Not my local chippy as I live in Cefn glas, but easily the BEST IN BRIDGEND. Friendly staff, amazing food and not a extortionate price.

Lovely people but omg the worst food I tasted.. ate some very hard chips.. undercooked also the curry was so thick and that it was like eating jelly.. what I did eat of the food gave me severe sickness.. both me and my partner.. it wasnt cheap food either

To be fair, asked for small chips- got loads, sausage in batter was lush. Lady serving bit forgetful, she got there in the end tho 👍

The massive potatoes fritter or scallop depends where you're from . It was so big and delicious, the best one I've had for a long time in thd uk, and it wasn't greasy . We had fish and chips to was lovely meal and prices were amazing and affordable. Also ordered a chip butty was very big for just over £12 great value for money .

Certainly the best fish and chip shop in Bridgend. Good value, great food, friendly staff and a proper fish and chip shop unlike others in the area. For a fish and chip shop to survive for so long it must be good. Doesn't rely on awards granted many years ago or only open during the summer months, a shop that knows the business and does it well. Excellent!

Best fish and chips in town, in my opinion

I went to this chip shop recently because ynydawdre s card machine was down , and I did not want to pay to use the cash machine .It turns out I would have been better off ! I ordered a large bag and a regular which ended up feeding my teenage son with a handful left over for an adult . I was shocked at the size of the regular chips , thought it was a half bag before asking . In ynysawdre a large bag feeds 2 adults . I was left unfed after visiting this chip shop !

Always been the best chips in and around Bridgend. When we visit family in Cefn Glas, this is our go to for take away. Great staff, great service and realistic value for money.

Ordered my food which was over charged as it should of come as a chicken and chips tray meal but charged regular chips on top. The amount of chips we both had was poor for the price. £10 for chicken breast and chips , savloy and chips, not coming here for my lunch during work anymore shame

Not the best chippy in Bridgend. Staff are friendly but the fish is riddled with bones everytime we've been here and the chips are soggy and tasteless. Expensive too for the poor quality. I recommend finding a different chippy in town as this one isn't great!

Should have read the reviews before buying chips from here. Large chips £2.80 is more suitable for a small child. Obviously the owner is not reading his past reviews as this isn’t the 1st time quantity has been mentioned. Shame, because they tasted lovely.

Brilliant little find. It was our first time in the area and we found this place on Google maps. Smelt like a proper fish & chip shop as soon as we walked in :-) The chips were proper chunky chippy chips and the fish was succulent with a lovely crispy batter. Our food was freshly made and the wait time was very short.

Had memories of going to buy fish and chips from here some years ago, they were fantastic, perfect batter, light and crispy. The fish inside was pure white, flaky and cooked to perfection. If I remember rightly, it was owned by an Italian family who have a "famous " ice cream business locally. Anyhow, driving past, I noted they were open so I decided to treat myself and surprise my wife. What a disappointment, soggy batter, heavy and thick. Fish, skin on and full of bones, and a really odd taste and smell. The chips, although an extremely generous portion, these had a really strange texture, these too, had a strange smell and taste, I suspect that the oil they use, is also used for all the other items on the vast menu. I will go back and try them again, who knows, maybe if I go when someone else is flying they could be totally different, we'll see. But for now, not on my list of favourites.

Best chippy in Bridgend. Family own and run for 2 generations. Consistently great and offering great value. They are quick to serve never cooking too much in advance, giving freshly cooked food for every customer.

Excellent, two beautiful piece of cod, ample chips which were nicely cooked, I ordered over the phone for a set time, order was being made up as I arrived, and fairly priced and the young lady who served me was very pleasant, all in all first class.

Best chip shop around! We visit every Friday and the food is always spot on! Highly recommend the mushy pea fritters but order them 10 mins before collection via phone. Won't have chops anywhere else. 10/10

Great food at a sensible price even though it is on the seaside. The kids loved the bucket and spade full of sausage and chips. Would be five stars but for the massive queues please come up with a better system
