ordered along with a piece of cake, very nice! Highly recommended. Come on BCBC, sort out Bridgend Town centre, move the trash along and get the welcomed footfall and visitors needed for these wonderful businesses to thrive! They deserve it!

There’s not enough words to describe how unbelievable our special day at lakeside was. From the very first visit we fell in love with the venue. Every detail in every corner took our breath away. Lou is simply one of the most amazing people we’ve ever met! From our very first meeting she made everything run so smoothly and was always there when we needed her she truly is one of a kind. Both Lou and the team went beyond our expectations for our special day and all of our guests couldn’t help but compliment not just the gorgeous venue and all the detail but the dream team delivering our day who all made and effort to interact and assist all of our guests in whatever way they could. When they say “your day your way” they’re not wrong !! Everything we asked for was made possible especially with lous extensive list of vendors who are all lovely !! We had the posh BBQ and wow it was something else all of our guests loved it!! The Welsh cakes, brownies and strawberries were a massive hit and so was the dessert table !! I can’t recommend lakeside enough Lou, Carl, Ayesha and the whole team make it one of the most magical experiences you could imagine! From keeping me hydrated to keeping the day on track they have everything covered! Can’t wait to come back and visit … and look for another excuse to have an event here!!! We will forever be grateful for the most magical memories you’ve helped to create ❤️

Really Fancied a panini this morning. Headed down here and had the chorizo chicken and cheese panini. Was absolutely lush. Josh and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. Lovely hot chocolate too. Lovely to sit outside and watch the world go by. Well worth a visit

Poco Poco is our favourite place for a fabulous meal. The choice of food is fresh, & the meats & fish are on view. The staff are plentiful, very friendly & helpful. The venue itself is beautiful. You can be seated inside or in the conservatory, which we prefer, which is decorated as if you were in a Mediterranean restaurant. It is recommended that you book for the evening sittings, which you can do online, with a good choice of sitting times too. The tapas menu is varied, but I enjoy the red snapper in chilli tomato sauce, as it's the only place in the area that sells it. Well worth a visit.

Not my local chippy as I live in Cefn glas, but easily the BEST IN BRIDGEND. Friendly staff, amazing food and not a extortionate price.

1 star as it states it opens at 7:30am, well its past 8am now and it's still shut.

Booked to go with friends. Staff very attentive, menu good. All had starters and mains. Starters came , I had the arancini, very tasty , but the waiter started clearing the plates whilst a couple of us were still eating and then the main meal came and I hadn’t finished my starter ! So straight into the Mail meal - seafood risotto- all enjoyed our meal, but in the night terrible pains in my stomach and I had sickness and diarrhoea throughout the night ! I was the only one to have seafood and the only one Ill Shame as the food was tasty.

We've always loved this cool little place for it's chilled ambiance, nice food, quirky decor, music and service. We are big coffee lovers and unfortunately were disappointed today (hence the three star rating which before today would have been a five) that the new cups are even smaller but still the same (already expensive!) price. I probably wouldn't go for coffee here anymore as it's not worth the money, which is a real shame because usually we go a couple of times a week. Really tasty soup and panini deal for lunch. Yummy desserts. The quiz is good fun, too. Wish they did it more regularly!
