Big Moose is, hands down, my favorite spot in Cardiff. After living abroad for 18 months, it was the first place I had to visit for lunch now that I’m back - and it’s just as good as I remember. The warm, wholesome vibes and brilliant atmosphere make it such a special place. Tucked away off Queen Street, it’s a true hidden gem. It often looks closed from the outside because there’s no sign, but that just adds to its charm—it really is one of Cardiff’s best-kept secrets. The limey avocado is to die for! I had the Big Moose Classic with a poached egg added—absolutely delicious. I also tried the Baileys hot chocolate from their Christmas drinks specials, and it was perfection. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out!

Ordered the mixed grill platter for 2 for delivery. Honestly one of the best mixed grills I’ve ever had, I’ve been wanting to try Persian food for ages now and this was a great introduction to it. Both my husband and I enjoyed it thoroughly, would want to visit the actual restaurant with the family prior to leaving Cardiff.

We had our wedding at De Courcey’s in October 2024. From initial consultations to the day after our event, the staff were professional, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Anything we requested or suggested, Lewis, Lucy and the team worked their hardest to make it happen. They use their expertise and professionalism to advise us where necessary and we felt looked after every step of the way. You’re getting experience when you book with this venue. We can’t thank the team enough - you can tell it is a family run business. We look forward to joining you for Sunday lunches for years to come❤️

Best coffee in Cardiff just wish the atmosphere was nicer. Inside is small, outside you have the ugly view of St Marys Street and the Warhammer shop lol. Still 5* because the coffee is miles miles miles better than literally anywhere else in Cardiff. Very big avocado toast portion too 😋

Well started off ok friendly staff polite conversation, then we went through to the restaurant, where we obviously were to have our meals ,I had a steak and Guinness pie which to me tasted of pepper ,to much pepper ,edible but unfortunately not enjoyable , my wife had a burger and took one bit and was not able to eat anymore how ever we did think the desert menu would be ok but sadly that was awful no real choice at all, also there were two different menu,s one for day one for evening which they did not tell us about, when I googled this place it was in the top ten places to eat but alas we did not like it , not saying every meal was bad at all just the ones we had ,try it your self you may fair better than we did
